    "Functional, but little joy." (107205989)

Good location close to tube station. Free parking. Helpful and friendly desk staff.

Rather grim surroundings (building site next door). Rather dour hotel interior and rooms. Indifferent breakfast buffet staff.

Close to the Stadium where we were visiting. Close to other ammenities. Had stayed there before and loved it.

Noise on the first night from the business next door - unbearable til early hours. Also one of the blankets was extrmely smelly and the shower didnt work too well - couldnt turn the temperature down. Our weekend was too busy to submit a complaint.

Rather expensive compeared to other hotels in the same area.

"Last year the only availble hotel at the last minute was the IBIS 1 star, it was much better than this. I was prepared top pay more for a 3 star but was very disappointed. I spend a large number of nights, on business, in hotels, I would not use this hotel or this chain again out of preference." (107122580)

Location, staff on the main desk helpful

Poor quality equipment eg. tv and remote, we had trouble using them and the remote handset was broken (batteries taped in and kept falling out). Breakfast was poor value for the money, served directly to us (one piece of bacon only but could not have two even though other items were not required!)Two of my party were asked to come back in a few minutes for items that had run out (ie. eat what you have on your plate then queue up again for a sausage!)- this is poor. For the price I would never eat there again.

"good hotal would definately use again" (97052735)

    clean,good service,easy to book,helpfull staff,nice room,good location.

could be better variety of tv channels or option to pay for this.

"I would have been more than happy with the hotel if the price was lower, generally it was good" (97416091)

large room, 2 large beds, iron and ironing board, tea and coffee facilities, air conditioning

bath tap didn't work, hotel was very expensive (£378 for 2 nights) because there was a concert on, breakfast was very overpriced and not worth it

  • 7/10 Charlotte ( Solo leisure traveller)

from Harrogate , GB  on  June 10, 2008

"Good, would stay again as great location for events at Wembley Arena, the Hilton had an hour long wait for after show drinks and food where we got served straight away. No real outside area though so a few more tables during the summermonths would be helpful. Fantastic viewsof Stadium from the hotel bedrooms too." (97448282)

Ease and quickness of service at the bar and reataurant, friendliness of staff, noise level good.

Light in bathroom didnt work, TV channels difficult to change

    quick and efficient check in

"Only used the hotel for its location to Wembley Stadium. It was sufficient for the purpose. Staff were swamped with number staying. Need a quick check out box for the key cards." (97344999)

As on top floor it was nice and quiet.

Key card did not work. We were on 9th floor so another guest let us call from their room to reception. Someone very abrupt came up eventually with a card but they obviously had not listened to me on the phone as they had it set for a different room and had to go back down again. We were then late for where we were going. The shower had no markings on it and burnt the top layer of skin off us. There was no position that made it cooler.

"It served it's purpose as it was close to Wembley Stadium, but I feel that the hotel is cashing in on it's position and not providing the level of accommodation to match the price." (97914068)

Friendly, efficient staff. Close to Wembley Stadium.

This is possibly the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in. The room was shabby - curtains that were falling down, a cracked window, extremely noisy air conditioning unit, damp stains on the walls and a shower like a dripping tap. I think the price per night without even breakfast is disgusting, considering the condition of the room.

  • 5/10 Pauline ( Other)

    near to Wembley Arena

Had to ring 3 times to get safe opened. Took about 4 hours from 1st telephone call. Bathroom had soap suds on wall! Had to pay for breakfast when taken instead of adding to account and paying on leaving. Breakfast mediocre

"Pleasant stay. Would be happy to recommend to friends." (97710790)

Friendly, efficient staff. Very helpful. Room rates fair considering the location.

Although we only passed through reception and on to our room, the hotel appeared due for redecoration. Wall paper on exposed corners in high traffic areas was worn through, paint and flooring looked tired.

  • 5/10 John ( Solo leisure traveller)

from Toronto , CA  on  May 30, 2008

"I was looking only for a quiet place to sleep, and the hotel was suitable. The hotel offers adequate accommodation for the price." (97011068)

Room was surprisingly quiet, given the football matches that weekend.

Sheets and towels are very thin; shower operation is unnecessarily complicated, making heat regulation very difficult; the carpet could use a cleaning.

  • 7/10 Heather ( Other)

from Worcester , GB  on  May 29, 2008

"Generally very pleased with our room. Nice view of the stadium too. No complaints at all." (97258487)

Very clean - makes such a difference to first and overall impression.

Stingy with coffee and tea supplies. No biccies. Remote control felt a bit sticky - so definitely needs to be 'wet-wiped'.

  • 7/10 Brenda ( Mature couple)

"Adequate. We would not stop there again because of all the points above" (97819937)

    Excelent location Adequate parking

Price - way too high No breakfast included in the very high price - Unbelievable! Hotel needed some tender loving care, windows were awful, room was noisy (we could hear all the weather)

  • 8/10 R ( Solo leisure traveller)

"The car park arrangement was fine except that one person on reception told me it was £10 for the following day if i stayed in the car park, and when i went to pay for it was told it was five pounds and hour extra making it 7 extra hours = £35 when I went to pay was told it was less £4 per extra hour , Who makes it up!!" (97162301)

Very good size and comfortable, very good beds

wished the bedroom had smelt a little nicer, possibly more fresh air, and sweeter.

When we arrived to check-in at the hotel there was some confusion because the booking was no longer in the name of Greaves but had changed to Forward." (97813754)

Room was clean, simple but adequate. Beds were comfortable. Coffee & tea making facilities were more than welcome! Bathroom was bright & clean.

Although we didn't have any problems with the car park we were told it is on a first ocme first served basis which isn't made clear when booking as it just states that free parking is available on site" (97226984)

    proximity to the arena

the first room we were given the bed lined had blood on it, we were moved and there was already someone staying in there so we were moved again, and the safe didn't work

  • 9/10 Elisabeth ( Mature couple)

from Bournemouth , GB  on  January 29, 2008

"The hotel was as I expected in condition and cleanliness. Given the location of the hotel and the fact that many people staying were attending the Wembley venue, I would have thought greater emphasis would have been placed on providing adequate early meals to cater for the need." (97069245)

Everything was clean and tidy and we loved the fact there was a small table and two chairs.

The TV was old fashioned and took some time to turn to colour when turned on.

"We were looking for somewhere comfortable to stay during our weekend which included a concert at wembley arena. This hotel is vastly overpriced for the area which is situated. i have stayed in hotels in london on numerous occasions, but this was the worst ever, small rooms, dull decor just vastly overpriced." (97762532)

    Absolutely nothing

Vastly overpriced, the room was dull and the area itself is abismyl

"The breakfast period was too limited and oh classic....there was this rather rude lady at the Front desk, who couldn't help me with directions to Northhampton, she kept on insisting that it wasn't on Route Planner, I walked over to a map on the wall and pointed out Northhampton to her male colleague, her excuse was that I had wrongly pronounced Northhampton and that she understood/heard 2 separate words, I asked if that would have made any difference, she went on to bark back at me that she was only doing me a favour and that providing road directions isn't part of her responsibilities..well ?? front desk, going the extra mile, customer satisfaction ???" (97247635)

Room was ok, Wembley view....close to main roads, enegry conservation and good fire prevention system

No mini bar, breakfast period was so short, no shampoos and toilet rolls were just 2 old pieces.

"If we had realised that the room had previously been used for smokers we would have insisted on having a room that had always been non-smoking. Not only was the smell of stale smoke disgusting there was also cigarette burns in the bed cover. Upon using the lift in the morning somebody had clearly been smoking in the lift not long before we used it." (99378065)

The close proximity to Wembley Arena was excellent.

    Stale cigarette smoke smell.

Great location to Wembley Stadium. Nice big room.

The room price did not include breakfast, to have breakfast would have cost over £10 each just for a buffet meal.

Dinner and a late supper were excellent. Service was good. Other than that nothing except the hotels location, which is a 5 minute walk from Wembley Stadium.

Passage ways and room stank of smoke, we had to air our room and open windows to get rid of the smell of smoke. Pillows and bed nasty and uncomfortble. Bathroom dark with mirror light not working. Shower dripped all night. Curtains and windows were filthy. Three coat hangers were provided for the two of us and we were staying for two nights! On our return to the hotel after our night out all our towels were left on the floor in the bathroom with no others provided, we had to call reception and wait for new ones to be delivered. The hotel place is in dire need of a make-over
