"we were not really expecting much, because of the price but a general style of cleanliness would have been nice, and somebody ought to tell the staff that politeness and manners cost nothing.the chap behind the bar was offensive when telling us that we could not have a drink and then carried on to give his friends one.the bathroom was mouldy and there were only two towels, and we had no coffee or milk on our hospitality tray. all in all a great disappointment." "Favourable - a reasonable and pleasant 'budget hotel'." (107194980)
Receptionist was helpful and gave me good information on where to buy a newspaper and catch a bus into city. Pleasant decour and ambiance in ground floor lounge and dining area. Availability of adequate parking onsite was very much a consideration before making a booking. Also ability to be able to walk to/from City centre from hotel.
Service road outside front of hotel was noisy due to tipper trucks trundling past early morning onwards

The Hotel location was great, only a £4 taxi ride away from Swansea center also plenty of parking spaces. stayed in a twin room and it was a good size with on suite bathroom which was basic but nice with a power shower. continental breakfast is well worth the £5.50. staff are very friendly and helpful
room window didn`t open but mentioned it to reception and was sorted out as the rooms do get warm.

"Very good - and superior to our not infrequent stays in Ibis hotels in France. We have been unimpressed with Ibis in Provence (ordinary to noisy), happy in Belgium (Waterloo) and overcharged in Calais . . . There was a feel-good factor in Swansea but the Friday night meals did leave a little to be desired. Breakfast was excellent and you are to be congratulated on this." (99300090)
The shower room was the best I have ever seen in an hotel : the walk-in shower was just like being at home !
There was a tear in the arm of the sofa and the desk was badly scratched : this gave an immediate impression of scruffiness.

"The restarant choices were poor, the drinks selection was poor I have stayed in smaller hotels with higher standards and lower prices. This is the first hotel I have stayed in for over 6moths not to offer free wifi to customers. The overall impression I have of this hotel is that every opportunity was taken to screw money out of the customer instead of offering any value for money. The Mcdonalds next door provided the free wifi all I had to do was buy a cup of tea that was bigger better value for money than what you provided." (97996728)
It was a basic hotel the room was reasonable but lacked character the choice of TV channels was very bad.
Very clinical and the place seemed cold

"All though I was a single occupancy in a 'double room' I felt very welcome. The Ibis in Fabian way Swansea is much better than the Premier Inn I had stayed in earlier in the week. This was my third stay here and I will definately use the facility again; and recommend it to my collegues. I must say that is (Swansea) Ibis is much better than the one in Plymouth." (97139013)
well arranged room. Easy to use my lap-top to catch up on some work. Sensible 'wet room' type shower. Well organised lighting.

"It was fantastic. The hotel is very close to the sea, and at a short distance from the city centre. The staff were very friendly and effective. The dining lounge was very relaxing and we could stay there just contemplating the view or reading the newspaper. The room was warm (this is very important for foreigners like me and my wife) and with a comfortable bed (also very important after a long drive). We like IBIS very much and have stayed in several IBIS hotels, including the local one in Hull. We always know what we get for our money and there is never dissapointment." (97036434)

"This was an excellent hotel, good friendly staff. Good rooms and well cared for. The hotel itself is too far away from the centre of Swansea unless you are a good walker but only 5 minutes in the car as the hotel information states. Exactly what was said on the brochure and I was well pleased with all elements of the hotel including the location, ease of access to the local motorway and car parking." (97652667)
Clean tidy good size room and bathroom, excellent.

"Useful facility. Location semi-industrial rather than scenic, 'tho that may change as the SA1 development explosion gets nearer. Rooms at back quieter than those overlooking main road. Hotel very similar to other Ibis establishments. Reception good & helpful. The lounge/restaurant area is as other Ibis - did seem sparce & uninviting, reinforced as there is little local alternative. Lounge temperature cold & food service very slow, despite few guests at hotel. Reasonably close to town centre. Don't be misled by the SA1 postcode -- it was an unattractive 25min walk to the Waterfront Museum, & probably 30mins to the main shopping centre. Wind St restaurants about 20 mins-25 mins walk. Directly opposite Park & Ride, so that bus could be useful for downtown. Parking in town limited, & can be expensive. Ibis/Accor frequent visitor card poor value. I do much better from Marriott points. Overall, you get what you expect if you have used Ibis before. Workmanlike, rather than intimate. Decent room, clean & tidy, limited facilities, OK room rate but incidentals add up. This location particularly impacted by relative isolation from alternative cafes/pubs/restaurants. Best suited as low-cost, central, business venue - rather than for leisure travellers." (97005462)
Convenient, easy parking. Room usual Ibis style -- predictable & reliable.
Limited menu, & few local alternatives, unless you like McDonalds... Internet access now very expensive compared to competitors - we got free wi-fi at lower cost establishments during same week.

Only niggle could have done with a couple of hand towels only bath towels available, a very agreeable overnight stay. would book here again." (97692156)

"Overall my stay was fine and everything was much as I expected. The only matter that was a real problem was not being able to look at my email on hotmail" (97629592)
good value for money, cheaper than premier travelodge and similar establishmnets with very imilar facilities and in certain instances better facilities
In the bathroom the water did not drain away well leaving a very wet floor. the door is hinged so could not be left open to allow the bathroom the evaporate off, also the extractor did not work leading to a build up of steam. The internet in the public area is almost useless as it is so 'locked down' it does not allow you to contact popular email sites like hotmail.

"A perfectly adequate hotel at a reasonable price. It is easily accessible by car. Staff were pleasant and we intend to use it again." (97578739)
Good value for money. Easy to get to. Car Park. Comfortable enough. Breakfast was good value. Meals looked good though we arrived after eating - we might well eat in next time.
Bed sheet was grubby looking, widely speckled with grey droplet stains. We presumed the sheet was fresh but it looked unpleasant. We brought it to the attention of staff (young man on late shift) who gave us what he thought was a clean sheet to put on (It turned out to be a duvet cover.). We simply used the new duvet cover as a sheet. No real problem but it would be good to take more care to avoid stained sheets when servicing rooms! Bathroom soap too small, I am sure you could provide a slightly bigger tablet of soap which is easie to handle. Other bathroom provision was minimal but adequate provided the shower gel does not run out. Our (satellite) TV had only a limited number of the free channels and did not, for example, provide BBC 24 hour news channel offering only a Welsh Language channel. I am sure it is right to have Welsh channels available but BBC 24 is popoular UK-wide.

Bathroom was good, particularly the shower. The tea making facilites and tv were also good.
The room was advertised as a family room. However with 1 child in a sofa bed and a travel cot it was very crowded. We could only move around the room by climbing over the beds. When we arrived the staff were only expecting two adults and were very unhelpful.
