General facilities, restaurant menu and quality of food, great location

More staff cover on reception for checking in would be recommended

    Nice and clean rooms.

The horrendous noise from the building work going on in the foyer.

"The hotel was great apart from the restauraut." (97359278)

Good accommodation - central and clean. Rooms got very warm as the radiators were on.

The restaraunt was awful - very overpriced and the food was horrid - either overcooked, cold or not fresh.

"Enjoyed a good stay in the Camden Court. The staff were very helpful, the room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good. Only gripe was that when we arrived the 'complimentary private and secure car parking' was not available (we had discounted other hotels due to lack of parking) and we had to park half a mile away in Saint Stephen's." (97498583)

    Good central location

"Hotel is convenient for tourist trip to Dublin. Underground car parking and leisure suite impressive for a room at this price. When booking on a room only basis, it would have been useful to know that breakfast is charged at 12 Euro if purchased separately at the hotel. I would recommend the hotel for anyone wanting a comfortable stay at a reasonable price in Dublin." (99248314)

clean, quiet room, good location in Dublin. Good facilities including leisure suite. Good value.

restaurant and bar lacked atmosphere. wireless internet expensive to use

Room was faultless, clean nicely decorated and modern, hot easy to use shower plenty of clean white towels. Free parking, lovely leisure centre, modern clean rooms, lovely hot shower, what more can you ask for. I was very happy. plenty to eat at breakfast and good times too 7-11. I wanted to stay for longer, will stay here again in the future." (99606704)

the sheets on the bed were ironed crisp beautifully folded. and the red and cream modern room and decor were superb. lovely lamps in the room and on the walls. sky telly with loads of channels and a fabulous bathroom where the shower was easy to work and the water hot in seconds. i liked the fact there was a trouser press and iron in the room. very handy.

"The electricity broke down in the Restuarant on Saturday moning and they were not is a position to supply breakfast. Only cereal, could not even get coffee or tea. This situation was not handled well and when we went to check out, having paid for b and b we had to ask for a refund. There was no procedure in place to deal with situations like this and we, together with a number of other guests in the same position where left standing at Reception waiting for a decision to be made. We waited for approx. 15 minutes before this problem was resolved. A Manager had to be called and he spoke to some guests only, in the end we got a refund of €8 each. This was not the problem, it was the bad way it was handled, obviously the Restaurant is Franchised out and the hotel did not want to know and the Restaurant threw their hands up in the air and just said there was a breakdown. The electricity was working in the rest of the hotel, including lifts and it was working in the surrounding buildings. Have dofficulity answering the next question over the way this was handled, otherwise I would recomment it." (99040827)

Accommodation was clean and adequate, good value for money. The bar was comfortable and friendly and lunch in the restaurant, was very good. The location and availability of car park excellent. The staff were professional and friendly with the exception of the incident outlined below.

"On our arrival the staff at checkin were very friendly and helpful. We found our room to be a good size with lovely firm beds although the pillows were a little too hard, however all in all, a good room. I would definately ask for a room on the 6th floor again, not only is it the only floor that has an iron and ironing board in the room but it is nice and quiet aswell. Breakfast was lovely, it is buffet service but you are handed out your hot food by the chef and I would have liked to ask for more but felt cheeky! Restaurant area was nice and big and unlike some hotels, it didn't feel claustrophobic. Location was superb, 2 minute walk from St Stephens Green and there's a really nice, friendly pub just outside of the main doors for that last night cap. I would recommend you book a taxi well in advance however as we had to wait longer than expected when we booked ours for the return trip to the airport which meant we were a little worried about missing our checking but it turned out ok. I will be recommending this hotel to everyone I know who is thinking of a trip to Dublin and we have already decided we will be visiting again in the new year." (3305031610)

Staff wereextremely willing and able to help with any assistance required and the accommodation itself was an excellent standard and provided us with excellent value for money - will definately use this hotel again when next visiting Dublin.

Only one issue was we didn't get our alarm call on the monring of the wedding we were attending but luckily, we didn't miss the coach!

"Overall the stay was OK, even if it was a little expensive. The leisure facilities are showing their age and could do with a clean / lick of paint. The room I had was very small and the window was in front of the hotel signage uplights." (3305116070)

Location. Free parking. Friendly staff. Food

Room was too small and some of the leisure facilities did not work and appeared to be a little tired.

"Very enjoyable, and the staff were very helpful in what was a very busy week-end in the sporting calendar for Dublin. It is also very good to have on-site car parking as opposed to paying exhorbitant fees for public car parks." (2911060)

Clean, spacious. Obviously the hotel has had a recent revamp and modernisation throughout.

Possibly a separate bar area as opposed to the general reception area.

  • 7/10 Therese (Young couple)

    from Newry , United Kingdom;GB on  February 15, 2006

"There was no entertainment available which was a bit disappointing as there has been entertainment in the past. This was due to refurbishment of their bar facilities but was not reflected in the price of the stay." (3304210870)

The room was very attractively painted and decorated. It was very warm and inviting.

Catering was very poor. The food was too rich and I actually was physically sick. The hotel needs to accommodate for bland tastes.
