"Excellent value for money. Comfortable, quiet and good location" (107139623)

Warm welcome. Very nice room with sitting area. Had booked double room for sole use so plenty of space. Quiet area

Lots of door banging late at night. Generous amount of sockets but several not working. Breakfast adequate but not very interesting

"Apart from the very small room, the hotel was acceptable, and well eqipped and efficient." (97383098)

    Generally clean and efficient.

    The room was really small.

"According to the web site that I booked from it was a 4* hotel - and it was so advertised as an AA 4 Diamond? recommended on the outside of the building. When I remarked on this to the clerk he said that this was from a previous year, and they were actually a 3* hotel as per the Best Western web site. I read the reviews of this hotel before booking and as it was remarked that the rooms were very small, I booked for a double for single occupancy - and still found myself in a shoe box! " (97502978)

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Although there was a control for the Airco in the room - there was no Airco. According to the reception clerk there was a functioning Airco, but they were not allowed to use it as the neighbours complain about the noise it makes. The clerk told me to use the fan that had been provided - but there wasn't one! On request one was found for me - as was the missing remote control for the (minute) television (it was taken from an unoccupied room). I did not have breakfast in the Hotel as whenever I was there the room was full to capacity and I did not have the time to wait for a vacant seat.

Clean, reasonably attractively furnished, good location

Room was far too small: I'm only 5'3' and could barely fit into the ensuite, difficult to get any cold water out of the tap, also almost impossible to fill kettle, bottle etc as the basin was so small

"How can such an hotel get a 4 star rating ?! Having been recently and nicely refurbished, could have been a nice hotel. I booked a double room for single occupancy and even so I couldn't move in it. So, must be impossible for two people ! There should be minimum sizes for decent rooms but the Best Western Corona Hotel just ignores it !" (97347078)

    Hotel newly refurbished, nice decoration

Ridicously tiny room. Tiny bathroom. Tiny lobby area with just 2 minute tables !

It was in a good location and the staff was very helpful.

Nothing much - only that the bathroom was a bit small and the spread on the bed looked like it could do with a wash.

Efficient and clean with great location in Pimlico. Also some nice pubs and restaurants nearby.

Quite noisy (slamming doors and creaky floors from nearby rooms)+ air con didn't work.

"Booked into this hotel as I was running the 2006 London Marathon. I rang the hotel prior to my arrival to check that if I brought my own porridge(energy for the marathon!)they could warm it up in the microwave for 2 mins. They said this would not be a problem, I checked again the night before, the answer was still the same. On the Sunday morning however, a rude member of staff told me this was not possible and there was cereal or toast in the breakfast room instead. In the breakfast room, there was no cold drinks (fresh orange etc.), the milk for the cereal was warm and curdled and the white bread (no brown) was hard... I was not a happy bunny on marathon day morning..." (3304110891)

Poor customer service. Unfriendly/unhelpful staff. Very small basement room and tiny en-suite, very noisy (especially at breakfast time as it was very close to the breakfast room). Only continental breakfast, not Full English breakfast provided.

Clean and comfortable, very nicely laid out for a compact room.

Room was small but okay. Not really a problem. The pillow was not very comfortable though, it was a bit thin. Two pillows would have made it okay.

"I was impressed as I was told that London Hotels are generally grubby and expensive. However, I was delighted by the cleanliness of the rooms and the state of the furnishings. Teh price was also very reasonable. I found the staff, however, sullen and aloof." (99927077)

    Clean and in good order.

    It was a bit small.

"We enjoyed our visit to London (for a day at the Oval test). This enjoyment was in no small measure due to our accommodation. The room was perfectly adequate (bed - en suite etc.)Travel to the event was not a problem and we found the Pizza Express restaurant round the corner in Moreton (?) St. pleasantly superior to our expectation. (We thought wwe were going to have a problem dining locally.)" (3305108331)

Clean - reasonably convenient for event - facilities functionable - helpful staff

Weather conditions made for hoy & stuffy atmosphere - if there was air conditioning, we were unaware of it, but provision of fan was thoughtful in this connection.

It was close to the brixton academy

bigger rooms, sinks you could get your hands in, better room temperature instead of three heaters crammed in the corner, more than just a blanket on the bed when its cold. Better and fresher selection of breakfast.

"only had one breakfast out of three paid for. one reason for this was that the staff could not claer tables fast enough at busy times thus creating queues. i also think that the hotel should review its policy of having uncoverd cooked foods where people are queing, coughing over the food and generally reaching over the buffet this in my opinion is unhighgenic also why was the bar closed?" (2948922)

    nothing

"We only wanted a basic hotel as we were on our way to join the Orient Express the next day from Victoria to Venice, we knew what to expect from the hotel as we did our homework prior to booking, nothing less than what was expected. Our friends room was just as good they had plenty of space, that was the party room. Transport/Taxi from the Hotel to Victoria was a joke, but that could have been due to the rain. For one night stop overs we will be back." (2675990)

Location near to Victoria Station.Warm and friendly staff very pleasent.

Breakfast was basic, we were hoping for Bacon & Egg.

"The hotel is very well situated in central London near Victoria and Pimlico. Pimlico is closest tube station. Hotel very clean, tidy and well kept and looks as if it has been recently upgraded. Buffet breakfast is good for a quick start. Staff are very polite and helpful. the double room was adequate and small shower room very well presented and tiled recently. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The hotel was decorated well and kept very clean by staff." (2707050)

This hotel is very centrally situated. The double room was adequate in size and hotel staff were very good. Buffet Breakfast was very well attended by staff.

Television was a bit flickery at times and was very high up on the wardrobe. The single rooms are very small but nothing can be done about them. The main heating was not working but there was an radiator in my room so hotel had been very diligent about this.

"I needed an hotel that was convenient for Westminster. I did not need to use facilities and only really required a place to sleep. Additionally I was only staying for one night. On this basis the hotel was adequate. However I would not want to have had an extended stay at this hotel given the very small, hot and noisy bedrooms and the lack of facilities (particularly as it cost the best part of £100 a night)." (2390159)

    Convenient, pleasant and helpful staff.

The single bedroom was very small and hot. If I opened the window it was small, hot and noisy. The breakfast wasn't great and there was a wait for a table.

"The location, close to Pimlico tube station, is ideal for getting around London easily. Like all London hotels, it is grossly overpriced for what is on offer. However, it is a better than average hotel of its type, renovated fairly recently, simple and clean. Breakfast was basic. If you are offered a rate without continental breafast - take it. Don't pay extra for a continental breakfast (certainly no more than £3.00) - better to pick something up elsewhere. My room at the front was fine, though small. The road is noisy with cars and buses passsing. It's fine during the night. I would imagine the rooms at the back of the building are the quieter. Staff were friendly. For London, taking account of location, modern facilities and price, this was not bad." (1973827)

Though small,it was clean, modern comfortable and adequate.

There was too much noise from the traffic on the road outside.
