The room was neat and tidy. Bed linen was clean and comfy. Nice bathroom. Plenty of plug sockets. Handy little desk. Located very close to Vauxhall train and tube station, makes traveling into West End as easy as it ever is.

The restaurant was being rebuilt so the lobby and breakfast room were a bit of a building site. They had made a reasonable job of making it a neat and tidy building site and good effort of keeping noise down but still detracts overall. Only continental breakfast available which was a big disappointment, although previous experience of cooked breakfast in other Comfort Inns suggested that I really wasn't missing anything worth eating. No restaurant facility so far as I could tell. Took payment upon checkin, which just isn't the way any hotel I have ever been to does it... makes you feel you can't charge anything to your room, although they didn't seem to have anything to charge to the room anyway. No bar!!!!!!!! Room too hot as it was very warm weather, and traffic noise was way too high to tolerate open windows. Really need air conditioning in rooms when on such a busy road.

The staff were polite, efficient and helpful. The room had been recently re-decorated and the bed was comfortable (Hooray!!!)

It would have been good to have been informed that the hotel restaurant was closed for re-furbishing.

Having a 3rd fold up bed in a single room taking all the space - I folded it up, and noticed others had put them in the corridor!

    Adequate size bedroom, comfortable bed

Tiny duvet for two people. Reception couldnt supply more coffee packets. Noisy road.

"Despite the noise issue, the rooms were kept clean and were comfortable. I have no other complaints about the service we received or the state of the rooms." (97845423)

    It was clean and comfortable

1 out of the 2 rooms that were booked overlooked the main road which caused a sleepless night for one of my colleagues. The traffic noise made it impossible for him to sleep which led to him being exhausted during the event.

General appearance of lobby, check-in, breakfast (both facility and quality absolutely inadequate)

    Location

Specifically booked a double room, but got a twin??!! This was why we chose this hotel. Chaos in the breakfast room.

Modern.Neat, clean, comfortable and compact accommodation. Efficient heating and ability to open windows to access fresh air. Coffee/tea making facility is a real plus. Car parking available

Very noisy radiator. Rushing noise all night even with radiator in off position. Very irritating. Shower curtain needed replacing as grubby.

"An economic and very functional hotel close to central London with good access by bus and tube. The hotel doesn't pretend to be something it isn't so if you want luxury, go elsewhere. If you want a perfectly comfortable and standardly equipped hotel, this will be fine for you." (97286829)

Convenient with good access to central London. Good self-service breakfast with plenty to eat that will set you up for the day. Clean and comfortable room.

Road noise was noticeable at times during the night.

"I would like to have known more precisely where the hotel was located. The ad stated the hotel was within 1 km of Waterloo, but this information proved to be incorrect, much to my dismay. Further, when I asked for a taxi to Waterloo, someone at the hotel ordered a car (totally unnecessary) for which I was charged 15 pounds. The fare to Waterloo by taxi would be around 7 pounds. I felt taken by the hotel, as the service was not requested and entirely unjustified in cost." (99351364)

I thought the room arrangement had been well thought out. We were two friends together in the room and both needed space for primping. The lighting was well done as well, so we could both read at night.

The bathroom was unsafe. Upon arrival in the room, I found the floor mat in front of the shower entirely soaked. This made the tile in the bathroom extremely slippery. Also, when I asked several of the staff for help, none of the three I tried to talk to could understand English well enough to help me. A promise was made that I would be furnished a new bathmat, but none was forthcoming, nor were clean towels which I had also requested.

"Breakfast was manic... food, crockery and cutlery were in short supply and the staff were not very helpful. Being some of the last to breakfast meant that you were lucky to get what other guests had enjoyed, there were not enough supplies to cater to ALL the guests requirements. The staff were very quick to clear up, making it obvious that your time was up and they wanted to leave." (97515737)

The room was clean, comfortable and tidy with everything that was required for an overnight stay.

Some of the soft furnishings could have been better, a curtain was falling off the rail and the duvet cover didn't fit the duvet properly. Hand towels would have been appreciated and more pillows, too - 3 is an odd number to have in a double room!

"This hotel is cheap and well situated for Vauxhall and the Tate Britain. It is found in the small Portuguese area on South Lambeth Road and there are several authentic Portuguese restaurants nearby. It was clean, and the room facilities were adequate but the overall effect was cheap looking. There is quite a lot of noise from the road, though this diminishes during the night. the Continental Breakfast was quite minimal and the so-called orange juice from the dispenser was ghastly. The hotel tries to be environmental with lights in the corridors coming on by sensor as you walk through - which has the effect of making the place look a bit dark. The hotel seems to have 2 names(Comfort Hotel is one and something like Hotel 54 is the other) - what's that about?" (97535316)

    Room was not too small

Room facilities were minimal, eg soap was from a dispenser in the shower

"If you are looking for a no frills Hotel this is a good place to use. It is clean, safe, comfortable and friendly. You also be in touch with the local people. Outside you will find a Bus Stop with two of the best bus route in London. 88 Bus will pass London Eye, Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus and more. 2 Bus will pass Victoria Station and three minutes walk from Bukingham Palace, Hide Park, Marble Arch, Oxford Street and more." (3304561972)

The fact that it was quite, well appointed, clean and everything in working order.

We spend our first night in a Quad Room wich I originally book, the room was crouded with beds, no air condition and if you wanted to use the coffee facility in the room you had to walk on beds. I respectfully raccomend that the hotel relooks at this set up. It could have been a very uncomfortable stayng. Changed to a Suite on the next night and it was very comfortable and the kids enjoyed the Jacuzzi.

    The staff were pleasant

Check in was very slow because one person was taking telephone bookings, dealing with telephone queries from guests as well as checking people in. The floor under the washbasin was dirty. Initially there was a smell of drains in the bathroom. Furnishings in this hotel seem of a cheaper quality than I have found in other Comfort Inns

"We booked three rooms for one night on New Years Eve. It was a 20 minute walk to the London Eye, where we saw a great fireworks show. Because of the busy holiday- the breakfast line and contents were below par. But the staff was working hard to get clean dishes, utensils, and trying to accommodate everyone. We didn't want to be bothered by the chaotic mayhem- and ate elsewhere. My wife and daughters were skeptical about using the combo pump soap/shampoo that was provided for their hair. Had we know that the usual complimentary shampoos were not provided- we would have brought our own. Instead they skipped the hair washing for this day. We would consider staying there again, but bring our own shampoo." (99281580)

The rooms were clean, and quiet. It was close to the rail station and we were able to walk to center London.

I found the beds very uncomfortable. The breakfast line was out into the lobby. After examining the food contents- we skipped out on the free breakfast.

Smart, clean space with a desk to allow use of a laptop computer. The overhead fan was very useful in the hot conditions.
