    "Pleased." (97482835)

    Warm welcome Clean

Booking by internet is usually cheaper, in most hotels, than at the counter - not so here. Breakfast could be included to give value for money.

"A vary enjoyable three night stay, would return very happily. A typical, friendly and clean traditional French hotel." (107133682)

Friendliness of staff and willingness to help; language abilities.

Room size little small, noisy air conditioning, small en-suite area.

"Another room may be better but can't fault the staff." (107298439)

Alain (the manager) is the primary asset. Knowledgable, welcoming and helpful. Good fresh coffee and fruit at breakfast.

Standard twin room very sparse, with cramped ensuite and shower so small you couldn't help turning it off as you moved.

Owners very friendly and helpful. Spoke extremely good english and provided a map and advised places of interest to visit. Plentiful continental breakfast in the morning.

If I had to say anything, there was no view from the window.

"Not for those who are intolerant of the idiosyncrasies of small two and three star independent hotels, but good value and perfectly ok for a short stay." (97547291)

Friendly and helpful manager. Central location and easy to find, which is useful when you're navigating a city for the first time. Excellent breakfast. Efficient air con.

We used the lift to take our bags up to our room, and when the doors shut the lights went out and the lift didn't move for a few seconds. No harm done, but it was disconcerting. The lights on the stairs and in corridors are on timers and you need to be quick on your feet to avoid feeling your way in the dark. A solid door on the toilet would be a lot better than the folding arrangement currently in place.

"Overall, was very good value for money, especially as Perpignan itself very expensive, great base for Rugby League fans, quiet at night, but just 5 minutes to town centre. I will definitely be staying here again next year." (97272102)

Very handy for town centre, friendly helpful owners, spoke good english, good basic facilities - `TV, ensuite, had balcony view where you could see the mountains, the castle, and the world go by.

Room very basic, a bit musty until opened windows, shower very small, but was functional.

"Exceptionally pleasant and helpful proprietors. It obviously really mattered to them that we enjoyed our stay, which we did very much. A word of warning concerning transport by taxi from the airport to the hotel - the taxi fare should only cost about 17 Euros. We had the misfortune to be taken by an unscrupulous taxi driver who charged us 30 Euros. It's a good idea to check with the driver before you get in the taxi how much he's going to charge!" (97879046)

Very spacious, clean and comfortable room, with lots of natural light - three large windows with views onto the pyrenees. Clean towels every day

one very minor point - some of the towels are beginning to wear a bit thin!

"If you're looking for a cheap and cheerful hotel right in the centre of town with really helpful staff then you could do a lot worse - I stayed at the Hotel de France the previous time I was in Perpignan and I much prefer the Aragon. I needed somewhere central with a good wifi connection - this place met my needs and more. Parking was a bit awkward at times. The rooms could possibly do with a lick of paint, but for the price I won't knock it. The couple that run the place are it's best asset. They could speak French, English and Spanish (the guy told me he used to be an English teacher) and they were always friendly and helpful with suggestions for places to go. They even patiently put up with my awful French and kept their French at a level (and speed) I could understand. Will definitely stop there again on future returns to Perpignan." (97401800)

Very convenient to drive to from the Airport - good location if you want to be in town. The best thing about this Hotel are the people who run it - truly wonderful people.

My room seemed to be near the elevator motor, so that did get a bit annoying at times.

"I can't complain too much. I would have liked to have been a bit closer to the middle of town, but at the same time Perpignan is small and easily accessible by foot. The Hotel was just what we needed. When we travel we don't need much, but it had just the right amount of luxury for the budget. I would recommend the breakfast, it was very nice, especially during a church holiday because many cafes and shops are closed. The hotel staff was fantastic. It was clean and simply decorated. Easy to find, there is a sign on the main street pointing you the way. We had a nice stay here. We were able to leave our luggage before check-in and after check out in a cupboard near the reception. A nice place, no problems." (97972056)

The owners of the hotel were so nice and knowledgeable about the city and the area. They were always willing to help and offer advice. The breakfast at the hotel was a good deal for the amount of food you get. We had a nice view of the mountains.

No tub in the bathroom. Otherwise not much was disagreeable. We enjoyed ourselves there.

The hotel owner was very friendly and informative, the breakfast was simple but fresh produce ( the best croissants we have ever tasted)" (97081042)

    Very clean and tidy,

    No tea/coffee making facillities.

"The secret of the hotels' success was that it was a 'family' run hotel and not too large. Although near a busy road this was not audible. 10 minutes from the town centre and railway station/airport shuttle stop. Overall I could not have made a better choice. And the value was excellent. Highly recommended." (97974660)

Everything! The room was well appointed, clean, everything worked (including air conditioning). The owners/staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. The breakfast (extra) was extermely good value.
