Hotel Description

Situated in a quiet corner off a little square that rests by the Canal Grande in the heart of the city, you will find this authentic Venetian hotel.

The house dates back to the early 18th century, which can be seen by the glass murrine hall floor and paintings that adorn the walls, including one by Canaletto. The building was made into a hotel in the 1960's and, since then, has been managed by the Salmaso family.

Ala is a short walk from the Academy of Fine Arts, the Fenice theatre, Palazzo Grassi and Ca' Rezzonico.

We have 85 bedrooms which have been renovated recently and include all modern amenities and comforts.

Our meeting room, Kamarowsky, can hold up to 24 people, with coffee breaks or light lunches available on request.

From Railway Station or Piazzale Roma (car terminal):
- Take line 1 to the S. Maria del Giglio stop.

From Venice Marco Polo airport:
- Take the boat shuttle service to St. Mark's Square.
- Then, the Water-bus line 1 to stop number 13 (S. Maria del Giglio).

From Tronchetto car park:
- Take line 82 for Accademia
- Then line number 1 to stop number 13 (S. Maria del Giglio).
- Be cautious of information provided by unauthorized people.
- Official taxis do not exist at this parking terminal.
