"Over all no complaints but I would try for a hotel nearer Salford Quays. This location means apart from the attached restarant (and Mac Donalds Opp.) you have to drive for any choice of facilities. " (97939541)

A fair price for a city centre hotel of this quality. The room was clean, everything worked. Staff helpful.

On arrival and in the evenings there were people who appeared to be locals using it as the public bar of a local pub. This and the design of the reception area give it a general down market feel. The main road is busy and often niosey.

"Very accessible for town centre and Old Trafford. Decent place to stay with free car park and quiet." (97078169)

This was booked as walking distance from Old Trafford which we have done previous and a reasonable price for an overnight stay.

Booked 12/11/07 for 28/5/08. On 23/5/08 received a phone call saying they had problems with some rooms and needed to book is in an alternative hotel. Both hotels meant it would be unable for us to walk back to our hotel. Found them very unhelpful and had to insist to keep the room and somebody else move. I had to do a lot of phone calls to sort this out. When we arrived was hard to believe by how busy the place that there had been any problems with rooms. Just spoilt the build up for a big night for us after we had arranged so far in advance.

"I would use the hotel again but would not eat there" (97618377)

staff at reception were very good

restaurant and bar service was terrible, we waited for 40 mins for a burger and a bagette, after complaining, they were served to us,the burger and chips were cold and had been lying waiting for someone to serve for a while, the bagette contained the wrong filling, we sent them back and asked for a refund, please note we were not the only people to do this that afternoon. One girl was there to serve the bar and the food despite the bar being very busy, this is unacceptable

"We went to a concert and would normally have stayed at a premier inn or similar but were all booked up so went for Camponile because we had to not out of choice. Will try to avoid staying in one again though, other so called budget hotels are better for the same or less cost." (97900349)

Mid priced hotel, OK for a one night stay over.

The hotel looked tired and in need of an update, Travel lodge or premier charge around the same but are to a better standard. Staff (mostly foreign)were disinterested and did not seem to know what they were doing. Cleanliness was at best adequate. Food in restaurant was Ok for the price but not brilliant.

The car park gates kept us awake most of the night when they opened and closed.OUr room was at that end of the blok so perhaps other rooms would nothave heard it so much.

"Two people on reception, walked up to the one that made eye contact - who promptly picked up the phone. The other person was finishing something onscreen and then sorted our booking. Could have done with a smile. There is supposed to be security to the accomodation block, but the door, on all occasions we used it, was unlocked." (97269332)

It was clean (although very basic)

    Size of room

"The hotel was very nice, clean and contained all the facilities a business traveler needs. The staff were very friendly and helpfull and the location was easy to access by car. However, on foot the access was not so user friendly. Would I stay there again? - I am happy to be staying at the Campanile next week and perhaps even the following week." (97047542)

Access to the hotel is for those traveling in a car. On foot access is poor. The time displayed on the TV / wake-up call facility was not correct. It was not on British summer time. I could not find a menue on the TV to enable me to correct the setting.

I would have thought it in order to allow some element of compensation to guests for the inconveinience. I doubt that may guests slept well after this incident." (97980330)
