"I have occasion to stay in this hotel a few times a year. Since my last stay it has been renovated. I was however very disappointed to see that no imnprovement had been made to the Kids Play Room. It is not suited to children up to the age of 10. It is a fine size room and could easly be improved. I have found this to be the same story with any of the Lynch Hotels that I have stayed with. This is very disappointing as they advertise themselves as family friendly. I also think that the bar could be a lot more warm and inviting. Hard floors, high tables and hard chairs are fine for a dining room but not for a bar where people go to relax and enjoy themselves. This could definitely be improved upon." (97373083)
The rooms had been newly renovated since my last stay and were very impressive. They were very clean.
The hotel advertises a Kids Play Room. The room is more suited to teenagers that for children in the 3 to 10 age bracket. The room consists of game machines which are not suitable for young children and there is absolutely nothing for the younger child, but a few pictures and a box of crayons. A video is put on and the room is unsupervised. I also found the bar to be a very cold uninviting place.

"The hotel was so busy when we arrived it took ages to check in and we were told at about 3.15 that the room was not ready. My check in document had said check in from 12. After we complained eventually another room was found. Foyer very busy, bar very busy. All very large and anonymous." (99107100)
Seemed clean and tidy
Noise from guests late at night and early morning

"The hotel was in a quite location and met our needs for our last night stay near the airport. It was near a motorway and easy access, quick drive to airport. It was also close to shopping and dinning. The hotel is non smoking. Room was large with adaquate furnishings. You pay for all phone calls, local or otherwise." (99905694)
A large room, friendly staff ready to solve any problem. Hotel near airport.
The hallways were extremly long.

"Food was excellent during our stay. Made up for poor condition of hotel." (99405634)
Food both at wedding and carvery were excellent.
Needs a definite refurbishment. Looks like decorations are 60's like. Leisure centre definitely needs a good going over. Windows are not airtight in room & major draught coming in.

"The food was fantastic, and the atmosphere was friendly, it felt like coming home from a long journey. The view from the reception was gorgous, apart from the road. For being so child friendly the area was quiet. There was very little noise, the kids have somewhere to play and you get to relax. I just think that the breakfast bar should stay open a little longer and it did appear to have building /renovation work at the back of the hotel just opposite my room window. I would definately return to the hotel, and I would also recommend it to others, I already have." (3304751560)
It was well kept and comfortable, the atmospher was comforting, and the people were friendly.
here appeared to be building work , just opposite the window of our room, looking directly into the room. Tthe breakfast bar should stay open a little longer, to maybe 11-11.30am.

"Our reception on arrival was unfriendly but the receptionist was changed later in the afternoon and she was much more helpful as was the receptionist on check-out the following morning. The carvery was rather 'sad'. Arriving at 7.45 pm for a meal, the food looked very dried up and unappetising. We did however ask for freshly cooked fish and a fresh salad and this was provided. Unfortunately the table cloths were plastic. I have booked through Active Hotels on five occasions now in England, Italy and in France and have always been extremely impressed but this was the first time there was a little disappointment." (3304539061)
The room size was good as was the bathroom. It was clean and had tea and coffee making facilities - a welcome sight!
It appeared slightly rundown and on opening the window on the first floor there seemed little protection against falling out! As the hotel is situated reasonably close to Shannon airport, visitors were arriving late and leaving early and there were no notices to ask people to keep their voices down or to close doors quietly when arriving or leaving so it seemed to be noisy all night. Perhaps this is to be expected in a hotel which serves an airport.

"I think generally speaking the hotel is comfortable, friendly and welcoming, although I am always impressed by hotels that provide a welcoming hot drink when you arrive in the lobby such as some of the smaller more personal hotels in Ireland. I thought general running of the hotel, the bar, reception and restaurant were good and value for money. The satff were friendly and helpful, and I would use the facility again." (2880828)
I enjoyed the carvery and the general ambience of the hotel
get rid of the mice if thats possible.......stop children using the long corridors as a running track and play area

"Overall I was very happy with my stay, I'm not sure if I would stay longer thatn one night though due to the large number of families with children." (2699765)
We were using it as a stopover for shannon airport and was very handy but also very nice and relaxing
Bar and restaurant/carvery could be better laid out. seemed a bnit scattered and disorderly

"Large hotel, lacks a bit of character. Good value if booked online through an agency otherwise rates expensive.Generally a typical corporate type hotel geared up for functions and seminars." (2738619)
Location. Cosy lounge with open fire and piano, Views
Decor a bit tired in places. Main bar un inviting. Our room 211 overlooked numerous flat rooftops, extractors, aircon units, guttering, etc, very poor outlook, pot grown hedging and pot plants would make a big difference

Breakfast
Did not get the room we booked, which was a 2 bed family room and tried to charge us the same price. There were seveval rooms booked for the Wedding and everybody was charged different prices. When questioned they reduced some of them, I think they were trying to get as much money as possible from people.
