"Also after we departed on the Sunday, the hotel then tried to take money out of our account on the Monday, because they said we stayed Sunday, which we did not, so the whole experience was terrible. I will not be staying in this hotel again. We booked this in advance, and we were also charged an extra £20.00 on top of our quote which we took with us, they still charged us an extra £20.00. So in all I was not very happy with our stay." (97944581)

The room was very small for a family room, and we were given a room that had a connecting door, which we asked to change and was told we could not. unfortunately we were next to a couple of girls who were noisy and brought men back to their room and had a bit of a rave up next door to us. I was so upset because we had my daugter staying in our room.

Our room and toilet was very clean.

The room could have been bigger as we had a extra bed in the room, but overall it was great.

The rooms were amazing, lovely looking and extremely spacious.

The only downfall was the price-but it was New years eve so the price does tend to go up. However, we have stayed there in October too and the price then is extremely reasonable.

"Very good. Only problem at the moment is roadworks in Swansea town centre, which makes getting to the hotel car park very difficult!" (97403389)

    Clean, tastefully decorated, well equipped.

At front of hotel so lot of noise from the street if one wanted to sleep with the window open.

(97330918)

    Location, parking

Only one comment, I didn't see a shower mat for the bath, I'm always afraid of slipping!! - room a little warm.

"The only criticism being the cost of breakfast. Over £8 for a bowl of cereal and a cup of tea is rather too much!" (97640575)

Convenient location ie close to railway station and centre of town

  • 9/10 Mike (Family with older children)

"This is a good, well positioned hotel, good accommodation but everything other than the room is expensive - breakfast, room service, internet access, bar drinks etc. - everything is priced high so suggest you use the hotel for accommodation only and go elsewhere for everything else - eg. local internet cafe & Wind St. for bars, food etc." (99019224)

Nice room, good bathroom, clean & tidy hotel. Aircon was great.

"We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were excellent and helpful. The car parking is a bit of a squeeze (good job we have a small car). The directions require changing as there has been some extensive regeneration in this area, to the better, so the directions are out of date. Ideal location for shopping (so my wife says!)" (99521393)

Nice centrally located hotel, the staff were excellent and the swimming pool was very good. Overall very good.

The Hotel was very clean and the rooms were very comfortable. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We stayed with our 19mth old daughter and the hotel high chairs were clean which hasn't be the case in other hotels i have stayed in!!

The travel cot that we had in our room seemed to be broken and a little unstable.

"Although checkout was not until midday, we were disturbed twice by cleaners coming into the room while we were still trying to sleep. Also the fire alarm was being tested during the morning which made it impossible to sleep. I would of thought that the afternoon would have been a more considerate time to do this work. It would also of been nice to know that demolition work was being carried out in front of the hotel and to have been asked whether we would of prefered a room at the rear. It would have been good to have known that the hotel restaurant was going to be closed on the night of our visit before we booked as well." (99426342)

    late checkout, 12.00

    noisy

Refurbishment has obviously improved the hotel & it's good for the price, but not luxury in overall terms

"The perfect place to stay in Swansea, polite helpful staff. Great room, great facilities. Only annoyance the self serve breakfast was stupidly overpriced, at nearly £15 I would have expected it to be served, not self service. Will use the Dragon again." (99146638)

    Comfy, clean, modern, quiet

Very delicate interiour, comfortable beds and fine breakfast room.

That reception lacked information on opening hours for main attractions like The Dylan Thomas Centre!

"The room was a reasonable size and tastefully furnished and decorated in a boutique hotel style. Room service was friendly and prompt and breakfast was good. The car park can be diffcult to find as the centre of Swansea is changing, with many one-way routes, but the hotel staff are very helpful if you call." (99216870)

It was simple, attractive, modern and clean. The bathroom and shower were good.

    Good shower and wash products

Small issues: Very noisy airconditioning/heating and no extra blankets, one thin pillow each, TV was not tuned in properly on some channels, had to fiddle with the lock to get into our room, and asked for a newspaper to be left outside the room (a service which they offer) but they forgot

    from Basingstoke , United Kingdom;GB on  December 18, 2006

"The hotel is well located and is an impressive, modern building. The room had all necessary facilities. Unfortunately the experience was spoiled by there being too few staff on reception and in the restaurant, by being allocated a very smelly smoking room after specifying non-smoking in my booking, cuasing me to feel unwell, and by small items of lack of attention such as delivering my newspaper to the wrong room and safety warning signs being located in a hazardous position." (99097799)

Decor was bright and modern. Room had all necessary facilities.

I was placed in a smelly smoking room after specifying non-smoking, causing me a sore throat. Fire exit signs on corridor ceilings were very low, causing me an injury. Insufficient staff on reception. Hotel restaurant was small and over-busy, with no choice of menu (Christmas set meal only).
