    "We have stayed at the hotel previosly and found it to be excellent, however we were less than impressed with the check in proecedure. We did arrive 1.00, which I appreciate was too early and were rightly told that our room wasn't available, but would be ready at 2.00. So we went to the bar to have something to eat. At 2.20 we then returned to reception, only to be told that our room would not be ready for a futher 30 mins. We therefore had to return to the bar, but as there was a football game on a 5.15, our seats had been taken so we had to stand. We returned at 3.00, at which time we were told our romm was ready, without so much as an apology. the saving grace was the fact that the room was excellent and we were eating out." (97545324)

    "Very nice hotel, nice decor and very clean and tidy. The staff were very helpful upon arrival and also when we had trouble getting into our room. Very nice hotel only problem was the room size." (97460655)

    Very clean and tidy. Staff were always helpful. Food was nice.

    Size of room- wasn't very big for two people to be staying in which then made it very hot.

    Very clean. Staff at reception friendly. Good breakfast.

    We found that the price of the room - £95 was excessive. For that price there were things that were lacking - non air confiditoning, no fridge, not enough choice for sattelite tv. We could have stayed somewhere for half the price with those facilites. Also hardly any toiletries.

    "The receptionist was polite on our arrival and our stay most enjoyable .My partner was 40yrs old and i had booked the over night stay as a suprize and the hotel staff upgraded us from a standard room to one of the penthouse suites which was really nice and a lovely thought on thier behalf.My only critisism would be the cost of alcholic beverages which were extremely expensive.On the whole our stay at the hotel was most enjoyable and would love to visit again."     came for football so was convenient

    we were given a disabled room which looked onto the staircase so people could see in - it was very dark and dreary and one of the lights wasn't working

    "We had special football match tickets and thought we would stay at the hotel. An advanced booking - the price was very reasonable for the standard and included the hearty breakfast buffet. It was a clean and smart hotel with staff that were professional and helpful (no fake smiles made a nice change!) We spent an hour in the leisure club and the pool and sauna were great. I'd read complaints about the brasserie, but I enjoyed my fillet steak. No real complaints here and we'd like to come back." (97107020)

    Professional and helpful staff - very impressed! Nicely furnished room and great value at the price we got.

    Surprised that there was no shampoo amongst toiletries.

    Fantastic venue

    I stayed at this hotel 4 weeks ago and the food in the restaurant was 1st class, this time however I was disappointed, different chef maybe!

    First impressions very good, looked very modern next to the Reebok stadium.Very friendly staff and good value for money.

    Nothing to dislike except lifts could be a problem if you don't like heights.

    "Overall a good hotel however if you want to visit the Premier function suite for an event when you are staying you have to walk outside. Okay in a balmy summers evening, not so good when your partner has a posh frock on and its raining heavily. Service at breakfast could be better at peak times we finished our breakfast and still could not get any coffee." (97662794)

    Easy to find and park. Large hotel with lots of facilities

    The room we had room 101 was next to the kitchen so there was lots of noise late on and early in the morning. Breakfast finishes at 10am on a Sunday which is a bit early. Check out is 11am which seems a little early.

    Rooms were very clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Parking no problem. Good choice of breakfast.

    "That football suporters take preference over the guests Security staff are incredibly rude Overall the hotel does not live up to its four star rating in any way Our room did not have air conditioning.     Our room overlooked the football pitch and was spectacular. It also wasm the quietest room we have ever stayed in. So this plus the fantastically comfortable bed made it for both of us.

    Being nit picking: Lack of a light at the bathroom end of the room, and the fact that it was impossible as a 5'-7 individual to put a coat hanger into the wardrobe. Not everbody is over 6'tall.

    Warm and clean

    Slightly difficult to get in to. I could see where I needed to get to but didn't make the right turn. Also, lots of children 'running' around.

    "It was easy to find just off the motorway but close to Bolton town centre which is good for shopping. The hotel was spacious, had a choice of restaurants, drinks in the bar were a bit expensive i.e. £6 for a glass of wine. The health club was very nice and the staff were all extremely helpful."
