"Is it quiet and conducive to a restful nights sleep prior to an early flight? Is it clean and secure feeling?" (97184576)
small and warm Plenty of hot water beverage making facilities in room close to airport
a little scruffy in parts.A bit of a mish mash of furniture and net curtains but was comfortable! Very noisy as the private accommodation in the adjoining room had TV/radio on all night which travelled through the gaps around the doorway behind the wardrobe!I was due to be up early for a flight! Not ideal. The room strangely had a view into what appeared to be a private sun-lounge and the wardrobe covered another door! A little like being put-up at grannies!!!!The bed was very comfy but I have an almighty bruise as there were awful wooden projections at the foot of the bed which were only noticed after you walked into them !!

"To know that there is no possibibility to have anything to eat before 7.30, other hotels provide a tray the evening before." (97176989)
The picture of the outside of the building looked good, nice house, garden etc
Inside it was a little rundown, and the room was very small for 2 people. not possible to have breakfast before 7.30

The staff were extremley welcoming and helpful.
The room we stayed in had two windows that looked into the conservatory where people could eat breakfast.

There was shower over the bath but no shower curtain so we were unable to have a shower.

"Our stay was a worth while experience. Our room was very cosy. Allbeit the wallpaper was not modern. The building was steeped in history, with reminderds of a bygone era. The staff were very kind. The food was more than adequate. Would we stay there Again? Yes!!!" (99870753)
the hotel was more than we expected, friendly& well appointed

"Comfortable hotel near to restaurants, pubs, shops, railway and airport. Plenty of information in the hotel and friendly staff. Unable to comment on breakfasts because of early morning departure." (2736037)
Friendly welcome, comfortable room, easy access to Edinburgh Airport.
Easier access to hotel door for elderly, handicapped or people with heavy luggage.

"Had a lovely stay at the Corsterphine House, room was pleasant, facilities good, and breakfast most enjoyable. The buses ran to town centre and airport every ten minutes which made travelling around easy especially as we didn't have our car. There is plenty of local places to eat and drink all in all a great time was had by all and will definitely be going back" (2579193)
Nice clean and tidy hotel room, if you want a bed for the night then this is the place.

"Prior to booking I would liked to have known if the family room that I was booking was suitable to have a cot in, if not it would have been nice to know beforehand to allow other arrangements to be made. Also I believe that when a request for a cot is made this is a necessity and not a nice to have." (1843234)
Rooms were kept very clean and tidy
The shower in our room (Room 1 in the lodge) lacked power and heat, also the family room that we booked and requested a cot for was not big enough to erect a cot in. We therefore had to pay extra to upgrade our room to one in which we could fit the cot. The cooked breakfast was described as substantial but consisted of one sausage one bacon one egg one hash brown one smiley face and a small amount of beans.

"The stay was very pleasant and we enjoyed Edinburgh. The Guest house was impressive from the outside but not really anything special inside. The room was adequate but small especially the shower. We didn't dislike the Guest house but feel it was not what we had hoped for." (2391108)
The outside of the guest house was very smart and impressive. The breakfast was very good and the conservatory was very nice. All the staff and owners were pleasant.

"That there was very little 'flexibility' ie on the Monday morning breakfast could not be served before 7.15am - we had to be at the airport by 7.30am ideally. We found the whole experience 'odd' staying in what seemed more like the family home - like we were the only people there in the actual guest house plus the whole place smelt of curry! It wasn't a horrible experience or anything just very ordinary, the room was clean though very small for three adults." (2169584)
Good location
Providing a 'Scottish' breakfast as stated in online information. Ease of access on arrival - it was very difficult to find anyone.

"The staff were friendly and helpful, our room was a reasonable size, and the cleanliness was excellent. Breakfast was fine, plenty to choose from. Considering this is a 3 star hotel, overall, it was great value for money. We came from the airport using the Airport shuttle bus (£3 single). The hotel was located within 30 seconds of the Corstophine stop - very handy (although a taxi would've only been £7-8). The hotel is about a 15 mins from the city centre on the bus. There are bus stops near by so the distance was no trouble, plus you can get a day saver for £2.30. (Buses only accept exact change! Don't get caught out like we did!)" (2276295)
Helpful staff, clean, good value for money.
Double glazing would be nice as it faces a main road - but the noise was fine. We had no trouble sleeping.

"The lack of facilities in the hotel was a disapointment. A lounge or such would have been pleasant to avoid having to stay in our room after we came back from having an evening meal. The staff were very helpful. The dining area was clean and very pleasant." (2053750)
The staff were very helpful once we sorted out the booking.

We booked the one night stay at very short notice and arrived late. Owner was courteous and welcoming. Accommodation very adequate for three adults. It was very good value for money.

"Would have liked breakfast a bit later and for the times to be mentioned when booking. Would have liked a buffet breakfast. We had to mention each morning that no eggs were required on the breakfast even though it was noted down when we checked in. Would have liked a bar at the hotel and a telephone and/or modem point in the room. Local bus stops ideally placed from the hotel so you dont necessarily have to use the car." (1261163)
Comfortable beds and good facilities and car parking
Breakfast served too early particularly at weekend and would like a bar

"We weren't told about the bus system before arrival but figured it out with relative ease once we arrived. May have helped to know beforehand. I did e-mail to ask but received no reply. It was a bit inconvenient having to change rooms on the second day but once we were settled everything was fine. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience." (1290562)

"I was disappointed that the price for the stay had been inflated due to the international rugby match, coupled with the fact you had to book 2 nights, made the whole stay very expensive for what the hotel actually was. I feel the inflated price paid per night would have been more realistic for the whole stay. Based on this the value for money, hotel ammenities, room decor etc was very disappointing." (97737760)
Local to event attending
Rooms seemed very dated
