"The welcombe you receive from Sue & Toni was excellent with nothing too much trouble, the breakfasts were very good, well cooked and presented perfectly. They are at present undergoing some building work but, that didn't interfere with our stay. We are planning to go back to Bath next summer and would not hesitate to rebook this hotel." (97281319)
The bedroom was decorated very tastefully with a lovely half tester bed and very comfy at that.
The small hand basin in the bathroom was a little on the small size and too low, i'm 6ft and found it difficult to have a wash & shave in, also the shower would not stay in one place it tended to wonder which made it difficult to enjoy a shower.

"A really nice place. Good breakfasts and very clean. Ask for a room with a view of the back garden overlooking the valley. The rooms at the front are still nice, but do not look over the fantasitic views out the back. I would come back to this B & B." (97503052)
A beautiful atmosphere in the midst of a busy place. A great location for us to use as a home base for our travels in the Bath and Bradford-on-Avon area. Our family (teenagers aged 16 and 19)particularly enjoyed the breakfasts in the conservatory.
The garden was under construction while we were there. It should be fantastic once it is finished.

Pretty rooms but small for the money. The owner herself was pleasant and helpful and she has excellent taste and very pleasant staff.
No tea or coffee in the rooms and also they are doing the garden up which is a bit of a mess. Think while this is going on they should offer a discount. The directions on the computer are poor and I went up and down the London Road in Bath four times before having to ask the way.

Everything - especially the check out time of 11am. Most hotels are 10am so it was a treat after Breakfast to pack leisurely before our departure.

"The hotel was very comfortable with lovely views over Bath. The host was very friendly and helpful, with an initial mix up over rooms being sorted out quickly. Refreshments were brought to where ever in the hotel we wished. The lack of evening dining was compensated for by several good restaurants within walking distance. We both enjoyed our stay and would return." (99820781)
Relaxed atmosphere.
Lack of tea/coffee facilities in the room.

Very pretty property, with lovely touches for Christmas season. While we advised we were unable to stay for a late breakfast, a very lovely breakfast was provided to us early and we really appreciated that very much with a long drive ahead.
We felt squeezed for every little thing. . .we were charged 10 pence for calling a taxi and restaurant which we thought absurd. My husband asked for a glass of water, and we were charged 2 pounds fifty pense for a bottle of sparkling water. It made an otherwise perfect stay seem like the propritor was very desperate for money. And perhaps she was, so we took it in stride and made no comment.

"Perfect base to stay to explore Bath and the surrounding area. 20 minutes walk downhill into town (30 minutes walk uphill back again but very reasonable taxi fares if one gets too tired!)Car parking facilities a real bonus if required." (99509402)
Elegant, clean and comfortable
Lots of stairs up to the room. Not a huge problem for us except my 63 year old mother is too polite to let another woman carry her bag up for her!

"Tarsburgh house is fantastic. The owner, Sue Keeling, and her staff do everything possible to make guests feel at home. The facilities are top notch. Gardens outside are beautiful. The house is a 20 minute walk from downtown Bath. We found it best to walk into town and cab back - the hotel is uphill from the town center. I wouldn't consider another hotel if I return to Bath." Beautiful setting. Great owner and staff - Sue & Les. Room was great. The house is very clean. Breakfast was wonderful.

"although it did not affect us it would have been good to know about the work in progress to the garden and coach house. the location was described as near the canal whereas it was nearer the road, thereby giving a slightly misleading impression of a emi-rural setting" (3305243942)
good service, excellent breakfast, good size room
if staying for longer would have wanted a bigger bathroom

"AS a first time visitor to the U.K. I was overwhelmed by this lovely bed and breakfast. The breakfasts were excellent and the home setting was outstanding. Within walking distance of Bath and a lovely views. My daughter and I were there for 2 nights and loved every minute of it. It should be noted however that there are steep stairs to the rooms and no lift. Not a problem for us but could be for others." (3305149272)

"It can always be a bit of a lottery when you search for accomodation on the internet, but the reviews of this hotel really did help. This is not a five star establishment and people should remember this when they post their comments. For value for money, we would give it 10/10. We have previously stayed at star rated hotels and they were not a patch on this friendly and well run hotel. The attention to detail in the hotel is very good and the themed rooms add to the charm. Thank goodness for the proprietors down to earth approach and friendliness. Something lacking in more expensive establishments. We were made to feel very welcome and nothing would have been too much for our host to arrange. If we travel to Bath again, we will know where to stay without hesitation." (3304759098)
A very welcoming feel to the hotel. The family room was comfortable and well furnished with good information about the town and surrounding area. Clean facilities and attention to detail. A varied and good selection at breakfast was a great bonus.
Nothing to dislike!

"A hotel with a feel good factor. The hotel is on a hill and has great views. It is easy to walk down into Bath (about 20 minutes) and we did not attempt to walk back up. Taxis are cheap (less than £5.00) and can be found at the taxi ranks near Pulteney Bridge. This means you can leave your car at the hotel and not bother with trying somewhere to park in town. The hotel's owner made every effort to make us feel very welcome indeed and is very knowledgeable about Bath and gave useful tips on where to go and how to go about it. The rooms are individually styled and have a cosy feel as does the residents' lounge with its big sofas and fireplace. There is also a pretty conservatory and terrace overlooking the extensive gardens down to the Kennet and Avon canal. It is about 100 yards along the canal to reach a bridge to the tow path on the other side which leads to Bath. Lovely walk, but not easy till you get to the bridge. Bath is well documented so no need to mention any of the sights. One thing worthwile is the Bizarre Bath walk, which is not so much a walk as an experience. Go for it and get a surprise! To sum it up: Bath is beautiful, but it's the Tasburgh House Hotel that really made our stay." (3304629685)
The different themed rooms were a nice touch. Splendid hospitality and equally splendid breakfast. All this crowned by superb location and views.
The size of the bathroom - too small.

"The hotel was very warm and welcoming. Decor to a very high standard and staff very friendly and informative. The gardens which go right down to the canal will be magnificent when finished. there are lovely views from the hotel and gardens, and it is a real peaceful retreat after a busy day in Bath. It has the added bonus of free parking which is a real bonus in Bath." (3304701563)

Room not large but spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed. Large windows with lovely view across canal. Delicious breakfast which we ate in the conservatory adjoining the dining room. I should imagine the terrace is very pleasant in the summer. Staff very friendly.

"This is a perfect hotel for those on a budget, for a weekend break in Bath - excellent views of the town in the valley below, and only a 10 min walk into the centre. "The owner welcomed me in from the moment I arrived. In my beautiful room was even a letter addressed to me welcoming me into the house. The view of Bath was spectacular! Sue arranged an absolutely perfect weekend for me as well - everything from dinner reservations to taxis to things to do. I really felt like I had been very well taken care of and the room (especially the bed) was so comfortable and very clean as well. I would highly recommend this hotel." (107285970)
Everything - service, cleanliness, atmosphere, views of Bath, food, cocktails - was perfect.
