"The convenient location of the hotel is likely to bring me back to this hotel hoping that they have taken note of my comments concerning the breakfast tea." (97684729)
Hotel is central to theatreland. The rooms are well sound insulated and not overheated
Breakfast tea was the worst i have tasted in any hotel in the last twenty years anywhere in the world. Even the replacement tea was barely satisfactory. The situation was made worse by serving tea in mugs that i would expect to find on a building site.

"Polite and friendly staff. The only fault we had was with the hotel bar on Saturday night which had run out of lager on tap and there was a poor selection of bottled beer/lager. The room was all that we needed and breakfast was excellent." (97365581)

"bed was comfy, room was cold, definatly in need of some decoration." (97445231)
location was fairly good and breakfast was nice
the room was definatly not worth the money. We had to ask to change rooms cos the 1st one we were given was awful. Then the upgrade was ok but still not worth £120 a night!! would not recommend it.

"Good location, but for me it ends there. A deluxe room was booked, but the room was unfortuantely dated and tired. I booked well in advance requesting a room with the view of Leiceter Square if possible, but was allocated the room on arrival based on smoking / non smoking, and they only managed a second floor. They are also grinding the front of the hotel facade, which started at 8am outside the rooms's window." (97904184)

"I'd been stayed in better rooms for this price, however, the location compesates this. If the carpets and bathroom were nicer it would be a excelent hotel. Breakfast is good and you can have a discont once you do your check in." (97410393)
Location of the hotel is fantastic, just near teathers, restaurants, trafalgar square, etc.
carpets and bathroom need to be changed and updated.

"we booked this hotel because it was just around the corner from the theatre we where going to. we had no idea that the hotel was in the centre of every place we had also hoped to visit on our trip. i think it would be a good idea to offer a small broucher of the hotel and its many beautifull and very close monuments, streets and buildings. [many hanks to all for a fantastic stay.]" (97632330)
the room was nicely decorated and had everything in it.the view was fantastic and the bed was a really good size, the best i think we have slepted in.
nothing it was aqll great.

"Overall a very good hotel. Our only reservation would be that the rooms could do with a little makeover. Also at the time of our stay there was scaffolding outside our window which was a bit embarrassing using the toilet with workmen outside the window, but that would be a temporary nuisance." (99101544)
Very central for theatre and shopping, within minutes walk of many theatres. All staff very friendly and helpfull.Rooms/beds very clean. Excellent breakfast.
Rooms well used and a little tired. Bathroom/shower needs decorating

"Overall we had a great time. We did not spend a lot of time in our room, so the dislikes where not too much of an issue. We were cenrally located and could walk very easily to Covent Garden, Busckingham Palace, and various museums that we wanted to visit. Taxis and other transport were readily available and not overly expensive. There was plenty to do, although we had pre arranged some things before our arrival. The reasonalbe price of the room was a reflection of the fact that the hotel was being refurbished. However I didn't realse that breakfast was extra - but we were given £5 discount vouchers against the cost. Hotel staff were professional, polite and corteous." (99541494)
location was good, accommodation was comforatable and breakfast was good. Price was reasonable
it was under refurbishment and we didn't know until we arrived, so windows had scaffold at them and that made the room dark. The down side of a great location meant a lot of noise at night.

I was using the room for business purposes during the morning prior to checkout but was unable to open the curtains for natural sunlight. If I had been pre warned of this I would certainly have booked into an alternative hotel." (99509324)

"Very good location for the theatre but for the money was not really up to standard but it was the location I paid for. Room was not well kept, bathroom was in need of decoration and not very clean. Had a fire alarm go off at 11pm and we were not informed as to what was happening, I asked at reception and was told to wait inside. Ten minutes later we were told to move outside and were left waiting for a good 15 minutes with no information from the staff. The fire brigade turned up and went inside to check - 5 minutes later they came out and told us we could go back in, not the hotel staff. There was no explantion from the hotel staff as to what was happening, no apolgies. Nothing it was if the staff didn't know what to do or where to be. Staff were very poor and not very good communication skills." (99667529)

"ideal location but the standard of the room was below expectatations especially with regard to the bathroom facilities which I view as extremely important" (99070947)
the location was ideal for visiting central london
I thought the standard of the room was poor considering the rate paid, the bathroom was in a poor state and could see that attention to cleanliness had been neglected. the bathroom had not been revamped for a long while judging by the decor, tiles and washtaps etc. overall a disappointing experience given this was a 1 st anniversary present for my wife

"The bed was brilliant but the room was small, the local is amazing right in the center of Leic Square near everything. Prices were reasonable and we could upgrade to a kingsize for £10 on the day (which was well worth it). The bathroom was a bit dirty and poorly decorated but the staff we really friendly and helpful. The bar prices are also very reasonable (£15 for a bottle of white wine, which you can take up to your room)" (99210301)
Huge well made comfortable king size bed.
Currently renovation to outside of building so scaffolding up covering window (Nov 06) also bathroom was really poorly decorated compared to the rest of the hotel.

"Knowing there were building works would have been useful as I would have asked for another room. Cleaners actually entering the room while you are still sleeping without your permission is not acceptable and more care should be taken by the hotel with its customers! This is the first hotel where this has happened and I've stayed in a few. However the location was good and a reduction was obtained." (99654726)
Location
Building works very noisy! Builders right outside my window drilling at 9.00 am in the morning! No notice given, however a reduction was given after complaining. Twice the cleaners knocked on the door before 8.30 am to see if the room was empty - put your do not disturb sign up! I was on holiday, not on business.

"Location, Location, Location. Across the road from Leicester square, two minutes walk from Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square and about fifteen minutes walk from big ben!! If your staying in London you will NOT find a more central hotel for the money!! Overall the hotel was excellent and the staff could not have been more helpfull. However my two main gripes (well actually even better if's) would be the noise, the hotel is across the road from Leicester Square with bars, restaurants and clubs which makes me feel more could be done to quieten the noise, but it really wasn't too bad!! And the Bathroom suite, it was clean but i'll bet it's not been modenised since 1980!!" (3304410511)
