"The staff at the Fitzpatrick Castle are extremely helpful, friendly and professional. I love the attention to detail and the luxurious feel to the hotel." (99014332)
The hotel has a distinct character of its own, it made such a pleasant change to be able to stay in such a homely and comfortable hotel that has managed to totally avoid the 'corporate feel' common to so many hotels.

"The management and reception area staff were highly professional, friendly and helpful in suggesting day trips and local restaurants." (3304434734)
The initial room selected for us was overlooking the parking lot and unsatisfactory. The hotel staff was extremely accommodating in effecting a most satisfactory change.

"A maarvellous time ( wedding ) It was everyhring we would have wanted and would return to the hotel should we need to travel to the area again in future." (3304499870)

"A little too far from city but a lovely, peaceful hotel set in own grounds. Needed a less expensive breakfast option - tea and toast or crossant in bar for 5 euros would have done us. Why not on offer? Bar menu contained no dessert I would have liked this. Afternoon Tea was excellent though." (3304174264)
Facilities excellent
Food expensive in the hotel and for the room price should have included breakfast. 16 (continental) or 19.50( irish ) euros is not good value for breakfast.

"Doireanne on reception was extremely helpful as was the bar man on duty in the Library bar on the night of Friday June 9th. I deducted points for the working order of facilities, as the steam room was out of order which would be a priority for me and one of the lifts was also out of order. The view from our room 505 was fantastic, overlooking the bay to the right and the city and mountains to the left. Parking was no problem whatsoever. Check in was swift and courteous. The food was beautiful." (3304297787)

"Our stay was very enjoyable. We met up with family who live close to the hotel and the hotel was very convenient for this. The hotel is situated in a lovely area with good views of the bay and our room faced the sea with a balcony. It is 34 years since we visited Ireland and that was only for a couple of days. This visit made us want to return some day. Thank you" (3304164020)
The accommodation was as advertised. The staff were friendly but professional.
We had a problem in room 507 with the lighting. The lights operated via one main switch which then allowed the bathroom, bedside lights and spot lights in the main room to be turned on. There was no way to use the bedside lights without the spot lights therefore we had to turn the bedside lights off at the main switch (otherwise we had spot lights on all night). This meant that if we needed to get up in the night - there was no bedside light to do this. Could someone check this?

"We were warmly welcomed on arrival. Registration was speedy and efficient. The staff in general were very helpful and friendly. THE EARLY BIRD DINNER MENUS REPRESENTED EXCELLENT VALUE BUT COULD HAVE BEEN CHANGED MORE RADICALLY FROM DAY TO DAY. The food was cooked beautifully and presented very attractively. We would definitely return and would recommend it to friends." (2866147)
Very high standard of comfort and cleanliness. Facilities in the room were very good.
A fridge in the room would have been welcome. We felt breakfast was overpriced at 19 Euros.

"Would like to know what facilities are available, Maybe something about the area ie Dalkey and places to eat or visit. How long it should take to drive, etc" (2217803)
Plenty of room. Everything was clean. Liked the swimming pool.
There is nothing I can think of that would improve the hotel

"Very good except for the noise in the morning, this was probably only a once off, but would recommend the hotel" (1853940)
Very good atmospher
The proximity of one of the cleaning stores or something to room 518 (our room)noise seemed a bit excessive from 9am in the morning.

"il letto rispetto ad altri alberghi era un po' strettino e l'armadio per gli abiti è, per usare un vostro vocabolo, inadeguato. Il prezzo mi è sembrato un po' alto forse si fanno pagare la faccenda del castello..." (3304659055)
la colazione non era prevista e comunque costava 19 euro. ovviamente non ci hanno mai visti...per i pasti non saprei non ci siamo nemmeno informati
il parco e la posizione sono belli

"This was our 3rd visit to the wonderful FitzPatrick Castle Hotel, and we enjoy it more with each stay! We loved our room with the seaviews, and the pool/spa is the greatest we've seen anywhere! This time, we also discovered a wonderful park very close by, called Victoria Hill, where the sweeping views are well worth the walk up to the top, and there are many walking paths to choose from. Then back in time for a Guinness in the Library Bar, followed by tasty dinner down in the Dungeon restaurant....Thanks again, and we'll see you next summer! Brian and Debbie (from Belfast and Phoenix, Arizona, USA)" (3304627571)
Our beautiful 5th floor room and sea views! Oh, and the wonderful pool and spa!!
Only that the bed wasn't very comfortable :-(
