Excellent for my wife and myself. Facilities were of a high standard and staff were very accommodating

The room next to my daughter and young granddaughter housed a couple who argued for much of the night. Result very poor sleep for daughter

"This is the third time we have stayed and we are coming back in two weeks. Definately recommended." (97165289)

    Friendly, clean and economical

Only negative was lack of staff on duty in restaurant and although staff were very helpful and friendly they had to deal with complaints about the service. Not their fault.

It served our purpose for collecting someone from the airport and was very convenient

The bath is extremely dangerous, slip mats are available at reception but should be in every bath as my wife slipped when having a shower and was lucky to come away with only bruises on her arm and back.

Room was obviously updated, very clean and well prepared;breakfast arrangements and the buffet were excellent. All staff that we encountered were most helpful and polite.

Unfortunately we arrived at the same time as many others, most of whom seemed to have check in problems. When eventually our turn arrived, the receptionist was exceedingly apologetic and most charming and dealt with our on line booking very quickly.

"The IBIS Heathrow is a budget-conscious super convenient property right on the ring road. It is very clean, very quiet, and spartan. The cafe operates 24 x 7 providing a limited menu and freshly brewed coffee (a basic human need!) The international staff is extremely helpful, even offering directions to the free bus service to Termainal 1,2,3. You can take the Hoppa-bus for 4 pound which runs every 30 minutes or walk 2 blocks and take the free TfL bus which runs every 3 minutes and lets you off 100 feet closer to the door. Sometimes you do get what you don't pay for! It is SO WORTH IT to arrive at Heathrow 4 refteshed and unharried by traffic to make that morning flight home to Houston. Try IBIS, you'll like it, too." (97353557)

We found the Ibis Heathrow to be clean, QUIET (important for an airport hotel) and reasonably priced. The international staff went out of their way to be helpful. The small, low-frills rooms had comfortable beds with crisp sheets and effective blasck-out curtains. What more could you ask for a stop-over.

The differences between the offerings and prices between the bar and the cafeteria-style restaruant were confusing and not clearly explained. It could be that my mind was a bit foggy after midnight, too.

"The hotel satisfied my requirements and was ideal as far as access to the hotel and transit to Heathrow and I considered it a fair price. I thought the evening buffet selection a little disappointing and over price for what was on offer I over heard another guest making comment by the sounds of things she used the hotel often. Maybe I caught you on a bad night as far as the restaurant was concerned.I would certainly use you again next time I use Heathrow however I may eat away from the hotel." (97117774)

  • 9/10 Keith (Mature couple)

from Newcastle , AU on  May 16, 2008

"Only there for 12 hours but quite adequate for our needs. The only problem was the Hoppa bus from the airport. The 5.54pm bus did not turn up, so we were waiting almost an hour for a bus. The morning bus was on time." (97625041)

Clean Comfortable quiet. Near to the airport.

The restaurant instructions were not quite clear that the a la carte menu was only available in the bar area

"The staff on reception were not very informed on how to treat a person in a wheelchair. I had to ask for something to lean on whilst filling out the accomodation form. I was then given my room number but no one offered to carry my bag for me so therefore struggled in the lift alone." (97118846)

It was very basic and not at all suitable for a wheelchair user as very little room to move around. I could not get in or out of the bath. A wet floor shower would have been more useful in this type of room.

"For basic convenient over-night in-transit stay at reasonable rates, this hotel is fine. They could improve facilities a bit, like having hair dryers in the bathrooms, for example. We felt that all of the facilities (room, bathroom and restaurant) would not be what we would want for a longer stay. We would recommennd it for short=term stay with qualifiers." (97949949)

I expected a larger room for £72 and I think for that price breakfast should be included." (97668265)

Conveniently close to the airport with regular bus service

Very noisy hotel. Activities will start 5am and reverberate through the construction. I suspect because it is so close to the airport, early flights make for these early activity.

The Ibis hotel at Euston where I stayed 5 nights was so much better. How can this be and not at each hotel." (97543427)

Close proximitely to airport and the shuttle

When we arrived at about 8 p.m., the buffet food was very tired looking, greasy and poorly dispalyed. A couple of items a la carte were off. Overall, the whole place looked seedy and not very comforting or appealing after a long flight.

"I chose the Ibis because my husband and I have had generally good experiences with Ibis hotels in other parts of the world. We enjoyed our stay at the Ibis in Prague in 2005. Unfortunately, the staff at the reception (Ibis Heathrow) at time of check-out on Tue, 27 Nov 07(am) behaved as if I owed her a living - sour-faced and unpleasant; also unhelpful. This is certainly not what one would expect from frontline staff especially in the hotel industry." (97597010)

Conveniently located within 2 - 3 km from Heathrow, easy access via Hoppa Bus.

The water in the bathtub could not drain and my feet and legs were soaking in the cold water throughout my shower.
