    "quite happy and enjoyable" (108061134)

Lovely location and as per the booking information

Net curtians in the room needed some attention. Carpet stained, doesn't bother the guys but not so the ladies

  • 6/10 Mark ( Mature couple)

from Bristol , GB  on  July 1, 2008

    Clean, nice food

Internet talks about TV having sky channels and the hotel having a sun bed. None of these available.

    Clean, well furnished

  • 8/10 Anonymous ( Family with young children)

The friendly staff and the pleasing location.

The lift did not work consistently. We were on the second floor with a 14 month old and a buggy, which we would have to lug up the stairs frequently.

"The stay was generally very good. There was only one problem which was that the water was cold for the morning showers." (97761455)

    Good service.

  • 7/10 George ( Young couple)

from Colchester , GB  on  July 8, 2007

"The world renowned friendly Irish customer service was not in evidence at reception or in the restaurant. The experience in the restaurant for the evening meal was not great - the waiting staff were unattentive and disinterested when we had a problem with our meal. Overall the stay was ok but not outstanding." (99480393)

Room was comfortable and well equipped.

No view out of the window!

  • 10/10 Peter ( Mature couple)

from Sacriston, durham , GB  on  June 21, 2007

"The main criteria for us are cleanliness and peace and quiet. This hotel provided both and then some. Guest are generally middle aged to older, rooms very well decorated, bathroom lovely, food superb - and I am fussy. It was mid June so perhaps not a peak period, although the hotel seemed full but not manic. My wife and I could not praise this hotel and it's staff enough. It is set in a quiet location, even the bar is attached rather than below so no noise or any interference there. If a quiet, classy, well located hotel is required, with competent, friendly and humorous staff, look no further than the Blarney Woollen Mills." (99606487)

This is the best hotel we have stayed in in 37 years! Room, staff, service, cleanliness all excellent. if they could control the weather it would be perfect!

    nothing

"Generally thought hotel was really nice as were the staff, only dissapointment for me was distance from Cork city but it did state this when booking and bus service was available, so it wasn't really an issue." (99991289)

Good facilities, well presented, friendly and helpful staff, nice setting

  • 8/10 Pauline ( Mature couple)

    from Preston , United Kingdom;GB  on  March 10, 2007

"There was a special rate on offer for 5 nights for over 50s which included 2 evening meals. As the restaurant was fairly expensive and we used it for 3 nights it would have been economical had we known about this deal." (3305330939)

Good size bedroom with both a single and double bed

  • 9/10 Anonymous ( Young couple)

  • 7/10 Sinead ( Young couple)

    from Cork , United Kingdom;GB  on  November 10, 2006

"smallish room, but comfortable and bathroom good size for level of accomodation, good breakfast, dining room comfortable staff friendly, nice peaceful atmosphere and for tourists the woollen mills shop is interesting to stroll around not for those who feel the cold, room was quite chilly, early nov when we stayed, oh and the lift has a tendency to get stuck, but overall we felt it was a good standard for a 3 star hotel (normally staying in 5 stars, I didn't know what to expect but I would stay there again." (99017907)

    Bathroom

some lamps not working, bedding torn in places
