Situated in the small village of Winterbourne Abbas, this delightful 17th century guesthouse provides an ideal base for touring and walking in Thomas Hardy's beautiful West Dorset.

Close to the dramatic World Heritage Jurassic Coast, and only 5 miles west of Dorchester, Churchview Guest House is noted for its warm, friendly hospitality, characteristic bedrooms and delicious home-cooked meals.

Your hosts, Michael and Jane Deller, will endeavour to provide assistance with local information books and maps on the attractions, walks and touring to assure you of a memorable stay.

Relaxation is provided by two attractive lounges and licensed bar.

Restaurants and Bars

An extensive breakfast selection and delicious evening meals, featuring local produce, creams and cheeses, are served each day in the beautiful period dining room.

Churchview offers home-cooked 4-course evening meals and coffee throughout the week. This is served at 19:00. Evening meal discounts are offered if purchased on 2 nights or more during your stay.

To accompany your meal, Churchview has a good selection of wines and a well-stocked licenced bar.

BY Car: Approach Winterbourne Abbas on the A35, Churchview is in the centre of the village directly opposite the church.

By Bus and Rail: The nearest railway station is Dorchester South, 5 miles from Churchview, on arrival take a taxi or the 31 bus to Bridport which will drop you right out side the door.
