"The hotel had a very friendly atmosphere. The room was clean although could use some redecoration and the bed was pretty old. There was a broken mirror in the room when we arrived and had to ask for that to be taken out which it was the next day; it was not replaced though. But that said we would stay again." (107183775)

"When you looking on the pictures on internet site it seems like the hotel been done in style of 70's. It's true but nobody make any makeover since that time." (107133024)
Cheap
Room was not very clean bathroom as well. There was a big mark on the duvet cover.

"If we could have found somewhere else, within our budget we would not have stayed. It was certainly not worth £50 per night." (107278727)
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The extremely rickety bed held up and did not collapse in a heap..(very grateful for that)
The run down quality of the fixtures and furniture. The remnants of previous guests arguments on the walls...i.e. what looked like a coffee stain on the wall above the bed.

"Reasonably happy until payment." (107262618)
Breakfast was good and served early to allow for traffic. Room was small but adequate
Tried to cancel one night but was told by staff that as I had booked through Active 7 days was required, therefore I had to pay for the last night even though I was not there. Tried to make me pay for phone call I had not made even though I showed them my mobile phone to prove I would not need to use the room phone.

"I was very well received, and the hotel served my need for somewhere to overnight, but had I needed to be rested the next day, the paper thin walls would not have allowed for an undisturbed night's sleep." (97693520)
The bathroom was apparently very clean.
The bed sagged in the middle, the duvet cover and curtains had cigarette burns, the walls were paper thin.

there was no hairdryer in my room which i told reception about before we went out. When we returned the receptionist had got me one which I thought was very efficient and helpful.
the very steep hill you had to climb at the end of the night not ideal for people with walking difficulties

"This is a great location but there are others nearby. Competitive rates but breakfast was only fair. (Canned fruit salad, instant coffee.) Service was not overly cheerful or friendly. Hotel was kind of dowdy but the beds were comfy, linen was clean, room was made up daily, coffee/tea maker in room. All the basics, no frills. No ice, no elevator, no smiles." (97923358)
The location, large and clean bathroom, windows that open, rooms fairly large.
smelly, older room, furniture cheap, no services other than breakfast No lift.Difficult entrance with large bags.

"a mistake had been made - the room hadn't been cleaned since the last guest stayed! However the situation was not able to be rectifyed as there was only one member of staff on reception & all other rooms were fully booked & hotels too, got clean linen & towels though and thankfully a full refund. Stayed in this hotel the previous week and everything was excellent then, but wouldn't stay again because of the above." (99300761)

"For a budget stay in Glasgow, I would certainly recommend this hotel." (99354732)
The accommodation, whilst being fairly basic was clean and tidy and the staff were helpful. There is space for a nice patio to the rear of the hotel which would be lovely to relax in if garden seating was provided!
I think the hotel is probably a bit off the beaten track for the elderly, this part of the city has some steep hills to climb.

Its locality and nearness to centre
No lift to top floor expecially with baggage to carry up, television had bad reception, could do with a bit more detail to cleanliness though, a good spring clean and attention to detail
