    It was calm,normal good atmosphere.

it was not easy to find the hotel in the first place, after a long trip with a car.

"Annecy has a one-way system which makes finding any hotel a challenge without a GPS. Using a GPS, we found this hotel very quickly and easily. It is in a quiet area of town but within easy walking distance of the charming town centre. We found hotel roomy by French standards with a good bath/shower. It was spotlessly clean, staff were efficient and our stay was very pleasant. We would return to this hotel in the future." (3305125398)

Hotel was in an excellent situation, quiet but near to town's attractions. Secure garaging for my motorbike was also available at a small extra charge. The hotel room was roomy, clean and had coffee facilities.

    Nothing

"Good for an over night stop but not the sort of hotel you would want to stay in for long." (3304886955)

It was close to town which meant it was easy to walk in to find somewhere to eat in the evening

The balcony overlooked the courtyard of a block of flats so that you did not feel comfortable sitting on it .It would have been better to make the room larger as it was quite compact.

"I have said what I wanted to say above." (3304920629)

While the hotel is not within the boundaries of old Annecy, it backs onto the Thiou River, and it is a very nice walk along the path by the river to the old town. Also, the bakery right nearby was excellent.

I felt the staff needed a bit more training, both in their attitude and in their local knowledge. We wanted to go to the Fier Gorge, a well-known spot, and they didn't know if there was a way to get there without a car. They didn't even have a phone number for the place until we gave it to them. Also, we asked about renting a scooter, and they didn't know about that either. They called around, finally finding a place on the other side of the lake, but when we left the hotel one day we found a rental place about two minutes away in the direction of the train station. As for attitude, they were pleasant, but I found it odd that they didn't look up when people entered the hotel. Generally, guests appreciate recognition and a smile when they come in.

"The hotel had all the facilities expected for a modern urban hotel, if anything they were good for the price. Air-conditioning was essential. The breakfast had a good choice but was somewhat expensive. As we wanted to be close to Annecy centre, it was not easy to work out from the website how far it was from the old town; in the end it proved to be a little further than would have been ideal." (3304948961)

    Pleasant moderate standard hotel

Its location was a drab and very urban, not ideal for visitors on vacation, probably more suited for business visitors.

"Good value hotel. Well situated for public transport users as an easy 5-7 minute walk from the rail and bus stations. Although the hotel is not in the historic centre it is a pleasant 10 minute walk away - along an attractive footpath by the river. The breakfast at 7.50 Euros had all one would wish for with food of decent quality." (3304340432)

    Excellent value, friendly staff.

Room a little cramped - and a view of flats at the rear in the same complex not very pretty.

"Using Annecy's one way system, finding the hotel was very difficult - look for the train station & you are nearly there. Car parking is free overnight, but spaces can be hard to find - you have to pay during the day & secure parking is £5 per night, so factor that into your costs. Reception is nice & friendly (English speaking) & breakfast very good. The rooms are a little small, some improvements to decor could be made & there is no view of the lake, but all the facilities functioned very well - kettle, hairdryer, TV, shower - loads of hot water & the room was quiet. Once you get the lie of the land, it's a smashing 10 minute walk down by the canal to the lake & the old town centre. I would stay again." (2238960)

Good value, quiet & friendly. All facilities worked well.

Finding the hotel by car was a nightmare! Also disappointed to have to pay for parking.

"Everything was OK. The hair-dryer didn't work, and sometimes there was only one person on reception, which didn't seem enough to cope with the demands on her. but apart from that everything was of a good standard. If I was the manager of the hotel I'd have been pleased." (2392578)

The Air conditioning! (it was very hot outside.)

The lift was slow. But they seem to be very slow in most places.
