wireless internet was the best thing this hotel offered the staff was friendly and nice

the phone was broken. The connection was fixed, but our radio never worked.

"I would definitely not go again and would probably avoid inner city hotels." (107231221)

Pleasant attitude in staff. Quite helpful. Central

Filthy curtains. I had to use a blanket and quilt obviously used by someone else. What about duvets which means, normally, all the bedding is obviosly clean? Sink too small. Cold but got a fire. My taxi didn't come and with reception on the 3rd floor it was difficult to get help.I asked for a quiet inner room but had to listen to a disco all night.

Excellent check in and very friendly and helpful staff.

Room was quite tired and dated and in need of redecoration. Also very noisy as right next to the train station.

"Only hiccup occurred re payment, as I thought giving card details on the online booking system, would deduct payment from my account. There was no mention on the booking form that you have to pay on arrival at hotel. Staff member at reception was very helpful, and also agreed that some wording needs to be added, and that current wording was very vague" (107283240)

Remote control for TV not working and missing button on actual TV set, curtain not securely fitted on the rail. No bar or restaurant facilities for evening meal.Door key card not working and had to be re-set at reception more than once.

I asked for a quiet cool room and I think this request was catered for as far as you can considering the location , but very convenient for station.

The bed was uncomfortable and squeaked each time I moved. A bit expensive considering no breakfast included.Needs up dating generally.

"£6 is much too expensive for breakfast or at least, at that price, it should be served in room. Amex charged me 62€ for my room which does not seem to me the equivalent of the £48 I paid (but of course I may be wrong) - to my mind £49.50 = €62? I would stay in this hotel again but only, repeat only, because of its proximity to the station." (97744080)

room clean & properly equipped -tv in working order - fairly quiet considering position of hotel - wash basin a little small.Shower towel not large enough& why only paper bath mat?

Room on 10th floor - extremely difficult to find second lift (from 7th to 10th) - true there are various doors marked "reception" but this is not enough there should be arrows clearly marked "lift to reception" & "lift to 10th floor"

"Comfort Inn Bishopsgate Street is clean, quiet, and the rooms well equipped, with coffee-making facilities and a hairdryer. It is excellent value (I paid £32.50 for single occupancy of a double room on a bank holiday weekend). But the best thing is that it's very central and convenient. The hotel is right across the road (two minutes' walk) from the main City Station, which has a very useful and well-stocked tourist information centre, a WH Smith newsagent and a late-opening Marks & Spencer food hall (great for ready-to-eat meals such as pasta bowls, fresh fruit and snacks, so you can save on eating in restaurants). There's also a useful late-night grocery / snacks / newsagent shop immediately opposite the hotel entrance that even sells individual packets of breakfast cereal if you want a lie-in and miss breakfast. The hotel keeps baggage after check-out for free, so it was very convenient - I was able to scamper about Leeds all day, free of baggage, and just pop in at the last minute to collect my bag just a few minutes before my train left. Check-in is very quick and simple, and the staff are very friendly. There's internet access in the lobby at £1 for 20 minutes, and a rack of useful leaflets. It's not luxurious, but it provides everything you need without any hassle or delays. Just like home, really. I've stayed there a couple of times and wouldn't want to stay anywhere else." (97946528)

It's clean, central and convenient and the room had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. On this occasion, I had a very quiet room, though once when I stayed there (in 2003) I was kept awake at night by street noise and by building noise when I needed an afternoon nap.

The only problems with my room were that it was slightly too hot for me (but admittedly I don't feel the cold) and that the floorboards were a bit squeaky so I was worried about moving around late at night in case I disturbed someone below. Also could have benefited from blackout curtains as the light woke me up at 5am! And BBC4 on the telly would be nice!

"That the noise level can be high due to the noise pollution of the busy traffics and the trains as well. I think it will be realy helpful if was well inform about it." (97143706)

The hotel is right around the city square and the city centre.

The carpets on the room floor, there is loads of stains on it. The noise pollutions coming from the outside traffics.

The location was perfect for my business in Leeds. Although not a plush hotel, the rate reflected this and made it exceptional value for money.

It was spacious and we had everything we needed. The hotel was in a perfect location, next to the train station and the shops. The staff were very helpful, we don't like lifts and they kindly came down and let us in the stair door when our key didn't work.

To use the stairs you needed to use your room kry and ours didn't work in that door. The room wasn't completely clean, there was hair that didn't belong to either of us in the sink.

"The internal fixtures and fittings of the hotel would in a very poor state. Bedroom door was a FIRE DOOR which had a gap all the way around letting light right through. This I am sure is against Health & Safety Regs. Carpets were extremely badly stained. As you came out of the lift the carpet had stained footprints and lots of other stains. There was mould on the bathroom ceiling. As I am a manager in overseas tourism this hotel is most definitely not up to 3 star standards! The bath had rust pitted spots. The television remote control was broken and had sellotape around it to hold the baterries in place." (97529790)

"The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and approachable. There is a facility enabling luggage to be left at reception during the day and collected before returning home. The bathroom facilities were spotlessly clean and spacious for a hotel room. Plenty to choose from for breakfast, although is basic cereal, croissants and toast so need to eat a lot to get value for money. However, there didn't appear any better food alternatives in the local vicinity. There is no restaurant for evening meal in the hotel, but they are happy to supply plates etc for those ordering a take-away." (97272034)

The location - was close to the train station and near the business side of Leeds. It was cheaply priced, but very habitable.

"It is a shame that the hotel was so dirty because the hotel has all the ingredients to be a great one. Great location. An abundance of rooms. Decent sized rooms. Nicely decorated. Relatively quiet. The staff are very friendly and helpfull. Two other collegues have stayed here and have identical complaints so clearly cleaniness is not the best it could be." (97285917)

The location of this hotel was perfect. Located at a stones throw away from the train station and the shopping district, it's at an ideal location for travellers both on business and leisure trips. The room was a good size and had all the necessary facilities: phone, television, kettle (with tea and coffee provided) and iron press.

Cleaniness or dare I say the lack of it. Firstly the smell was hideous, both in the corridors and in the room I was staying in. There was hair (of the human kind) everywhere. The bathroom had not been washed properly there was a haystack of hair all over the walls. It makes me hurl just remembering it. I felt very uncomfortable knowing that there was so much surface dirt in the room. The floor had not been hoovered in a good while. It is a shame because the hotel has all the ingredients to be a great one. Great location. An abundance of rooms. Decent sized rooms. The staff are very friendly and helpfull. Also being in the heart of the town (the inference being lots of drunk people runing around) I found it strange that the front door was not locked after 11pm even though there was a notice stating that it would be.
