Offering bed and full breakfast only, Heworth Court is situated just 10-15 minutes’ walk from York Minster and is situated on the shuttle-bus route (park and ride) into York.

Minster Bells bar has a selection of over 30 malt whiskies as well as draught beers and soft drinks. Minster Bells is open all day. There is private, free car parking at the main hotel and at Sutherland House, the Georgian annexe situated 2 doors away, complete with CCTV.
Heworth Court was awarded 4 stars in the category of 'Guest Accommodation' by VisitBritain in April 2008. It is not a 4-star hotel. All public areas and en suite guest bedrooms are strictly non-smoking.

All standard rooms are strictly non-smoking. Several rooms are located in Sutherland House, the late Georgian building a little further down the road. Some rooms are on the 2nd floor. Heworth Court does not have a lift.

Superior rooms are spacious, non-smoking, luxury rooms. In addition to the facilities already listed (see below), the rooms have a coffee table and a hospitality tray. Several rooms are located in 'Sutherland House,' the late Georgian annexe a little further down the road. Superior rooms are not all identical and vary in size, bed type and location. Guest requests will be considered but cannot be guaranteed.

Directions
By car: Drive around the York Outer Ring Road (York Bypass a64 or a1237) until you reach the double roundabout on the east side of York (Scarborough side). Exit into York on the a1036 (avoid the a1036 West) - the hotel is on the left-hand side, just before the pedestrianised central York shopping area.
