"We booked this hotel as we were looking for a hotel at a reasonable price with a central location. However, although the room was supposedly a superior double, it was very cramped and basic. There was a television in the room which only worked on 3 stations. Our friends were also staying on the same package. Their room (and tv) were much better so may be we were unlucky. Overall the hotel did not offer value for money and for not much more we could have booked a much better hotel." (97920888)
Good central location. Pleasant friendly service.
Room was very cramped. Television did not work.

"We stayed in a privilege room which was well decorated and even had a little balcony. We did experience some noise from guests in the next room one evening due to the thin walls, but this was quickly resolved. Overall we thought it was good value for money and enjoyed our short break. We would recommend to relatives and friends." (97172407)
Excellent location, friendly helpful staff, clean functional hotel and room.
Drawer storage would be useful if staying for more than a few days.

Great location, rooms basic but not bad for the money, helpful staff, recommended.
Sometimes a bit of a language barrier, but then we were in France!

"good central base for a short break" (108090991)
location; good rooms for standard of hotel; good off-street parking
very poor fire escape facilities from upper floors; f&b costs very high for quality of hotel

"The hotel staff were friendly and efficient. Our rooms were decorated and fitted out to a very high standard,(we booked a superior room--so not all rooms may be to this standard). Breakfast at 9 euros was good value. External decoration poor at present, but the receptionist (owner?) suggested they would be doing this later in the year. Overall, excellent VFM, we'd stay there again." (97402165)
The bathroom was of a particularly high standard

"Enjoyed our stay. " (97750166)
The room was well appointed and clean. Also bed linen and towels etc were good. The breakfast was fine with plenty of choice.
The lift was out of order and I suffer with arthritis. I thought the charge for breakfast for a child was expensive and the maid failed to leave soap in the bathroom but fortunately we had our own.

"Loved it! Thank you!" (108080421)
A room with character and personality!
The location and day of the week made for a very noisey evening and with the market setting up the next morning, there was a lot of noise early in the morning - this of course can not be helped and didnt take away from the experience!

The bathrooms are awful. A grubby looking shower that may or may not provide hot water when you need it. Room in poor state of decoration, generally tatty.

Location and parking
The light in the bathroom was intermittant - worked sometimes and not others. There was a dead Fly on the floor for two days The lift is slower than taking the stairs.

"Fantastic place for an overnight top in le Touquet. However, Saturdays are really busy becasue of the market and it was quite difficult to get the car out of the car park as the market traider vans blocked the exit. It would have useful for the hotel to advise us that this can happen. However, the Market is fabulous and worth a walk round. Breakfasts are worth the 9 euros: good choice of breads, croissants, cereals, eggs and plenty of Tea/Coffee and fresh juices. I would reccomend the Blue Cottage." (97760477)
The Blue Cottage was clean, well presented and the rooms well decorated. It was also in a great central location, with free car parking.

"Functional." (97594451)
Central location.
Lack of mirror in room which can only be described as small in comparison with other hotels we hsve visited at much lower expense. Narrow toilet and shower room. Would not consider Hotel as value for money. Hotel tried to charge our guests for 4 breakfasts which they did not have. Reviews on this hotel describe this act as normal. Hotel literature prior to booking exageratted their facilities. Breakfast inadequate at high cost.

"We stayed at this hotel many years ago and it has since been refurbished to a high standard. The room would benefit from a small fridge and perhaps more television channels to cater for foreigners. However, we enjoyed our stay there and will return as it is in an ideal location for the town. I liked that you could change the heating especially as it was very cold outside. Thanks to the staff who were very helpful Nigel & Stephanie Leach" (97114093)
It was clean and tidy, the staff friendly and the room was nice and warm

"ok for one night and breakfast was reasonable.not too badly placed for food/drink outings." (97647666)
website pictures of hotel did not resemble reality of rooms given, we booked at a cheaper non-refundable rate and obviously got the worst rooms available. The other refurbished rooms looked ok and value for money.....you get what you pay for....... Ask to see your room first before you accept the key for it!

"Overall the experience was adequate. The room was cheap, the location good. Standards of non chain hotels vary greatly and since we had not stayed in this area before it is not possible for me to judge the hotel by local standards. If however a cheap chain such as Fasthotel or Ibis represented 100 then this hotel scored 40. " (99062887)
location of hotel; size of room
lift not working; room in a tatty state; dirty carpets;lack of bathroom privacy.Attempted to overcharge the 59.00euros agreed by charging a further 18 euros for a breakfast not requested. Noisy.

Friendly staff. Good value for money for a short break. Very clean. Shower room was very nice.
Bed was very small. Did not like the decor in the room - orange walls and a dark carpet made it feel very small and gloomy.

"Overall we had a great stay and I would give this hotel 5 out of 5 for a 2 star hotel. We were extremely close to centre and we stepped outside to the market which was a bonus. We were also within walking distance of the beach though it was a bit too cold in February. Also close to Boulogne for a day out, plenty of restaurants and shops around Le Touquet to keep you occupied. Our hotel room was slightly on the small side but it was very modern and bathroom was extremely modern and clean. I am very particular when I visit a hotel and this certainly has the thumbs up." "The Blue Hotel had been fully refurbished since our stay last year, we were pleasantly surprised. Our room was clean and did not smell of cigarette smoke as it had done before. The hotel is situated next to the Le Touquet market Which holds its weekly sales on a thursday morning. It is supported by local people and you can buy some really local products to take home. The hotel is also near the centre where there are endless restaurants that can offer you some fantastic local food." (97013347)
The Blue Hotel is well situated in Le Touquet. It has been refurbished to a high standard and the rooms that we had this year were cleaner and did not smell of cigarette smoke like last year. The line was clean and the hot water was available after running the tap for a while! The breakfast was delicious and enourmous if you wanted it to be. generally very comfortable and good value.

"The hotel certainly proved to be value for money for a short stay in October. The location is excellent with ample free parking and check-in was quick and efficient. Although the room was a touch on the small side it was comfortable with a well equipped bathroom and ample hot water. The main areas for improvement are the noisy plumbing and wooden floors that gave noise from above by people simply walking around." (97733985)

Breakfast very good and fresh, lots of choice. Plenty of free parking in car park at rear and at front but beware of the market 3 days a week when one car park is used.
No plugs near any mirror so the wife couldn't use the GHD's!
