"Fantastic location and a very attractive building. Staff friendly, knowledgeable about the city and attentive to needs. The hotel both benefits and suffers from being an old building of character. Modernisation might compromise the old world feel, but would make guest experiences better" (97088618)
Wonderful building, located in the heart of Lancaster, a short walk from the railway station.
The hotels fixture and decor are adequate and clean, but are showing their age - for example taps which are hard to turn off, missing TV remote controls, decor tired.

"Overall it was fine and boosted considerably by the politeness and helpfulness of the staff" (97956059)
The staff were excellent and very friendly, the location was excellent
The carpark was a nightmare but to be fair we tried to find it ourselves without asking anyone! The room was fine and clean but not great value for money

"We got what we expected in terms of accommodation & value for money. There was little choice by the time we booked. Nothing to complain about; nothing to enthuse about. Would stay there again in similar circumstances." (97648013)
Staff helpful; convenient location
Car park off site. Not much charm.

"It would be much helpful for us to know when the hotel's building constructed. It will helpful for us what the accommodation is, a newer one or an older. In England, there are so many older buildings used as hotels, in where the accommodations are not new and inconvenient, particularly bath rooms have been using since the end of 1800's or the last century. It seems that Jurys Inn is a contemporary business hotel fixed with the newer accommodations. It was a good point for me this time. In Japan almost of all business hotels have such a accommodation although room sizes are a bit smaller than yours." (97034693)

"Car parking is a big problem here. I now know there is a free shuttle bus from the car park but it would have been useful to know this before arrival as there is nowhere to drop off or pick up." (99640837)
Clean, quiet and centrally located
How can you justify £29.85 for breakfast for three? Extortionate!! I only wanted a cup of tea, fruit and yogurt.

Very clean.

i felt an ice machine on every floor was good. the rooms were very neat and tidy and of a good size. staff were very friendly. good size bathrooms

"The general stay at the hotel was enjoyable. However, there was a Christmas party going on in the bar and although I was on the second floor the music was loud enough to be heard clearly. This continued until 1 o'clock, which I considered excessive." (97158050)

"On outskirts of city centre but tram terminus at railway station a five minute walk from hotel so easy to reach centre. Room furnishings new but was minimalist modern i.e. not plush. However sroom and bathroon very clean. Buffet breakfast very good and dinner menu and food quality very good. Nice restaurant but entrance open to reception area across from which was the bar. Lots of very rowdy young men in bar in each evening which encouraged me to eat elsewhere on two of the five nights of my stay." (99388172)
Open views from side of hotel where my room was located
Explanation of how to work air conditioning controls would have been useful and provision of a few more TV channels.

Location, cleaniness and good staff.
Next Room 518, kept being noisy until about 5.30am in the morning , we had a restless night. Night Manager warned them 3 times but didn't make much difference.

Clean room, friendly polite staff, excellent view, very central for the station, welcoming
The room next door was a little noisy-the door to the room banged loudly and they went in and out several times after midnight to get ice from the ice machine! Maybe a slow-close mechanism could be fitted?

I liked the hotel. It was really nice and clean and really close to the station.
There were a lot of parties going on on different floors on the Friday of 22 June. As a result, one of my colleagues had to call the hotel security at 4am. Your hotel is really nice, but some of the clientelle you have seems a bit strange. I am not sure if I would choose to stay there again because of this.

"the worst hotel i have ever stayed in .Customer service very poor did not offer room service as they were short staffed so you have to go collect your food . I ordered food which was cold and did not taste good either. The manager was not very helpfull either she changed our room but was not much use. We ended up going somewere else to eat." (97582577)
the room was clean
the room was very cold the heating was not working took the manager over one hour to see us, then decided to change our room which also was very cold and could not get the heating to work. when you rang reception they would not answer the phone and if they did they would just put you on hold

The hotel is of a high standard of cleanliness and this is evident throughout. Perhaps clearer signposting to rooms could be improved but overall I was very pleased with my stay. Thankyou and well done to the staff involved." (97584468)

"I expected it to be of the same standard as the Jurys Inn group in Ireland and it did not meet our expectations." (99812870)
Its proximity to the city centre and transport facilities.
The self-service at breakfast-everythings was self-service-even making your own tea/coffee. The quality of the food was disappointing, luke-warm and appeared as if it had been on display for some time. Some staff in the breakfast rom were not particularly helpful.

Virtually nothing.
Arrived to find a drunken brawl outside the hotel and had to sit in the car for 30 minutes before we could enter hotel whose entrance is not on the main road. No shuttle to car park and advised to use the station car park and walk back. Attacked by egg throwers on the way. Next morning shuttle driver refused to take me to the station car park as it was not their recommended car park! Little sleep as there is poor sound proofing in the rooms-we could even hear the conversation in the room next door and other guests allowed to be rowdy at 4,5 am.

After asking for a move our second room was spaceous. We liked the view. Decor was pleasant.
Originally I was given a double bed, despite alerting you when I booked that I was sharing with my 18 year old SON! I expected wi-fi, not an outrageously expensive wired network. I thought the bath was of poor design. Choice of tv was very limited, and radio even worse. Set up of tv itself was rather sloppy -- colour etc. Size of the bath was horrible.

The reception area of the hotel is lovely, very clean. Breakfast was also good.
The bed was on wheels, moved around as soon as you sat on it, not very good. The car park not being on site, and having to load up the shuttle with luggage, instead of being able to check your luggage in before taking the car.

"This hotel was perfect for my hen weekend. It was close to the centre and a bus was provided to transport us to and from the carpark. Having the option to have 3 in a room was excellent as no one had to stay in a room on their own and it cut the cost down. I would book again with friends or my partner but I wouldn't recommend it for families at weekends because of the amount of hen and stag parties and the amount of noise throughout the night. Everyone did say they felt safe and was impressed with the quality of the hotel." (99292311)

The soap dispenser was not usable by my wife who is partially disabled and does not have full use of one arm. Anyone of our age and older who might have an athritic or rheumatoid problem with fingers and thumbs would find using the soap dispenser impossible one handed. No shampoos or conditioners available. Only one batht towel between us.

the size of the room was very good and very modern. there was also an ice making machine on the floor which i thought was great.

Hotel was absolutely fine
Room a bit spartan, but that's is being hyper critical
