Area Information

The Old Town of Bonn is a lively, colourful quarter which boasts interesting architecture. A few years ago, the streets were rebuilt in an old-fashioned style, and there are many traces of Roman civilisation.

Within walking distance you find Beethoven's birthplace, the house of the artist August Macke, the Kunstforum (Art Forum) and the Frauenmuseum (Museum of Women). A short underground ride takes you to the Museumsmeile (Museum Mile) and the former government and parliament district. This area includes the Museum of Art, the former government and a museum of German history.

  • Cancellations: If cancelled or modified up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled or modified later or in case of no-show, 80 percent of the first night will be charged.

Directions

On foot:
Leave the train station at the main entry and turn left. Follow the tram tracks into Thomas-Mann-Straße. Walk straight ahead until you reach the second traffic lights. Now turn left and cross the Oxford-Straße. Go straight ahead into Breitestraße. You will see a sign hanging above that says Altstad. Turn left into the next street, which is Dorotheenstraße. After about 100 metres you will find us on the right side.

Taking the subway :
You will find the line 66 downstairs in the train station. You need to get the the tram that leads to Siegburg. Get off at the next stop, which is called Stadthaus. Now cross the street to your left and turn into Breitestraße. After 100 metres you turn left into the next street, which is Dorotheenstraße. After about 100 metres you will find us on the right side.

Taking the tram:
The line 61 leading to Auerberg or the line 62 leading to Oberkassel are both a possibility and you will find the stop right across the train station’s main entry. Get off at he second stop, which is called Stadthaus. Now cross the Oxford-Straße to your left and walk into Breitestraße. After 100 metres you turn left into the next street, which is Dorotheenstraße. After about 100 metres you will find us on the right side.
