Staff was very polite.
When checked in, took card for some reason charged us £52.00, not £47.00. Only noticed when I got home, and looked a receipt, He never told me he was adding anything on.

"Very positive, would consider using again if/when I return to Blackpool." (108013925)
Very friendly and helpful staff, amazing food, comfortable bed, no hassle, no noise, very close proximity to main promenade and public transport facilities
Room was a bit small but that wasn't really a problem as we were only using it to sleep in and keep our stuff while we were out.

Room was warm, everything worked ok, beds were comfy and I didn't have to ask for extra pillows.

"Overall, we were very pleased with our stay, it was really good value for money. Our rooms were clean and well presented and the atmosphere was friendly. Our children were also made to feel very welcome and were quite sad to have to leave!" (97740143)
The accommodation was clean and well presented, and we were made to feel welcome. We were also very well fed.
We found the term 'on site parking' a little misleading, we asumed this to be a carpark. However it was not a huge problem as we were able to park nearby.

The owners made our stay in blackpool very welcoming and we are sure that we would use this hotel again" (3305423565)

"Each room on the website had a list of facilities, most of which did not exist. We questioned this, and the host blamed the website. However, I note that hosts have full control over the information displayed, and it now appears to have been changed. It had a bar, which was never open. The website also said you could have an evening meal, but there was no evidence of this." (3305422540)

"The hotel was a pleasant place to stay, we were welcomed warmly on arrival and shown to our room. The room was small, although functional. I did not like the lack of proper toilet roll instead of being reminded of high school substitutes. If you dislike dogs and cats then this is not the place for you. The cat roams the hotel including the dining area freely resulting in a faint smell of animals in the lobby. However on reflection there were no real problems and was value for money." (3305442648)

Lack of proper toilet roll, smallness of the room.

"The hotel is near to the North beach but all the attractions are accessible by tram or bus (a bit far too walk!) The rooms we had are adequate for a short stay but too small if you were planning to stay longer. There may be larger rooms, I don't know. Chris stated that there are plans to re-furbish parts of the hotel and some of the decor is a little dated. The hotel is very clean and the breakfast nice and plenty of it. We didn't eat meat but this was no problem for them. w were given extra eggs and hash browns and even offered to get vegtarian sausages. Breakfast is from 8 - 9am and we could have done with a lie in so extending it to 10 would have been great. Near to the hotel is the Uncle Tom Cabin's pub which had entertainment and food, as well as the Gynn family pub near to the beach which is also adequate for food, if not a little noisy (2 karaokes going on at the same time!). All in all I would recommend this hotel for short stays and would definately use it again (as long as Chris & Steve are still the owners)." (3304386143)
The friendliness of the Chris and Steve was second to none. We were made to feel very welcome. The accomodation was in a quieter part of Blackpool which we liked. Chris couldn't do enough for us at breakfast accomodating all our likes and dislikes. He was always cracking a joke!!!
The rooms we had were very small, and the decor and furnishings dated but clean. The times for breakfast could have been a little longer.

The friendly welcome and the accessible location
The rooms were quite small, no clothes hangers in the wardrobe and the towel rail came off the bedroom door, it had only recently been fitted.

"I was expected on arrival. At £45, probably at the upper end of the price range, but I required a single night's accommodation in a holiday town at short notice in the political party conference season. In return I was given a good and comfortable room, free of disturbance; clean and with a good standard of fresh-looking decoration and furnishing; everything worked. The hotel was staffed by the two proprietors, who were friendly and informative, and generally helpful in manner and in what they did and provided, including a good breakfast. I only found on checking out that their facility for payment by credit card was temporarily suspended, so cash payment was needed; but this minor consideration would not discourage me from seeking accommodation at the hotel again, if I need another overnight stay in Blackpool. I left next morning feeling well content." (2766350)
Room and facilities were good, and the proprietors welcoming, friendly and helpful.
I was only there for a one-night stay, and found no grounds for criticism of what was provided for me while I was there.
