Good location, quiet street, quiet hotel, pleasant staff.
Tt says on site 'tea/coffee facilities' but none in room. It did not state anywhere on the notices in the hotel, perhaps I had to ask?

"Pleasant experience overall." (107156292)
Room was clean, quietly located for such a busy part of London. Bed comfortable with nice fresh linen. Bathroom spotless. Nice to have hospitality tray in a B&B.
Quite cramped with luggage in the room and a bit noisy from neighbouring rooms. Breakfast only served till 9 am on a Sunday - so we missed out as we didn't want to rush. Would have been nice to have more choice of channels on the TV.

"luckily, we didn't stay much in the room, or I would have been more depreseed." (108022143)
clean and nice staff in the breakfast
very small room, lack of fresh air, in the basement where all the noise was heard. when paying, the guy in the reception was ating as if he was doing us a favour for taking a considerable amount of money. Total unprofessional attitude. Moaning & growning.

"Fairly good value for money (except for the noise)" (107290958)
Very friencly and helpful staff, clean rooms and shower plus toilet; free internet
Room really noisy on the ground floor (under very squaking stairs) in another building on the other side of the street with no staff present (reception in the main building; we had to enter with our own key); would definitely request a room in the main building next time

Pleasent, clean hotel. Comfortable bed.
Like all small hotels in London: quite tight and rooms small, no LObby as such.

"Very good, close to the station which was very handy. Quick check in and check out. Only issue was that our t.v in the room didn't work but as a young couple in a hotel for a short break, who needs a t.v!?" (107187094)
Small quiet just down the road from the station, friendly staff.
T.v didn't work.

"Very good experience all in all. I would definitely stay again" (97287341)
Very very convenient to King's Cross Tube station...perfect in fact. Very clean and orderly run hotel. I would stay again when traveling to London for sure. The breakfast was good.
Would be nice if AC was available in summer months, but management provided a fan which was very helpful. Breakfast could vary a bit more and allow for specific egg orders, i.e., soft, fried or scrambled.

"This could be a good hotel (aside from the fact that it is fairly noisy) but my stay was ruined by the attitude of the staff. I will not be going back." (108093720)
Well appointed, clean room.
Reception closed both on arriving and leaving hotel. Staff who don't understand English properly. Tried to pay bill but told to go to kitchen where a girl simply took room key from me without explanation. Tried to find someone else to whom I could settle the bill but was ignored. Hours later a manager called me to complain that I hadn't paid the bill!! When I explained that this was the fault of the hotel he blandly ignored my complaints and implied that the problem was mine alone.

"An overall pleasant experience. I can live with a small room and even without an elevator, if everything is clean, and that it was." (97214352)
Cleanliness, location, good breakfast
Room was on third floor, no elevator (I think that was in the description), but in parts one could not stand up fullly, because it was under the staircase. The double bed for two was very small. Bathroom and shower were in the hallway, no other rooms for three were available, so that is not a bad point.

"We needed somewhere in this locaton, en-suite rooms and cleanliness are very important when I choose accommodation so this was perfect in that respect. However the noise level is a bit of a nuisance, coming from both the street and the other rooms around the hotel. " (108095632)
Very good customer service, cleanliness, and value for money. good location very close to Kings Cross & St. Pancras Underground station.

"Excellent position close to Kings Cross. Friendly staff tried to be helpful, but the rooms and facilities are grossly inadequate, particularly at this price and compared to larger hotels in the vicinity. In particular, the family room would have been small for two people in the (tiny) double bed, and was way too small for an additional single bed, leaving almost no floor space to walk in, let alone place luggage. The shared showers were very small, with no shower curtain, no shampoo and only a single (broken) hook on the wall - there was no way to take a towel and clothes into the shower without getting them soaking wet." (97280977)
Position, free internet
Showers - shared, small with no shower curtain, only one hook on the wall so clothes got wet, no shampoo. Tiny room for three people - insufficient space even to place luggage on the floor. Tea and coffee only on request. Very tight stairs. Inadequate space for breakfast.

It was a good value for money. Central for the tub etc. Clean and a good breakfast.
Our only problem was we were at the very top of the hotel and it was difficult for my husband of 60 years taking the cases up all those stairs.

"The hotel was close by to both Kings Cross & St Pancrass International Station. I might have struggled to find it, had I not arrived by taxi. Staff where friendly. The breakfast was excellent albeit the table was rather small. The accomodation was clean but very compact. As the reception is not open until 09.00hrs, it is advisabe to settle your bill on the previous day. I would certainly recommend this hotel for short stay purposes." (97168905)

"Pretty good for a London £price Hotel would book again " (97637875)
Breakfast was good , location was ideal , staff were polite & efficient
Room a bit small typical London hotel room built for midgets ! inside was a bit stuffy could do with more ventilation, if someone else is paying for you by phone make sure they process your card correctly my fathers got refused twice until he told them they needed to enter the 3 digit security code , they said they had never had to do this in the past ?? once they tried his way it worked . Gentleman on phone very nice about it all though .

"The hotel was chosen because of its location to train stations. The bedding was clean. No help with recommendations on places to eat. Just heres your key, go across the road to your room. Some recommendations for the area would of been appreciated. Hotel should advertise that they do not supply soap for showering." (97121968)
Was near the train stations as advertised.!
Sleeping across road from hotel check in, small rooms, too many hallways and doors to go through to get to room and no help with luggage.

"I read a lot of reviews before selecting the Alhambra,so I knew what to expect. My husband, who had not been to London for a few decades, was astounded at the cost of a small, basic room, but I've been to London on business a few times during the past several years and knew how high prices are. That said, we had a clean, quiet room. It was small enough to be awkward for two adults to move around much and it was tiring hauling our luggage up and down the stairs (no elevator). The breakfast was adequate (eggs, beans, sausage, tomatoes, toast, juice or hot oatmeal and juice). The staff was very friendly and helpful. I'd probably stay there again because it costs a lot more to get anything better." (97146951)
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean.
