Built in 1880, this beautifully restored guest house rests in the heart of the Highlands, offering the perfect base for touring this beautiful area.
Found on the main route from Loch Ness to the Isle of Skye, you can take a day trip to the loch, explore the Highlands’ famous whisky trails or search for your ancestors.
The Manse offers a comfortable guest lounge with an authentic log fire and selection of books or board games. Set within an acre of picturesque grounds, rooms benefit from stunning views. As well as a traditional Scottish cooked breakfast, all dietary needs are catered for on request. There is secure off-street parking and a safe space to park bikes.
Glenmoriston Manse is a traditional Highland Villa from the Victorian period, originally built as the home of the local Minister.

The Great Glen Room

This double room benefits from a great view of the mountains behind the hotel and the wide variety of birds that live in the grounds. In the colder months, you may even catch a glimpse of some of the wild red deer who come to visit. Area Information
Glenmoriston Manse lies between Inverness to the North, Fort William and Ben Nevis to the South, Loch Ness and the Cairngorms to the East and the Isle of Skye to the West.
The Manse is a fabulous location for a range of outdoor pursuits, from boat tours in search of the elusive Loch Ness Monster, golf on the shores of the loch, bike rides out to Skye, hikes through the Munroes to contemplative walks in the footsteps of Bonnie Prince Charlie through some of the most beautiful scenery the country has to offer.
There are many walks, hikes and cycle routes in the immediate area. Sailing, kayaking and hunting trips can also be arranged on request. We are near several golf courses and salmon or trout fishing trips can be easily organised in the River Moriston or the nearby lochs. The Highlands also offer a wealth of historical castles, churches, gardens, ancient monuments and stunning wildlife to explore.

Directions
From Inverness Airport:
- Take the A96 through the city of Inverness and follow the signs for the A82 road, down the coast of Loch Ness.
- At Invermoriston, turn right onto the A887 for Kyle of Lochalsh and the Isle of Skye.
- The Manse is 6 miles further on this road, on the right hand side.
From Glasgow / Prestwick Airport:
- Take the A82 north, through Fort William to the shores of Loch Ness.
- At Invermoriston, turn left onto the A887.
- Continue as above.
From Edinburgh Airport:
- Take the A9 motorway to Inverness and then follow the A82 along the Loch until you reach Invermoriston, the start of Glen Moriston.
- Continue as above.
Trains run from London, Edinburgh and Glasgow to Inverness or Fort William.
Several coach operators run daily services throughout the Highlands.
