"A good clean and friendly medium size hotel in a good location. The menu could have been more extensive as it was a basic pub food menu in the main. But saying that the steak I had was cooked perfect. " (97689741)
Staff friendly, somewhere to relax and chat with other guests, also outside area good in nice weather.
The only point I could use was that the showerhead was a bit on the small side old fashioned but it worked OK.

"Hotel needs more atmosphere; bar & dining room are not very welcoming (no permanent bar staff, receptionist has to double up) Food average, nothing special - no personal tea or coffee pot at breakfast, just a communal one building and grounds have potential" (97330170)
clean shower & bathrooom room clean and tidy friendly staff
not enough blankets or quilt on bed shower was small with curtain not door

The room was spotlessly clean, roomy and well situated, the breakfast was superb and the staff were very very helpful and friendly.
The only down side was the tea cups on the tray, both were veru badly discoloured and off putting to say the least, but I was desperate for a cuppa!!

"The information provided when using the internet to search for Hotels in the Northwich Area was comprehensive. Wincham Hall Hotel provided my wife and I with a good base for a few days break. The Hotel serves an excellent evening meal with a wide variety of dishes and the breakfast is more than adequate." (97360778)
The Hotel was easy to find in a pleasant and quiet rural location. Easy parking and good road access to local towns and their facilities
Nothing, it met all our requirements

"The location is lovely - very quiet and peaceful, the staff were great and the atmosphere pleasantly relaxing. The restaurant was also fine and the gardens were lovely. The only thing that let the hotel down was the decor. The bedding was so very dated and the en suite looked shabby. If they invested in a mini makeover they could charge more per room and secure more repeat bookings I'm sure. I would definately recommend this hotel after a makeover but not with the current decor which is a huge shame as everything else about it was great!" (99637447)
Informal, friendly atmosphere. Very welcoming, beautiful grounds.
The decor really let the place down. The hotel is in desperate need of updating. My twin room looked very tired and as such lacked comfort.

"this hotel caters mainly for business people and weddings not for visitors exploring the area. the waste bin in the bathroom was never emptied and the beds not made (i had to make my own bed on the last night of my stay) i had to ask for toilet rolls to be replenished. the bathroom and bedroom carpets were not hoovered during our stay. the staff were friendly and helpful. i consider the hotel to be over priced" (99690891)
pleasant,peaceful location and friendly,helpful staff
poor standard of housekeeping

I thought the accomodation was good, but thought the price of the room was to high, maybe £35 pounds was a fair price to pay
could of had a fridge or mini bar in the room.

"Overall our opinion was that The Wincham Hall offered excellent value for money. The staff we encountered on duty at both the wedding function we attended and in the dining and reception areas, were politely helpful and very accommodating. The spacious and hotel grounds and car parking facilties were a plus. When visiting the area again we would certainly ensure that The Wincham Hall is our first point of enquiry. Mr & Mrs R Riley. Littleborough, Lancs" (99311352)
It was clean and tidy, comfortably warm with full facilities backed up by very professional management and staff.
Hard beds (mattresses and pillows).

"The staff are friendly and helpful but the accommodation is very poor, one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. It is in desparate need of refurbsihment." (99748510)
This hotel is in desparate need of refurbishment, it is dated, drab and depressing.

"Shaving mirror light didn't work, problem for us blokes in the morning. Restaurant meal OK but lamb fillet should be pink when they say it will be and creamy mash shouldn't be lumpy, all squeezed onto a plate smaller than the cheese plate. Evening staff very friendly but service at table like the local pub not hotel style. Morning staff, suggest you get rid." (99302098)
not much local choice so rated ok undisturbed sleep but not more than 2 other guests in the whole hotel anyway so not much of a test.
breakfast waitress/receptionist seemed more interested in chatting up chef in kitchen than attending tables or checking out. Port served in a tumbler! Indicates lack of staff training to me.

"A nice little hotel, well run, but could do with a bit of investment to bring the standards up a bit and make a stay a more pleasant experience. Breakfast starts at 7 am and nothing is available before this time, the facility to get tea and toast earlier would be useful." (99983335)
The staff were very friendly and helpful
The hotel room whilst clean was a bit scruffy and worn, could do with a bit of modernisation.

"A good funtional hotel, good for the price, but a little extra care with bathroom woudl have made it very good value." (99981016)

"Food was incredibly good - well worth the awards they've won. Staff were fantastic, too. It's a 5* hotel from these two perspectives but needs to spend on up-grading the slightly shabby rooms and walls which are seemingly made from thin plasterboard." (99303851)
Dreadfully thin walls: the guy in the next-door room's phone calls were far from private. Bathroom fittings (taps and blinds) were in need of repair

"We can thoroughly recommend this hotel and felt that it provided excellent value foor money. We were surprised and delighted at the menu and quality of the food." (3304552748)
The location was excellent with large mature gardens. The menu and food were of a very high standard and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Our only complaint was that the shower was rather inefficient.

"I have stayed in hotels with larger rooms and better facilities however I must admit very few match the friendliness and helpfullness of the staff. The food was excellent and the setting very pleasant - pity they couldn't control the weather to match the surroundings. One of the better nights away and at a reasonable rate - I will certainly use this hotel again if I am in the area." (3304775259)

"I enjoyed staying there and will book again next year." (107493719)
Service was excellent!
The first room I stayed in for the first night has 2 power points that didn't work, I couldn't have the bedside lamp next to my bed.
