Very friendly and helpful. We were staying for son's graduation at Swansea University and proprietors were very good to include son for breakfast and no extra cost

on street parking very limited particularly during university term time

"Nothing was wrong with the whole experience. The room was fantastic, unique but in no way tacky. Everything was thought of and we couldn't have asked for more. The details on the website described it just as we found it. Easy to walk into the centre of Swansea, and a short easy drive to the beatiful Gower. It has already been recommended and we're going back!!" (97694518)

it began as an ordinary hotel untill we entered the room and wow, the decor was fabulous and fittings the same. sumptuous is a small word to describe our visit.

only the stairs, we normaly try to stay away from stairs. if the hotel had been on the same level there would be nothing to compare

"As previously said, I have stayed in many hotels in the UK and abroad, and I can't recall having a better time than I did by staying at the Mirador, we were very lucky in finding this little gem of a place." (97646327)

The owners really made us welcome, the room we had was based on a Japanese theme and was really tastefully done and extremely comfortable. The overall service was excellent, and we were made to feel that we were staying in their home instead of a guest house. The breakfast was one of the best we have ever enjoyed away from home, being able to order what we wanted the day before, the breakfast was freshly cooked and there was more than enough. I highly recommend this guest house, and will definitely stay there again. This was a special weekend for my partner, and Phil and Jeanette through their excellent and friendly service helped to make it even better than I had hoped.

Apart from Phil coming from the wrong part of London there were no other bad points at all.

"As I was late in booking I had little choice. My choice of hotel was governed by the limited number of hotels which accepted dogs.Although in the end I did not take my dog to this hotel so cannot say how he would have been accepted. It would have been useful to know that the room was small and dark." (97878902)

    The breakfast

The room was very dark and small The appearance of the room was very weird and would suit someone of psychadelic tendancies. The ceiling was painted with figures looking down

"The owners were friendly warm and welcoming. They obviously took great pride and care in their hotel, it had a very individual and quirky feel to it in a very charming way. They're obviously used to parents of university students staying- even offering a free breakfast to said student! The individual touches in the rooms such as full size tolietries, toothbrushes, deodorant etc was very nice- I hope others don't abuse it! Breakfast was super- very good standard of poached eggs! All the reccos for the restaraunts were excellent (we even had a 10% discount at the Vietnamise as we mentioned the Mirador). WiFi and satelite YV were an added bonus. If we have to go to Swansea again we'll definitely book the Mirador and strongly recco to others!" (97748578)

The spaciousness- food - breakfast - satelite that worked! Had just come from a reputable chain hotel- the Mirador was everything the other wasn't!

There was no side light in the bedroom- apparently it was on order. Need a shower matt

Everything I could have wanted was there including a huge DVD collection, internet access, and a very generous supply of toiletries and beverages. There was a very large chioce for breakfast, which was extremly nice and again the decor of the breakfast room was beautiful. My room was also very clean. Very friendly people and a gorgeous little dog." (97148600)

I thought the staff were very welcoming, they made us feel comfortable throughout our stay and seemed as if they would do anything for you.

the only thing i would say i disliked (being very picky now) is because it is fairly big, everythig echos, so when people came in and 5:30am, we could hear everything they done. But hey, nothing could be done about that.

We bought an A-Z of Swansea. Good restaurants and bars within 3 minutes walk of Mirador. We intend to stay at the Mirador again when in the South Wales area." (97880613)

Friendly atmosphere, guest house hosts could not do enough for us. A good experience.

Bathroom quite cramped in the suite we occupied.

"A great balance between the cleanliness, comfort and efficiency of a chain hotel, with the the friendliness and personal touch of a guest house. The extensive extras in the bedroom and spacious bathroom made a real difference as did the DVD layer and large library of DVDs available for free. Wireless broadband internet was available, though I did not get the chance to try it out. Great range of options for breakfast - all excellent quality. Above all, nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend this guest house for business or leisure and for individuals or families. I will certainly use them again and have already recommended to others." (99921202)

Excellent B & B. My room (The Mediterranean-themed room)was great - innovative decor. TV, DVD player, CD player, High Speed Internet Access (100Mbps)through wireless connection puts most other hotel facilities to shame. Hosts were excellent, and offered help if needed - with a smile!

Nothing to complain about. Lack of dedicated parking is an issue in a road where most parking is 'Residents Only'
