"Nice hotel, shame about the blinds" (97561357)
Pleasant, clean, nicely decorated, polite staff, good location
I was given a ground floor room and didnt feel safe with people walking right past the window. Also, blinds not curtains that dont close enough let a lot of light in so I could sleep, also people could see in, I really didnt feel safe or comfortable with this.

"The cost of the room was too high for it's size and facilities (no bar or restaurant due to refurbishment). Staff were very polite and helpful though. A larger room or a reduced cost for such a small one would be in order." (97209640)
The location was excellent, close to tube lines and major sites
The room was tiny. It was an experience trying to use an ironing board in it.

"Staff were welcoming and the room was clean and had all the basics. I was initially disappointed that the restaurant was the hotel bar area and immediately off the street. Also there was no real lounge to meet up with friends. However, despite first appearances, the staff were extremely attentive and the risotto amazingly good. Plus and minus points are that the hotel is above Euston underground station. Good in that it was extremely easy to get to my appointment on the tube and obviously not quite so good because of the proximity of the road, etc." (97005584)
Hotel was undergoing refurbishment at the time of my stay.

It was easy to get to. Very Clean nice personal touches, such as fruit and water. Very welcome. Thank you
The room was extemely small, although well equpped and very clean. I would not consider staying for more than one night.

"This hotel is being refurbished and this may put some guests off. But the room quality is good as is the buffet breakfast. Liked the modern shower. I benefitted from a free upgrade to double room but slept very badly due to room heat (too noisy outside to leave window open). There was an air conditioning unit but not operational. Flat screen TV let down by poor signal quality. Overall though this was a good find and very convenient location for Camden etc " (97369091)
Convenient location by tube, excellent continental breakfast (orange juice a bit watery!), good standard of room, complimentary newspapers / magazines
Reception initially insisted on Passport or Driving Licence, room rather hot even with fan running, good TV but poor picture quality, no room lighting option (all or nothing)

"The rooms are very small, the first room I was given was supposed to be a double room, but you couldn't walk around the bed! I asked to be moved to a room with a desk as I needed to do some work and the staff were able to find me one. The staff are helpful in the main, though I had to ask twice for an iron and twice for extra coffee. The real issue for me staying at the hotel was the the poor noise insulation - I couldnt get to sleep until 3am because the noise from the traffic outside was unbearable." (97697909)
The accommodation was modern and the food in the restaurant was very good, the TV facility was good.

Polite staff, clean and tidy facilities, good and healthy breakfast, free newspapers. Easy access to underground transport.
Small and somewhat encramped rooms and facilities, TV-set didn't work too well and we didn't manage to get an internet connection working (but didn't try too hard we must admit)

"As a place to shower and sleep it was excellent, clean and modern. I was out from 7.30 am to 11pm, so it suited my needs for shower and sleep. Had I had to work, or wanted to relax, the space would have been inadequate. Breakfast was healthy and plentiful but the late start at weekends (7.30 to 10) meant that I was unable to partake on two of my three days in the hotel. Members of staff were courteous and helpful." (97879457)
I liked the convenient location, clean and modern room with the usual facilities (tea and coffee, hairdryer, safe, toiletries, internet access, TV) and having my request for a quiet room (given that it's in central London) met.
Small room - inadequate space for doing any work. No chair (nor space for one) to relax and read or watch TV. If there had been two of us in the double room, it would have been cramped. Lack of focused lighting in the bathroom for makeup; no towel rails.

"The Euston square hotel offers a reasonable choice for the traveller looking to stay close to the centre of London. Whilst the room was a little small and traffic noise noticable the minamilistic decor works well with all the key facilities being provided in a clean comfortable room. The contentntal breakfast provides a good start to the day in a basic but clean dining facility. In comparison to other central London hotels the Euston square offers a sensible value for money option." (97502482)

thought it vastly over priced
I did not sleep at all from 5am due to the noise of traffic. The glazing should be upgraded - a second layer of double glazing would help to reduce the noise pollution.

"The hotel was clean and comfortable with modern minimalist decor. Unfortunately, the noise from the busy road outside ruined the stay for me. My room was also separated from the neighbouring room by a door which meant I could hear my neighbours talking and moving around late at night." (97055219)
The decoration was very stylish and attractive
There was a very busy road outside and the hotel did not appear to have adequate glazing to shut out the noise compared to other hotels in similar areas. The television was not tuned in correctly and had no reception for ITV or Channel 4

"We would have liked to know the level of sound insulation and window covering of rooms. Had we stayed in one of the inner rooms, the noise level might have been quieter. The room was very hot and the amount of light coming into the room was greater than expected, although it did not prevent us from sleeping. Some curtains might help. "I would have liked to know how small the rooms were. The rooms had everything you needed, it was just in a tight space. My mother & father-in-law had to climb over the bed on one side because the bed was right up against the wall. Obviously had we known beforehand we would have asked for a different room (they are pensioners - albeit relatively fit ones) - and had we known before they unpacked we would have swopped with them. However the same problem would have applied. The shower rooms were brilliant and in superb condition. We really enjoyed our stay though and being close to the rail and subway links was a big bonus." "Overall good. Sadly the behaviour of some unruly guests caused a fire alarm just around 5 am, which required evacuation. The staff responded well and safety of staff and guests appeared well in hand, which is the most important aspect. The hotel management cannot foresee this kind of moronic behaviour but we would suggest that it's unlikely that the culprits would be welcomed back to the hotel." (97985180)
Recently upgraded accommodation to good standard with everything generally working ok. Very helpfull staff and good quality continental breakfast.
The room was very near to Euston Road, which is busy and noisy. It's difficult to see what the hotel could do about this except perhaps investigate triple glazed window fittings (for sound proofing) but cost may be prohibitive.

"I felt the room was comfortable enough, but my sleep was constantly disturbed by the noise level of traffic, mainly Fire, Police and Ambulance sirens, therefore I have rated the Overall value for money question as poor because of this, and feel these rooms should be charged lower and customers be notified of the noise level if being allocated these rooms. I also feel that it would have been more convenient if the toilet sink spout had been able to swivel to either side of the sink." (99314651)

"Hotel was all right for a couple of nights, as there was not much storage for your clothes. Nowhere to put your toilet bag contents in the shower room. A stool at the dressing table would have been nice to do one's hair. Hair drier was included, which saves you having to take one. We were in a room which had the fire doors on the otherside of the wall, this door was consistently banging through the night. Bed was comfortable enough." (97616636)

"We were amazed when we arrived at Euston how close the hotel was to the station. We had anticipated a walk of at least 10 minutes but arrived within 3 or 4 minutes of leaving Euston. The hotel is very nicely decorated and the staff were all friendly and helpful. We were also pleased that everything was easily reached from the hotel as the entrance to Euston Square Station is just on the corner by the hotel and buses can be taken from outside Euston Station to more or less anywhere in London that you might want to go. The room that we stayed in was very clean and all facilities were in working order. Our only problem in the hotel was that, my cousin, who I travelled with, is less than 5feet tall and the wardrobe and the spyhole in the door to the room seemed to be designed for guests somewhat taller. I'm 5ft 7in and had to stretch to hang things in the wardrobe and could just about see through the spyhole if I stood on tiptoe. For us though, these were minor points and certainly did not spoil our stay. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again next time we go to London." (97591915)
The hotel was very clean and nicely decorated. The staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel itself was ideally situated for all sightseeing and tourist attractions and is only a few minutes walk from Euston Station.
Some of the facilities in the hotel seemed to be designed for tall people, for instance the hanging rail in the wardrobe was too high for my cousin to reach and I had to stretch to reach it and I'm 5ft 7in. Also if I'd been any shorter I wouldnt have been able to use the spyhole in the door. These are only minor though and did not spoil our stay.

"The hotel is undergoing major refitting so no main entrance was available and air-conditioning is promised for the end of the engineering works. The room was not ready on arrival (at 12 noon) and I had to wait till 2p.m. It certainly seems a mistake to render the rooms so lilliputian." (97155167)
