    "Excellent" (97481239)

The receptionist/manager was outstanding in her friendliness and helpfulness to us and in her efficiency at breakfast. The continental breakfast itself was the best we have had.

Room was a bit small and quite noisy. Next time we would choose a riverside room.

"hotel room was small but clean and adequate. Needs to have a night porter given the prices and location to the town centre. " (97789917)

hotel staff were very grumpy generally, we fogot the key and it took us 45 minutes to get in after 11 (at 12pm) and were greated by a barrage of abuse. Not what you expect from a hotel in Richmond.

Room was clean with tea/coffee making facitities.

We could not open window and room got quite stuffy at times

Convenient location for weddign the next day

Way too hot, bordering on unbearable.

The location was excellent, two minutes from the shops and the thames.

The bed could have been better.

"I was actually looking for a hotel closer to Richmond University. I was greatly disappointed at first, when I realized that I had booked the wrong hotel. After staying at the Richmond Park Hotel, I realized that I am glad that I chose this hotel. Fate was on my son and my side. Great people, friendly and warm reception. Nothing but total kindness and support from all." (2234728)

The people were fantastic. Dot, the receptionist was kind, courteous and extra helpful. Annie, the cleaning person was out of this world. Her kindness and understanding was greatly appreciated. I wish more people where I come from were as kind and friendly and welcoming as these people were.

"I was only there for two days and wasn't in the hotel much but what I saw was a clean, quiet hotel. I was there saturday and sunday night and wondered if the very popular bar next door would cause problems later. But since I wasnt there til after 2am anyway it didnt matter! No lift which would be good for some people but was no problem for me on the top floor. The room was clean, the bed was very comfy, the bathroom was clean and everything worked well. Overall my only complaint would be the lack of parking facilities which is a big feature of Richmond anyway. I advise you NOT to leave the car for 5 mins to check in...I did and got a ticket. At 10pm on a saturday. There is parkingon the hill that goes up opposite the hotel and from sat night to monday am is free. Other than that, very nice. Pricey but thats london for you!!" (2298305)

    Convenient, clean, friendly(ish), comfy room/bed

Bit pricey for what it was!

Largest room I have ever stayed in while in London area.

The heat was incredibly high. After turning it off and leaving the window open for hours, the room was still incredibly warm because heat was radiating from the room below me.

"Businesslike, friendly and good value for London. It would have been useful to get a local map of Richmond with the hotel's location, train station, etc., clearly identified." (1634557)

    No fuss and friendly staff.

Would have enjoyed a cooked breakfast option, even if not a full English.

"I knew the hotel, so no surprises. Close to business is main factor. No frills." (1536272)

Close to business. Not noisy (other side from road). Bed ok.

Very poor tv offering. How about CNN and one channel from France, Germany, Italy?

  • 8/10 David ( Solo leisure traveller)

Friendly reception and upgrade from single to double room because of availability. Much appreciated.

Noise from late night revellers, overnight rubbish clearance and aircraft. This was not helped by warm weather requiring an open window.

  • 8/10 Kenneth ( Mature couple)

"Well-situated small hotel. 10 minute walk to Rail station (serving both underground and overground), or 2 minutes by bus (bus stop is right outside the hotel). Staff were very helpful and friendly." (1337924)

Very helpful and friendly staff. Nice breakfast

Comfort would be enhanced by having air conditioning in the rooms (it was quite hot outside, and therefore inside too)
