"Great location and rooms nicely decorated but small. Double room okay for single occupancy but tight for two. Internet never works in the rooms (but you get Wi-fi in the (tiny) lobby. This is a 100% non-smoking hotel, incl. in all the rooms." (97670260)
Great location, especially for night life (theaters, restaurants). Room nicely decorated (but small ! )
Several stays in this hotel and internet NEVER works in the rooms. Staff was helpful but seems to be or recurrent or permanent problem which Management or owner doesnt' care about it ! Cost of breakfast.

"Hotel was good value for money and perfectly postioned within theatre land and close to piccadilly circus tube station. Room was comfortable, modern and contained all that you need for a short stay. Size of the room was just right for one person but it would have been a bit of squeeze for two. Television within bathroom wall was a quality touch but unfortuunately mine did not work." (97716835)
excellent postion for surrounding attractions

"Having stayed at other Best Western hotels, like the one in Edinburgh, this wasn't a patch on that experience." (99405454)
It was quite a nice and clean hotel - comfortable room, quite large. Its location is good, although not for where I wanted to be. Good shower.
The internet connection in the room wasn't working. Complimentary water wasn't where I was expecting it. Some staff very friendly, some quite unemotional and almost unfriendly. I guess it was a typical London hotel. Having stayed at other Best Western hotels, like the one in Edinburgh, this wasn't a patch on that experience.

I had reserved two rooms for two nights - four night total. They only had one room for us. We had to share and fight to get fair rate. No manager on site. No none who could take decisions...They were making us feel like if they were makinf us a favor for not charging us for two rooms....hello...we only had one room, why should we pay for two?!!!!

"Location was good for the theatre district. Staff were not attentive to our needs and were miserable! Check in/out was slow and I was asked if I had paid yet! Staff did not smile at all. The in room facilities were below expectations. Small bathroom, windows did not shut out enough sound, no hot water. Difficult to find from the outside as the signage was small/not obvious." (99221651)
Modern looking
Staff were miserable and unattentive. No hot water. Windows let far too much noise through for a London hotel. Room, including bathroom, was too small for the price paid.

"The hotel is very central but has no atmosphere. Staff were ok but not best helpful when we arrived early and asked about early chek in. When we got in the room it was tiny with just enough room to get round the bed. Three long black hairs in the bath, not ours apart from that seemed clean." (97400578)

"As above, on future stays, I would certainly request a middle/back room because of the noise levels of the street below." (3304321681)
The decor was very modern and up to date. The fruit bowl and refreshments on arrival to the room was excellent. The breakfast the following day was very adequate and enjoyable.
I had been placed in one of the front rooms overlooking Shaftesbury Avenue and unfortunately this proved extremely noisy for most of the night, including buses stopping at the bus stop directly outside and rubbish collection trucks tipping recycled glass bottles into the back of their wagons on numerous occasions. Also, the hotel was rather too hot temperature wise and due to the noise of traffic outside, I was unable to leave a window open.

"This hotel is so conveniently positioned. It is right in the heart of theatre land and only a few minutes walk to Leicester Square, Regents Street etc. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone coming by train the stations are close by and therefore making access easy rather than you have to walk for ages with your luggage. The rooms are very clean and spacious" (3304083732)

"The hotel was extremey over-priced for the quality on offer. The check-in was extremely slow. One member of staff on the desk, who spent more time talking to other staff on the 'phone than dealing with a queue of customers. She showed no empathy or interest in her quests - we were in the way. The process took some 15 minutes, and there was only 1 other quest in front of me. The room (105) was next to the restuarnt down the road, and you could hear all the clatter going on - not something I'd expect for £239 for one night. the mini bar was a small firdge with noting in - other than water, and was not even cold. The room was small and airless. whilst it was clean, the carpets were clearly old and in need of replacement. Overall you are not even coming close to meeting customer expectations with the price tag. Dreadful value for money" (3304951788)

"Room - reasonable size but none of the electronic remote controls worked. Bathroom minute (no bath) which for £175 per night is not value for money. As might be expected extremely noisy until around 3.00 a.m. (started raining!) but that is the drawback of the excellent location. Not up to Best Western standards generally." (3304129845)

"I could not believe there was no window in my room or bathroom. The room was not much larger than the double bed! It felt very claustrophobic. The air conditioning didn't work properly which you definitely need if you have no window. I had it on the lowest setting 16c and it still felt like an oven. Furniture and linen etc was very nice but wouldn't stop there again in case I got a room with no window again!" (3304105108)

"Excellent position, only five minutes from a tube station and about the same distance to excellent shopping: Carnaby and Regents Street and Oxford Street. Endl;ess choice of restaurants and bistros, catering for all tastes from all corners of the earth. As soon as you enter the hotel, you get an excellent impression immediatley, with it's modern airy feel. Staff very friendly and I'm sure would have bent over backwards to help with any problems, but we didn't have any. Room was luxurious, fresh fruit and flowers being placed in the room prior to our arrival. Breakfast was excellent, will a full choice available. I saw the gym, which was well stocked with modern equipment, but after the amount I had for breakfast, it wasn't a good idea. I will be using again and would highl;y recommebd this hotel to anyone who likes their hotel to be of a high standard and a reasonable price." (3304461530)
Choosing the romantic package to add to our weekend, the site of the four poster bed really set the mood for the trip. Excellent room, even down the tv in the bathroom. Bed was so comfortable we didn't want to leave. I will be using the hotel again.
Everything was above my expectations

"My room was facing the main road. Ofcourse that meant non-stop traffic noise throughout the night. This made sleeping difficult. Aircondition in the room was not working properly which made the room very hot at night. So it was not comfortable for myself and my daughter. There was a lot of noise from the next room during very early hours of the morning. Breakfast should be inclusive of the price." (2654944)
Hotel is fairly central to many underground lines. So moving round in London was easy.
Could maintain a non-smoking policy in the room.My room was filled with smoke from the adjacent room, which was escaping through the bathroom ventilator.

"I previously stayed here in April 05. My main reasons for choosing this hotel is for its proximity to the theatre district. The staff tries to accomodate, but fails. The North american adaptor in my room was not functional and had to wait 30+ minutes for a replacement that did not work. the staff could not tell me where to purchase a tourist power adaptor, nor did they have one available. for the location, this place is great - 99 pounds was fair, compared to other hotels ... if you're a single traveler, this place is fine." proximity to theatre district and free wi-fi internet
concierge called me an off-license cab that got me lost and overcharged - not impressed
