"The hotel is well placed for walking into the tourist area of Canterbury. The swimming pool and restaurant are excellent for any hotel let alone a small one. In all the facilities and ambiance make it an ideal base if you are staying in Canterbury for leisure or business." (97229310)
The swimming pool facility and restaurant are both excellent. They make the stay very relaxing.

"See above." (97185990)
The pool, the massive cooked breakfast, the lounge in the evenings was lovely, Charlie the dog and the fire in the entrance porch.
One of the waiters was a bit grumpy! Bad day maybe? Also, I would have liked to have seen more of Charlie.

"The hotel was lovely and welcoming although the radiators in our room were turned off on our arrival and because of the lovely large sash windows and high ceilings it took a while to warm the room. All in all a good stay. If you are not going to arrive until later praps its a good idea to ask for the radiators to be put on low. Thank you Ebury staff." (97330846)

"A nice hotel with friendly and amenable staff. Would recommend. " (97489426)
This hotel is a family affair and it shows with their attentive handling of any requests and general welcoming nature. The rooms are slightly dated in appearance but the hotel lobby is excellent.

"we had a pleasant stay" (97901834)
spacious accomadation
I didnt like the finger prints on the wardrobe, the dust at the back of the tv and the cigarette butts on the roof of the bay window outside my bedroom window, these were things that probably were not noticed without the hotel being informed but once I mentioned them a note was taken and im sure that they have all been dealt with

"Room needed to be up-dated slightly. This could be done and still maintain character. The single bed I found uncomfortable - too soft. Cleanliness could not be faulted and the towels were lovely !! (Nice and thick)." (99272935)

Excellent converted victorian house retaining sense of its original domestic use while functioning adequately as a modern hotel. Nice mature garden with small indoor swimming pool.Lovely breakfast served promptly and the dining room is adjoined by a beautiful sitting room available to guests, which is well furnished and retains a victiorian feel. High quality shower in reasonably spacious room.
Put on top floor when several lower floor rooms were available, creaky floor boards in room, not sure where fire escape was? Seemed to be down second set of main stairs?

Comfortable
You shdn't forget to charge for (extra) meals consumed! Actually I found the bath/shower in Rm 10 a bit awkward. I cd have done with a shower curtain and somewhere on the wall to hold the shower when rinsing off.

"wi-fi was 3 pounds an hour, or 5 pounds a day, and I thought it was free. They should write on the web that it is not for free." (97507769)
Nice service, cute dog, pretty fire place, good breakfast, fun pool, nice shower with a bath tab.
room was a little old looking compared to the pics on the web. Air in room was a little dusty.
