"The hotel was of an adequate standard of comfort." (97187316)

The lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Toilet which was clean but discoloured. There was no water supply to the hand basin in the hotel lobby toilet.

"The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was fine but the decorative state of the room was poor with paint peeling from the bathroom ceiling." (3304347058)

Location of the hotel is good.

Decorative standard of the room was poor, although it was clean.

This hotel is good value for money. It is easy to get to from the train station. It is close to major attractions. The room is clean and spacious. The staffs are nice. I recommend this hotel to whoever read this comment.

It might be hot during the hot summer months as there is no A/C.

"Overall good value for money considering we were in the centre. Staff were great and very helpful with maps etc.Rooms were quite small and very hot. Fitments were OK but on their last legs. Fridge did not work. Only minor faults. I would consider staying again." (3304925927)

Great location close to the city.

Staff were great but topping up fo breakfast items needed chasing. No coffee, then no juice then no croissants. but everything came eventually. One of our towels in the bathroom had already been used .

"Rouen is a friendly city as is this hotel, which is well-placed; we've stayed here many times. Rouen est une ville accueillante cette hôtel (qui est bien située) aussi; nous sommes y restés beaucoup de fois." (107100192)

Bien située pour tous les sites touristiques; facile à trouver; parking assez proche In sight of the cathedral; well-placed for exploring the town, shops and restaurants; easy to find off the A28 from Calais; pleny of parking nearby

    No lift/elevator/ascenseur

"buy a local map of Rouen first, it makes it a lot easier to find. we had a 79 yr old parent with us and with no lift the 3rd floor was a long way up...ok for a nights transit" (3304922841)

    newly decorated

    shower was miniscule

"We found The Notre Dame Hotel was perfect for our overnight stop in Rouen. Cheerful, friendly staff make all the difference when you have been travelling for long hours and are tired. Thank you for making the first night of our holiday a pleasant one!" (3304224271)

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was basic but bed was comfortable and the hotel was spotless. The hotel is also close to all the amenities. We would certainly stay there again if we were in Rouen for a short stay.

    No complaints.

"Hotel was adequate for our purpose but I do not think that the breakfast room was adequately resourced. On our second morning we had to ask for cold and hot milk, bowls & plates. There were also no teabags available and bread was not covered and therefore became hard at the edges quickly. Whilst reception staff were happy to replace items we felt that one person should have been allocated this job anyway." (3304613094)

    Convenient position to local attractions

Staff on reception were raher distant. We felt that they were perhaps overworked. Chamber maids were extremely helpful

"I would have liked to have known that there was no elevator. One member of our group was 80 years old and going up the steps was a little difficult for him. It would have been nice, too, to know that the hotel did not have its own parking and that parking was going to have to be an extra expense." (2603418)

Clean, well-furnished. Staff was very helpful.

"very central. easy to find. no private parking, plenty pay parking near but might have to drive around a bit. free parking on sundays, parked the car right outside the hotel door. double beds in france very small. best to book twin rooms. our room had a very small bathroom with a tiny shower cubicle, our friend's room had a good size bathroom with a bath. the street was very quiet at night, even with the window open. The reception staff friendly and helpful. tv very disappointing no english, no news." (2846119)

    very central

decor, repaint rooms in lighter colour

"The standard of facilities such as the basic bathroom cleanliness and working order and security should be a given. In this hotel the general staff attitude seems blase about all these claiming that there is nothing they can do about it and refused to accept responsibility. The so called customer service is non existance in this hotel. After complaining to the management of the hotel , I was met by the same attitude by the so called 'general manager'of the hotel. When he was informed that my room was left open by the cleaner and my watch was missing - I was met by a big laugh by him and he kept on laughing for a while ( I am not sure what was funny about being a victim of a crime especially in his hotel). I was told to go to the police station to report the crime and there is nothing the hotel can do and they refuse to accept responsibility of the fact that the cleaner left my room wide open was the cause of my watch being stolen. I seriously advise you not to advertise this hotel so that others will not have to go through what I went through." (2220922)

    Nothing

The hotel was dirty and the sercis is aappaling for even for 2 star hotel Reception does not speak a word of English, the bathroom was blocked and my room was burgled !

L'accueil est agréable et très souriant. Le double vitrage est extrêmement efficace et nous avons passé une nuit au calme." (1840996)

Bien situé, très calme, chambre claire et de bon goût, excellent petit-déjeuner
