"dissapointing and very poor value for money" (107140556)
Excessive noise from other guests during the night, poor quality food, cleanliness of room and bathroom dubious. loose flagstones on public step areas to and from the rear car park. no decaff coffee.

"An expensive stay but with nice staff." (97351251)
nice breakfast area and adequate choice of food.
No remote control for TV, bad reception. The first room we were given was shoddy, badly decorated, furniture was shabby and the prospect of staying there was not inviting. Fortunately there was a room that wasn't occupied and we got to move. I thought it was very expensive for what you got.

"I enjoyed the room, was very nice!" (97697358)
The ordered Taxi was there in time and even a bid earlier what was beneficial !
I left to early and couldn't enjoy the breakfast, but that is rather caused by my leave at 6:30 ..

"good" (97980316)
Room was quite big and nice. clean sheets and towels. breakfast was good. nice pillows.comfortable soffa. proximity to city and airport, great position, made it easy and inexpensive to move around.
hard bed. very pricey and difficult to change rooms as i booked over the internet, found out it was far much cheaper to book directly. tiny telly.

"Hotel was easy reachable by bus, but not were close to city center." (97662594)
The breakfast was really good and everybody could choose between cooked, vegetarian or continental breakfast. The room was clean.
We didn't like that we could hear every whisper from the room next door. It wasn't possible to sleep because somebody was snoring there.

"My room was very cold upon entry as was the dining room at breakfast, I had to wear a woolen top to keep warm. The breakfast was very poor, it had quite clearly been reheated, the only fresh part was the fried egg. Overall it was unedible" (97302910)
the room was a good size, bed was comfortable
the room was cold as was the dining room

in the area of town we needed comfy bed, in a big airy room. good coffee at breakfast.
surly breakfast staff. no flexability at breakfast - all or nothing full breakfast (would have liked to choose not to have certain food = wasted food) and strictly allocated set time for this plate of food to be put in front of you.

"It was ok, maybe a bit pricey for what was there, but thats Edinburgh for you. The Scottish lady on breakfast duty needs to get her money back from the School of Charm." (99974404)
Good location between centre and airport
It was a bit tired, very 1980's.

"Thought the hotel would be of a much higher standard considering the AA and RAC ratings. The bedroom was small and did not have a separate seated area. Although I had booked into the hotel on line we were actually staying in the guest house part which is joined to the hotel - not clear on the booking. Never before have I stayed in an hotel and been able to hear the doorbell whenever anyone wanted in - whatever time of the day or night. One night someone rang the door bell for ages about 5.00 am and was eventually let in, this happened again about 7.00 am and 8.00 am. Very disappointed with the cooked breakfast, one slice of bacon and one sausage with baked beans, a tomato and potato. Once you had stated for one day what you would like for breakfast this was assumed to be what you would want all the time - I had quite fancied the opportunity to have an omelette the second morning but was not given the option." (99367551)
The fact that it was fairly close to Murrayfield which was the reason for going to Edinburgh.
The room was described as a luxury double room but was not big, just enough room to walk round the bed. The ensuite bathroom was far too small - you could hardly sit on the toilet due to the closeness of the wash hand basin!

"The large room included a very comfortable 4 poster bed and 3 single beds for the kids with on-suite shower room. a small television and tea and coffee making facilities are provided. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Finally don't miss the cooked breakfast as who doesn't want smiley faces first thing in the morning." (2994442)

"The hotel was great to stay in, very well furnished with a good cooked breakfast in the morning. It may be a sign of my immaturity as a person, but I found the 'potato smiles' endlessly ammusing. The rooms were clean, and the staff were polite and cheery. 'Do not disturb' signs for the doors may have been helpful for residents not wishing to run out the door straight after breakfast, but otherwise, a fabulous time was had by all." (2547751)
Close to major bus route into Edinburgh, it was easy to get back and forth day or night.

"The hotel was situated on the main road into Edinburgh was very handy for local bus route into town which was very reasonably priced and frequent. The hotel itself was very quiet." (1954827)
It was close to city centre and had an excellent bus service to save taking the car.

The shower wasn't powerful enough and took around 5 minutes to heat up to give you two heat settings; cold or scolding. Also room itself was cold on occassions.

"La Calidad de Hotel con respecto a su precio es bajisima, la atención prácticamente no existe, el desayuno es de pesima calidad, la distancia al centro es considerable, si bien tiene tres lineas de autobuses y esta cerca del aeropuerto (5 Km), no lo recomiendo en absoluto." (3305104797)
EL DESAYUNO DE MUY MALA CALIDAD CON TURNOS ENTRE LOS CLIENTES POR FALTA DE ESPACIO, ATENCION NULA NO HAY RECEPCION, LAS INSTALACIONES SON MUY ANTIGUAS, HABIA QUE ESPERAR 30 MINUTOS PARA TENER AGUA CALIENTE Y POR ULTIMO LA RELACION CALIDAD/PRECIO DEL 1 AL 10 UN 1
RENOVACION TOTAL DE INSTALACIONES Y DECORACION

"The room was expensive - this may have been special pricing for the Edinburgh festival. I would happily pay 60 to 80 pounds for a room of this quality, but not 120." (108070593)
Good location halfway between Edinburgh airport and city centre. The room was quite comfortable.
Some items in room were broken - they worked, but were difficult to use (e.g., shower, coffee maker).
