It was in a good location, the room was clean, and the man in charge who met me at the door was friendly.
The room was very cold, i found the hotel hard to find, the room could have been bigger.

"We had a wonderful 3 days at the Letchworth Hotel, we had no complaints about our accomodation, each morning we were welcomed by the owners. Our breakfast each morning was to die for,and after one of their breakfasts you would notneed to eat until at least the eveing. My wife and i would certainly recommend The Letchworth Hotel to anyone." (99851814)
Our room was beauitfully decorated and very comfortable with a sea view as requested.

"A business social event was the reason for travelling to Weymouth. Deciding to stay overnight was my last minute decision and so I found this website extremley good in processing the last minute booking, as late as 10.30pm the night before I think it was! I had booked a late arrival, around 8pm, and there really wasn't anything to the check in process which was great. I was greeted at the door, shown to my room and as I'd paid on line that seemed adequate. The room was very clean and comfortable and good value for money. A very short and quick stay but very pleasant." (99982260)

"Although only a short break we packed a lot into our time with a visit to Dorchester, Seaton,Beer and Lyme Regis during our 2 nights stay and Durdle Door and Poole on our homeward jouney. Our stay was made even better by the first class accomodation and friendliness of the staff." (99754916)
After a fairly last minute decision to go to Weymouth for a short break I booked the accomodation on the internet and was pleasantly surprised at the welcome we received on our arrival.Unfortunately due to commitments back home we only stayed 2 nights but hope to return later in the year.

"For a short stay this hotel offered clean, comfortable accommodation in a good location. Although there were set breakfast times the owners were very flexible in trying to accommodate our specific needs... providing a cooked breakfast 2 hours early!" (3304582447)
Good location. Clean and comfortable rooms.
Although parking was provided there was a high risk of being blocked in by other guests.

"This establishment was very clean, well furnished with all equipment required. Breakfast was spot on and filling. Parking at my time of stay (March 2006) was fine as the car park was half full but I imagine at peak times there needs to be shuffling of vehicles to allow people out-there were six spaces. Staff were polite and helpful and local attraction leaflets were provided and clearly displayed." (3304307046)
Contemporary furnishings and cleanliness, it all suggested a professionally run establishment.
Parking, but options for improvement would be limited as far as I could see.

"Increase water preasure to shower. Although I was leaving early in the morning (5.30am, tea & coffee facilities + continental option could have been made available in the breakfast area, although I was advised to use tea & coffee in the room. I don't normally eat in one room & drink coffee or tea in another! This was not an exception, as their was more than me leaving early that day!). This is often where some guest houses fall down, especailly where you are in a resort where the boat leaving port, or your travel arrangements require an early start. This was also stated at the booking period. Overall though, ok Mike" (3304397381)
bed
Shower could be better, no instructions on how to use it properly (pull switch had to be activated first to use shower, but this was not clear or shown, plus water preasure was not very good)

"well run and very friendly, the only problem might be the limited car parking area at the rear of the hotel, but off-peak this was not a problem for us. also i suppose the room was a little small but, again, for a stopover this was simply not a problem. we would return without hesitation." "Yes, I would book again. We very much enjoyed our visit. Helpful people. Pleasant comfortable room - en suite. Tea/coffee tray welcome. (Maybe a coujple of sachets of hot chocolate/Horlicks could be provided?) Traffic noise heavy from early a.m. (O.K. on Saturday). Good situation in quiet end of town, with sea view. No problem with parking at the back, but could be if all spaces were taken up." (3304101433)
Good size, plenty of storage space, clean en suite, comfortable bed. Generous breakfast.
Shower not very effective: low pressure, water temperature fell at the end of not very long showers.

"The only thing is the parking, the car park at the rear of the hotel is very narrow and if you are first in you have to wait for two cars to move before you can exit, due to the arrangement. Given the layout, there is no other solution. The guesthouse stafff were helpfull with the situation tho." (1493762)

"In general our syay was very pleasant. Staff were helpful without being intrusive. I could envisage parking being a problem had the hotel been full with car owners, but I had no problem as it was." (2797953)
The bed was clean and comfortable, as were the rest of the facilities. Breakfast was served promptly and hot and an early breakfast was available on request.
Road traffic noise was a problem, perhaps double glazing would help.

It had a hairdrier, tea making facilities and best of all an iron and ironing board in the room. It is close to all amenities and has lots of helpful booklets about what to do and where to go whilst in weymouth." (1497795)
