"The condition of the hotel did not match the description on the website. We booked for three nights but checked out after one night." (107208752)

The room we were first offered had not been cleaned. When we objected we were given another room. It was marginally better but at least it was clean. It was poorly maintained; the toilet seat was broken; the chipboard cupboard was missing a door.

    the staff were friendly enough

well although the room seemed clean, the decor needed doing, it was a bit scruffy.

Unfriendly staff, 100% payment upfront, handwritten receipt, mouldy shower curtain, paper-like duvet, dodgy door locks, tatty decor in places, lack of integrated reception, poor location, uninviting restaurant, colleague's room had no window, suspicious looking clientele, poor value for money.

"This hotel was definately not as described on their own website. It was not 'luxurious', staff were not friendly, breakfast room was a pizza takeaway, rooms were not well equiped. Definately not worth the money, I have stayed in hotels in Islington for much less which were much better quality." (97311873)

Location was good as it was close to Alexandra Palace (I was there for a week for an exhibition).

Cleanliness, service, broken shower, broken light, dirty bed sheets, plug socket hanging off wall, dirty carpet, very small room, holes in wall, noisy, expensive, no soap, one small towel.

"Having stayed in mainly 4* and 5* accomodation in the past, I was very apprehensive about staying in a 1* hotel. I was pleasantly surprised. The room was a decent size, the bed was large and comfortable. The TV was large and the shower was powerful. It was quiet at night and check-out in the morning was easy. I didn't experience breakfast as I had to leave early. Although there is no parking at the hotel, it was easy to find spaces on neighbouring roads." (97498894)

The welcome I received at check-in. The size and standard of the room facilities.

I was on the second floor so did have to lug a heavy suitcase up 2 flights of stairs.

"It was okay but for £68.00 was far too expensive! " (97154946)

Room had a kettle and tea & Coffee.

Left early in the morning at 7.30 am, I made the receptionist aware that this was the time I would be checking-out the previous day. To my frustration the front doors were locked and no one was around to let us out. There was no bell to ring or number to call the staff so had to use the fire escape and climb over an outside wall. There was no hotwater to wash both in the evening and in the morning. Asked for a wake-up call, never recieved one. Although it was a double bed it wad not very long, my legs were longer then the mattress. The TV was stuck on just one channel.

"This hotel is just about adequate if all you want is a bed to sleep in." (97295492)

I found the general level of the decor poor. The bathroom was not particularly sparkling clean or well equipped. The breakfast was bad. Advice about fire evacuation was not prominently displayed.

Also before you see your room you must pay in full, which is unfair as i probably would have moved, but as we were only sleeping there it was fine for a bed. We were gone early in the morning and home late at night. Also the breakfast is 1 sausage, 1 egg, 2 toast, tea & coffee. No other selection." (97978293)

Good location very close to Alexandra Palace

RAT glue mat traps visible under the headboard of bed. Very off - putting

The room and bathroom were clean and had everything we needed.

It was more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel, although I've had better BnBs. The breakfast was extremely poor.

    nothing

The shower didn't get warm, the door was always locked so if there was a fire you couldn't get out without a member of staff coming to unlock it, the food wasn't good. The tv jumped all the time there was no remote when we asked for one it had no batteries in it. The bedlinen smelt musty.

"it's good for just a few nights, and if you're in londen for an event or so. But not for a longer stay. Than they have to lower the price a littlebit, the quality/price proportion is not good,so to speak." (3305015344)

That I had a bed to sleep on.

It's not worth the money, and it's overrated!!! On internet it seems good and clean,on the pictures on this site,a good bargain near the Highbury stadium for the testimonial of Bergkamp. But it was disappointing. It was good that it was just for a couple of nights and not for a week or so.We came there and there wasn't even a desk or an hotel lobby, just an emergencycabin with a desk outside an old building, wich they call an hotel, with an turkish kebab restaurant in front for the breakfast. And than the sleeping part and the hotelrooms: worthless. We had to change our rooms,no problem. Our first room was in front of the hotel, during the night it was as if I was laying with my pillow next to a freeway, way to noisy and no ventilation,so i went down to the nightwatch in his emergencycabin for a ventilator he brought it to me 5 minutes later, and it was better to have a cooling system in the room(it had the noise of an lawnmower, but it was a littlebit cooler, have to make a little consesions.) No the owners of this hotel try to make quick money, with an very old building that's not suitable for hotel.

I didnt,no curtains on the windows,no hot water for a shower, the breakfast was rubbish, beans ,a badly cooked scrabbled egg and 2 cold toast and a coffee, when I asked for orange, she said it would cost £1,and when I refused to pay £1,she said 40 pence, total rip off.I arrived for breakfast at 9.45 and was tol it was too late after being informed the day before it was between 8-10am.So ,staff dont care are ignorant and pathetic

Get proper staff and remember the customer is paying for a good service, better still, close the hotel down until you remember how to treat customers
