    "Please note that it is quite difficult to find and the parking is a pain, but the accommodation is first class. Had a hiccup with the room service (took over an hour to get served) but other than that the stay was first class." (97933050)

    "This is my second time to stay at this hotel. I have alwys found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to a superior room free of charge which I thought was a nice touch. The hotel is in an ideal location, just five minutes from both the train station and the centre of town. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone and I will deinitely stay there again." (107277905)

    Very efficient, friendly and helpful hotel with very good facilities

    Not a bad point but I might suggest in the instruction/helpful notes book there be the IP address for the internet connection. I had some difficulty connecting and it would have been a great help to have the hotel's connection settings available.

    nearly 20 minutes to get a drink served from bar to table!!!!! no parking.. but didnt mind paying for consierge to park car. nearly charged for mini bar items we didn`t have..mini bar not checked before we arived

    Very good service, beautiful hotel and excellent value for money

    Hard to find it on the internet, perhaps try to optimise your search engine. Also the booking form was not a simple Mecure website had to use an agency. Also the spa was not open when it said it was. A little disappointed but generally pleased with all the facilities

    "Overall this is one of the best hotels ive stayed in.The breakfast was lovely and so was the room.Its very convenient and the winter gardens joining onto the hotel are a lovely place to sit and relax.The staff are brilliant and very friendly. Loved it." (97446667)

    Straight away at check in the lady was very friendly and throughout the stay the staff were excellent.Loved the restaurant and bar area the way they are attached to the winter gardens.Room was great lovely and clean and quite big compared to other rooms ive stayed in.Excellent hotel and hope to stay again when i take a trip to Sheffield later this year.

    Leisure facilities

    Poor selection of vegetarian options on the restaurant menu, such that I had to eat in an external restaurant. Shower in the room was not particularly clean.

    lovely friendly hotel, rooms spacious, comfortable, clean with lovely views over the peace gardens. Breakfast expensive so did not book

    only 2 bad points during stay, ice bucket was mouldy but staff did bring us fresh ones immediately and hair dryer was poor only blowing cold air

    Good value for the price in the U.K. It is unusual to find a hotel with a pool/spa for that value.

    Difficult to find...why does Sheffield not have street signs? Not the hotel's fault, but Sheffield is awful. Also, parking situation is silly...hotels should validate parking and not charge 1/4 of the room rate for same. Breakfast at 15 pounds also dreadfully overpriced.

On this occasion, twice in one afternoon, members of staff entered the room when it was occupied, once without knocking, the second time at 6.45 pm to check the minibar - why was this necessary?     "Ordered room service for cheese 'selection' and biscuits for £7, only two types of cheese were provided and the biscuits were stale! I thought this was shocking for a 4* hotel. Wouldn't eat anything else at the hotel on this basis so had to venture out for breakfast. Also the double bed was very small." (97169149)

    I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Mecure St Paul's Hotel in Sheffield. The hotel and rooms were of a very high standard and the staff were very helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

    The spa was great. The rooms were of a very good standard.

    Parking wasn't easy. The consierge was slow. I opted for valet parking although he did move/deliver the car eventually!!

    "very disappointed, compared to last few visits. Room running over an hour late had to sit in bar for 1hour. Once in room cleanliness not to ussual standards. No biscuits/flapjacks in room, only enough coffee and milk for one cup. Bed sheet stained. Staff as always very helpfull and friendly." (97814980)

    "Overall the one night stay was good. My only gripe is that it was not too obvious when booking on line there there was no hotel parking and the parking spaces for unloading where full, but no one checking in!, this meant driving around looking for somewhere to park not aware until actually booking in that there was a deal with an NCP nearby" (97577365)

    Good room with view over Sheffield. Plenty of space, bright and airy.

    Lovely separate walk in shower, but shower pressure was a disappointment.

    "Only thing i have to say bad about the place was the Fire alarm going off at 2.15am as a false alarm and then again at 2.20am and this went on for about 10 minutes and was very loud in room not the best way to be woke up." (97957452)

    Accommodation was spot on adn couldnt really fault it very fast check in and check out brilliant stay.

    View was nice. Shower was great- huge!

    My mattress had several plastic wall plugs and other building debris between it and the sheet which made for an uncomfortable nights sleep - I mentioned it to the receptionist but she was not at all bothered.

    "The hotel was easy to find and when we arrived, the staff were very friendly and polite. The room was not only spacious but was supplied with all the essentials such as an iron and hairdryer. The pool and spa facilities were of the highest standard and extremely hygienic. The fragranced shower inparticular was amazing! I did not use the hotel restaurants or bar but they both looked very impressive and would definitely try them on my next visit! Check out was hassle free and the staff remained as friendly and polite as they had been on arrival. A very enjoyable experience!" (97191628)

    "Good sized quiet room with view over the square to the town centre; friendly and approachable staff. Only 2 minutes walk from the shops and theatres! The swimming pool was large, clean, quiet and never busy - a great way to relax after a long journey. Will definitely use this hotel again when next up on business. Good hotel for business women."     Good room, excellent service from all the staff, positioned right in the town centre, 2 minutes walk from the shops and theatres! Great swimming pool.

    The Room Service menu did not have any light meals on the menus, so if eating late at night your choice was Cod & Chips, Steak and Ale pie, pizza and chips or something similar. However, the staff in the kitchen where very helpful and willing to provided a light meal, provided they could adapt any of the Room Service meals.
