"Pleasant. friendly staff and general feel of the hotel made this a pleasant stay overall. If you are used to big modern bright hotels this may not be for you. If you like a laid back and old fashioned kind of feel then give this a go. Rooms come up a little small but we had ample storage and the toiletries were fine. very clean. Noise from the nearby airport no problem for us as we stayed at the weekend and we only had two flights come over whilst we were there. You may find this a problem at busier times and stay towards the back of the hotel to avoid the noise from the street if you think that may affect your stay. We were down visiting family and for a place to crash after a busy day, this was just fine. We didn't have the full English breakfast and made do with the newspaper supplied so do not know if they still charge you an additional amount if you request another paper or the breakfast." (97166434)

Position. Staff friendly, if a little slow at breakfast. That is not a complaint as she was busy at the time I guess. problems dealt with straight away.

Unable to controll shower heat. No hairdryer in room (put right at the front desk).

    quite big room

the shower was not good: I could not completely stand under the shower (shower at a too low position), the water temperature was not constant (sometimes very hot and a few seconds later cold) and the water pressure was low. furthermore, at the second day there was not enough staff at the breakfast causing a too long witing time

Friendly, helpful staff, comfortable room. Generous with tea and coffee in the room. Pleasant room service

Credit card arrangements clunky - provide information when booking, then security swipe / pin on arrival - but only for the room charge, so checking out the next morning, it would not take the card as the charge plus food exceeded the security amount - so had to be started all over again. Breakfast (in room) not brilliant - coffee poor, 'fresh fruit' = some tinned grapefruit and some fresh peices of orange, 'muesli' = Special K.

Clean bedroom. Bath and shower in the en-suite. We liked the no smoking policy in the hotel. A cooked breakfast was provided. Courteous staff.

The shower went hot and cold - difficult to control. Not everything on the breakfast menu was available (grapefruit, croissants). Smoke drifted in through the open door in the dining-room at breakfast time - from smoking guests on the patio.

"Overall a good hotel to stay at. The room was clean, tidy and the decoration looked new and not tired in need of a freshen up. The bed was very comfortable and not in need of replacing. Very filling English breakfast, served hot and not swimming in grease. The shower in room 23 however needs attention. It cycles between freezing cold and scolding hot. It gets so hot it is unsafe. A temperature stabilizer shower needs to be fitted as a matter of urgency. Plenty of places within 30 minutes walking to eat and drink." (3304628343)

Clean, tidy, well decorated room. Comfortable bed. Large, non-greasy breakfast.

The shower. The water from it cycled between freezing cold and so scolding hot it was unsafe.

A function was taking place at the hotel - we were advised that dinner would be available in the adjoining room, however the room was still occupied at 8.45pm - we were too hungry to wait any longer. If we had been made aware of the extended time delay this would have been good.

Falcon is a nice hotel. Nice atmosphere with a welcomming feeling to it. Good, friendly staf that allways gave good service.

The sevice and Tempo at the check in/check out could do with some inprovement. There was unresonable long wait to check out. One of the resons might have been the extremly poor computer/printer that was in use and the pay-terminal for creditcards seemed to be slow. The recipt took more than 2 minutes to print. (Unbelivabel nowdays). (The staf vere verry nice and helpful though).

Clean & Comfortable - Centrally located for our purpose.

The room we had is beginning to show signs of age! As non smokers the Lounge area was not usable as there were too many people smoking! Ireland has got it right now that there is no smoking inside pubs & hotels etc It makes a world of difference!

Friendly & professional receptionist who responded quickly to a problem I had with my room.

It was 25 degrees outside and the radiators in my room were on full so the room was more like a sauna than a hotel room. I politely complained and was moved to another room where the cleaner had forgotten to clean/flush the toilet!
