"GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY AND THE FOOD WAS QUITE GOOD AND REASONABLY PRICED." (107144588)

    EFFICIENT, CLEAN AND CONVENIENT

NO ISSUES EXCEPT THE FRONT DOORS ARE HEAVY AND AWKWARD WITH SUITCASES, I WOULD RECOMMEND CHANGING TO AUTOMATIC.

"Very good clean hotel that allowed me to have a thoroughly good nights sleep for a location that could have been noisy. The continental breakfast layout was the best I have ever experienced in a hotel on this type of budget." (107260785)

Location. Modern. Very Quiet for motorway location. Excellant supply of breakfast food and teas.

Lack of response dealing with a loud drunk at the bar who kept stating he was the owners son. He was not personally offensive but in his way was quite threatening. Tables required clearing and if empty a good wipe/clean. Ignoring several requests by clients at breakfast to turn TV down.

"It was just somewhere to sleep but I still think the breakfast could have been better." (97513980)

    Easy to find, nice shower.

Breakfast room was filthy. Tables were not cleared. The bowls and plates were all dirty and nothing was replenished and the staff didn't seem to care.

"We were quite happy with the Hotel as a whole and thought the room and breakfast of good quality. The only negative comment I can make is that there was not enough reception staff. When we arrived there was a lot of people waiting to be seen at reception but of the two staff on duty, one of them had to serve drinks at the bar! In total we had to wait about 20 minutes to be seen." (97962774)

"The hotel is maintained to a good standard. The price of drinks at the bar is beyond belief, £3 for small bottle of cider. The breakfast leaves a lot to be desired croissants-stale. The restaurant food is of a poor standard and expensive-better quality/ price via takeaway." (97539701)

    location to work

toilet did not flush correctly and taps on wash basin loose

"All major hotel chains operating in this price bracket tend to be pretty similar and generally characterless. From the outside this hotel is really not much different and being next to the Dartford Tunnel, there is no real excitement when approaching the hotel. However, this hotel compensates for its lack of character with very good customer service and facilities. The rooms are quite well equipped and they are working on air conditioning which is a real bonus. The restaurant menu is quite limited but I had no complaints about the value of my evening dinner or the service. If you fancy something more exotic then Bluewater is 10 mins away with a wide selection of restaurants and cafes. All the staff were helpful and cheerful. Top marks to them." (97570186)

Reasonably large, clean room with armchair and coffee table for comfortable reading and working

Convenient location south of the Thames with good road links for onward travel. Well maintained hotel with helpful staff. Would be happy to stay there again.

The room was very clean and well equipped, and despite facing the Dartford Bridge it was very quiet.

The hotel was sighted on a major roundabout and access wasnt clearly signposted, there are 2 possible exits and if you chose the wrong exit then you're on the motorway! We arrived late at night and found the car park out the front and at the side is pitch black. The reception hallway had just been polished and was like an ice-rink!

Apart from the heating controller and the noise from the heater fan (Room 322) our stay was all we would expect at a reasonable price. We are planning a two night stay over Xmas and will be checking prices and availablity soon." (97974263)

Twin beds, very comfortable and nice clean fresh.

Old TV. Teletext subtitles are not working. Still afraid if I pay charge for TV I don't need films so I mostly avoid. I want normal BBC1 to Channel 4.

"Overall a very relaxed one night stay. Would certainly choose this chain of hotels again as long as they continue to give value for money." (99920453)

Very comfortble, clean and well equipped room.

I do prefer real keys to the room and not electronic locks with plastic cards that never seem to work first time.

"At the point of booking, it is vital to be given the option of booking a non smoking room as to end up sleeping in a room smelling of smoke is extremely unpleasant and unhealthy if you are a non smoker." (99127578)

The size of room and facilities available were very good. Overall very clean and comfortable.

We were allocated a designated smoking room although we are non-smokers. The complete corridor was a 'smoking room zone' and consequently the smell was most unpleasant both in and outside our hotel room. The hotel staff were unable to change our room as the hotel was full.

"The hotel was extremely adequate for my short stay. I would not hesitate in staying again. However, the hotel did feel quite remote if you wished to walk into anywhere in the evening." (99656222)

Comfort of the room and politeness of the staff.

The shower tray in my room did not drain away as it should have.

Its a holiday Inn, a bed for the night.

    Small Towels

    "Excellent value for money." (99031541)

The rooms were comfortable and clean. The staff on reception and behind the bar were pleasant and effecicient.

The dessert we ordered was frozen and so unavailable making the choice of what was available very limited. There shower gel dispenser in the shower was empty.

I have stayed in 5 star hotels who had many problems, this Express Holiday Inn served me well with no complaints - Thank you for a very pleasant and relaxing stay." (99499222)

The room was very comfortable,as was the bed. The en suite was well designed, and all the appliances were as they should be.

"Generally, our stay was ok considering we were out most of the time but as stated above, other areas needs to be reviewed" (99478921)

The hotel is very tidy and easy to locate. Considering it's located off the M25, I could hardly hear the traffic. Rooms are properly sound proofed

Continental Breakfast, personally was a joke!!!! For the cost of the room and breakfast, especially with young children, the hotel should re-visit their decision. Also, I requested for an Iron and ironing board but was given a toy ironing board that took almost 30mins just to iron a shirt. This is unacceptable. I'd rather pay for the use of a proper ironing board and iron than what I was supplied with. And for those with bad backs, don't even bother yourself.
