The Maid's Head is located in Norwich city centre, in front of the famous Norman cathedral. It is one of the most famous hotels in the city. It has fine examples of 13th century architecture. At the heart of the city, in the district of fashionable Tombland, in front of the famous Norman cathedral. It has free parking and is the ideal base to explore the historic city of Norwich, or the multitude of nearby attractions. Norwich is a perfect base for tourists with many attractions for all ages within the city and its surrounging areas, as well as nearby Sandringham. There is also a bar where you can enjoy a drink in a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for relaxation after a busy day. As part of our ongoing improvement programme, during January to the end of May 2008, the hotel will be completing another phase of bedroom refurbishment. This will result in 42 bedrooms refurbishment being completely up to the standard expected of a modern hotel. Also please note that from 14 January until the end of February 2008, the hotel lift will be out of service for an overhaul.

Directions

By Car:
- Follow the signs to Norwich city centre, take the inner ring round and turn left onto the A147 towards the north of the city.
- At the roundabout for the A1151, signposted Wroxham, follow the signs for the cathedral and the law courts along Whitefriars.
- The hotel is approx 400 metres further on, on the right-hand side along Palace Street.

By Air:
The hotel is approximately 3 miles (5 km) from Norwich International Airport. Taxis are readily available from just outside the airport.

By Train:
The hotel is approximately one mile (1.6 km) from Norwich railway station. Taxis are readily available from just outside the station.
