The building, the staff. location, little touchs in the room such as the fruit and nibbles and the toiletries in the bathroom and the swimming pool in the basement. Quiet, warm and comfortable
For the money I would have expected breakfast to be part of the deal, to be charged for individual items for breakfast was both expensive and silly. 25Euros was way over the top.

"More like an up-market Bed and Breakfast than a 4 Star Hotel. Breakfast was good but too expensive at 25 Euros a head." (97447051)
Proximity to town centre and parking

"Very good calm hotel - nice and clean with excellent facilities. The night porters explanation and walk through of champagne - the brands, region and history made this stay even more special." (97091984)
The room and hotel had a very nice feeling. The nightporter took the time to explain everything abour champagne and the area which made it a very interesting stay.
It could be a bit less expensive.

"Excellent accomodation but a 20 minute walk from the main restaurant area of Reims. Surprised that a hotel without a restarant can warrant 4 stars! There is a restaurant facility on the premises for breakfast, why not offer some form of evening meal?" (99179702)

"The hotel is situated in the centre of Reims within walking distance of cafes, restaurants and shopping. The staff were friendly and helpful even though we were staying for one night only. The entrance to the hotel parking is tricky for anything but the smallest vehicle but then valet parking is offered free of charge." (99880913)
Hotel met our request for a really quiet room and recommended an excellent local restaurant for dinner which we would not have found as tourists
Decor eccentric

it was very kitcsh but in a nice way. fruit and snacks were complimentary in the room
breakfast was a fixed charge of €25 each which we thought was way too much when my boyfriend only had a coffee and a criossant. this was not explained and meant that our stay worked out very expensive

"Breakfast was not included in the price and although it was delightful and very elegantly presented with waitress service, we all felt 25 euros per head was a little expensive for continental breakfast." (3304846354)
It was like visiting a grand country house. Very quirky and individual. Staff were very attentive and helpful without being intrusive.
We would have loved to use the pool but in June the poolside atmosphere was too hot. However, in the winter it must be fantastic.

"We had a fabulous time. The hotel is decorated in victorian era furnishings. Each room is different in decor. There is also a small convenience store around teh corner if you need anything last minute. The location was a 5 minute taxi to the centre of town and about a 15 minute walk. Close to Eparnay, another beautiful region of France!" (3304831421)
The staff was very friendly and gave helpful advice, got us taxis swiflty, booked fabulous reservation for dinner at Le Continental and it was clean! Valet parking and overall was a fabulous quite hotel with great service! Book a maasage in adavance. It was the best massage I have ever had!!
The parking driveway is very tight so be careful if you drive. The accomodations are a bit unclear onteh website. There is a pool but no true SPA. The hotel has a sauna and a turkish bath in the indoor pool area.

the extremely friendliness of staf, efficeincy, the small details in the rooms

"This is a high quality, friendly, local hotel. Best for leisure trips as it does not have great business facilities. Breakfast was excellent although a little pricey at Eur 25 per person. Hotel has its own off-street parking. Located close to the city centre; a great base for guests in Reims on a tour of the Champagne houses." (3304527570)
Very comfortable. Highly personal service. Very helpful staff.
No easy internet access except via front desk. Bathrooms were a little tight.

"Hotel practically empty so a little lonely! (Early April) Nice and peaceful, Swimming pool area needs refurbishing. Decided not to have breakfast due to early start but persuaded by staff to have one tea and one coffee before departure - this came to 9 Euros! Excellent dinner at Le Foch restaurant (100 Euros for 2) might stay there again although it's away from the heart of the city" (2065147)

"Directions to the hotel or a map would have been helpful. Swimming pool could have done with a clean as the rest of the hotel was lovely. Staff were great. Towels were changed every time they were used. very central to restaurants and bars and champagne houses were also close. No restaurant at the hotel." (1461705)
the staff at the hotel were fantastic, very friendly and helpful. Very impressive service.
price of the breakfast was expensive.

"A nice hotel with a welcoming interior that is a bit too pricy compared with the overall experience. More a very good 3-star hotel than a good 4-star. The staff is pleasant, but so are most staffs." (2684456)
Parking Gratuit, l'ambience de l´hotel, la femme qui travaille dans la reception qui etait tres agréable.
As my french is so poor I'll take this in english, Expensive breakfast compared with the overall experience, small and expensive minibar (small=few choises),

location - friendly staff
don't have non-smoking rooms, so the smell stays in the lavish fabrics. No nibbles, or when asked, very poor quality, wiht the champagne in the bar. Overall too expensive, certianly not the quality of a 4 or 5 star hotel.
