"This was a good find, very close to both Victoria Coach and Train stations. The train station has a small shopping and food area inside which is handy if you don't want to go too far for a meal. Good central area, handy for tourists wanting to see the sights. Both the 2 main open top bus tours have stops very close. Staff were all friendly and hotel was clean in all the areas we were in." Convenient location
Our room had the lift going through it and it was noisy.

"We were, on the whole, very happy with our stay at this hotel. It met all of our requirements and the staff were always friendly, helpful and easily approachable. We would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone else in the future." (99397288)
We liked the room and especially the balcony. The staff were friendly and helpful with all our questions. The morning breakfast had great choice and was excellent.
There was a lack of hot water if you tried to have a shower after 7:30 in the morning. I understand that there were problems with the hot water and that it was being fixed but this happened during most of the 8 days that we were staying there.

"The hotel was situated within easy walking distance to the tube, theatres and centre of london. The accommodation was comfortable and clean and the staff were very friendly. We felt it was good value for money and we would certainly stay there again. The only thing I would like to have known before booking was the possible choice of outlook from our room as we were on the ground floor looking onto brick walls. Overall very good though." "I was very pleased with the location, accessible to multiple transportation needs, in a clean and attractive neighborhood, and within easy reach of great restaurants. The check-in staff were very nice, and the full English breakfast was excellent and set in a very pretty room. The hotel needs to work on securing better cleaning staff. There were dirty clothes stuffed behind the pillows on one of the beds when we arrived, and they seemed incapable of replacing towels, regardless of how many times we asked for them and placed them in a pile on the floor. Finally, there is only one plug for the t.v, hair dryer, and tea maker ... rather absurd. The hotel is a little pricey, given the size of the rooms and the bathroom facilities; but I would probably stay there again anyways for its other advantages. I would be a little more assertive about room service, however." (99277479)
The location is excellent; it is near Victoria Station, bus depot, and tour excursion booking location. There are excellent restaurants within very easy walking distance. Finally, the breakfast was very generous.
The room service was extremely bad. There were dirtty clothes behind one of the pillows on the bed, and the maid never gave us fresh towells, in spite of the fact that we put them in a pile on the floor, and repeatedly requested fresh ones. One day she left a wet, dirty towel on our pillows.

"I would rank this hotel near the top of all hotels I have stayed at in London. It is clean, well-decorated and conveniently located. A full breakfast was included and was well prepared and served. The front desk was staffed 24 hours/day which was especially helpful for the insomniac in our party. Our stay there was thoroughly enjoyable." (97879750)

The staff was extremely helpful and attentive. They were friendly and made the stay a positive experience for the whole family. Use of the park was invaluable for a family with energetic children.
The room had some lapsed maintenance such as broken tiles in the bath, a lamp that didn't work, a torn seam in the carpet, and lack of consistent hot water during peak use times. It was, however, incredibly clean.

"On arrival, the hotel is very clean and tidy. Expect a pleasant freshly cooked breakfast, plus cereals. The location is quieter than some hotels in the area but with no double glazing, traffic noise and planes on the Heathrow flight path can be heard. My single room was tiny with intrusive noise from the rooms nearby (squeeky floorboards). OK for one night." (99763996)
Reception, breakfast room and stariways clean and newly carpeted. Good breakfast. For the area, fairly quiet - but expect aircraft and traffic noise.
Very small room and a thin wall between next door. Footsteps heard late at night. OK for one night.

"We stayed in one of the 2 bedroom apartments which we found extremely useful as we have an 18 year old daughter and comparatively reasonably priced for London. The apartment was sadly very dowdy and in desperate need of a facelift, poor lighting with burnt lampshades and dead bulbs. Redecoration, new carpet and curtains desperately needed. We arrived on one of the coldest nights for some time and the rooms were freezing due to the heating not working, all staff attempts to correct the heating failed but the situation was dealt with quite quickly with the introduction of electric heaters. The english breakfast was a pathetic showing and overcooked. On the whole a very dissapointing experience, especially as this hotel has such great potential and the apartments make an ideal solution for families with older children. If you can live with the drab room conditions and are prepared for some housekeeping problems which you may need to sort out, the apartments are still relatively good value considering you have 2 bedrooms, sitting room, kitchen and bathroom for your exclusive use." (99760999)
Convenient location. Quiet.
Decoration of accommodation. Poor maintenance. Lack of heating in room.

"Overall the stay was not to bad apart from the issues raised above. The staff I encountered were polite friendly and helpful. Generally the room was clean and in good order. I did however feel that the room was rather crowded with beds for its size and as with a lot of Hotels the decorative order was old and tired. Doors could be quite clearly heard being opened and left to bang shut late into the night. This room being beside the Breakfast room was also subject to quite a lot of noise and foot traffic from early in the morning." (99924748)
Good Kirb Appeal,Polite Receptionist,Clean Bedding,Ample Towels, Soaps and Shampoos etc in the Bathroom, Good Information Pack, Good Clean Bedding, Ample ensuite refreshments.
A double bed plus two singles crammed into a room that should essentially be a Double room only, Hot Water took approximately 20minutes to come through the shower and gave off a foul odour, The English Breakfast was over-cooked. A lot of door slamming late into the night and very early in the morning echos through the room and disturbs your rest. The decor is tired and dated.

The public areas are clean and quite elegant in an understated but thoughtful way The full breakfast is a great start to the day and nicely served. "Staff was very nice, and the location was great. The room was small (as most European hotel rooms are) but adequate and well maintained, and shower had lots of hot water. Breakfast was a good value, too. We arrived by train and walked everywhere, and found the location was excellent for our purposes. My husband appreciated the Internet connection in the lounge area." Location was very convenient, for walking to Westminster, as well as close to Victoria for tube and Gatwick Express.
Like most English hotels, the room was very small. The guest in a nearby room smoked a pipe, which bothered me.

"The lack of direct lift access from some rooms would have been mentioned in the description of the hotel. A few (1-6) steps is not a problem but 10-15 are if hou have bulky/heavy bags." (3305032687)
The room was big enoúgh - not too much furniture - to accomodate the beds (one diuble and one single). Bathroom with a window. No smell of smoke. Room was clean. Many pillows in the beds. The room was not too warm and there was a table fan stored in the closet.
A steep and narrow flight of stairs from 4th floor (where the lift stops) down to room number 11 (and further steps up outside and inside the room). This was not good with heavy and bulky luggage. The fire alarm went on (false) several times on saturday 5th August around 11 am - when we were preparing for a wedding event. We had to go down the stairs and check. There was no bench for bags in the room. You have to place the suitcase directly on the floor.
