"The well equpied room has tea/coffer facilities, hairdryer and cute, small iroining table had iron. The decor is quite modern but relaxing with colour co-ordinated soft furnishings.Comfortable beds and duvets that were clean nd fresh. There was hardly any traffic noise for a front facing room, a bonus point! Powerful shower and sensible size towels to round off a busy day.The hotel is central for the theatre, shops and cinema and within walking distance of Central Station. Excellent, I will be returning." (97233833)

The room was large and well equiped, comfortable bed and had lounge chairs as well.

"When making a room booking online the information about type of rooms is not clear." (97289178)

Good food, ideally situated in the Glasgow business quarter for business travellers, and pleasant interiors.

The room was a double but was very small, which wasn't what I was expecting as I have stayed at this hotel many times this year and last year.

"Very good room service and an excellent breakfast." (97042446)

    Comfortable bed and generally guiet.

There is no choice regarding the number of beds in a room. As I Would prefer just one double or king size bed if given the choice, and not a triple which seems to be the norm.

The decor in the room was pleasant rather than just boring magnolia.

Builing works taking place which I didn't know about. No information about the hotel facilities in the bedroom. No little shampoo and body lotion or tissues in bathroom. No trouser press in bedroom. No eating facilities. Little brown bag outside bedroom door in the morning for breakfast which was nice but we didn't know about it. Reception staff were getting in quite a muddle booking us in which was annoying as I had all the details printed off from internet.

Pre theatre dinner excellent quality and good value for money. At breakfast again good quality food well prepared and served. We will now always use Marks when in Glasgow." (97442055)

Good size room, clean and reasonably quiet at night considering city centre location.

A few more toiletries eg shower cap a few more teabags and some biccies would be nice!

  • 3/10 Michael (Solo business traveller)

As bedrooms go it was OK - it had a bed, a toilet and a working shower

Some hip finishes disguise dated furniture, lack of thought over the TV positioning - no mini bar!

There was no advance warning on the Active Hotels booking site or on the confirmation received. there was little or no information in the room about the hotel, its facilities or the company which owns/manages it." (99997596)

    Cleanliness, comfort of bed.

Work going on in hotel and lack of availability of facilities.

The decor was very attractive and the room was comfortable.

The television reception in the room was very poor. There were no on-site food and drink facilities, due to refurbishment.

"It was a short walk from the central train station although the hill was a bit tough with the suitcases!! The staff were very friendly when checking in and one member of staff booked taxi's for us and got train time tables he was very helpfull and friendly. We went for breakfast the second morning in the hotel bar it was very expensive at 7.50 where as we got the same breakfast for 1.99 the previous morning but we weren't fit to walk the distance. The rooms were very clean and spacious, we had 3 people staying in the rooms and it was no problem to have extra towels delivered up to our roon." (99989018)

Friendly staff, Clean Fresh Room, Close to centre, We would recommend this hotel.

Our rooms were not beside each other but that was because we booked it late so it was not the hotels fault

"I had a very good stay, and would recommend the hotel to friends and family. The location is excellent for theatres, shops and the general night life one would expect in a bustling city. It was very good value for money, and I will certainly use Bewley's again." (99166267)

The hotel security was very good. I liked having to use my door pass to gain entry to the lifts servicing the rooms

There was a problem in that there was no water until about 8.30am. On basis that I had a business meeting at 9.15am that was a bit of an inconvenience. Having said that the hotel moved quickly in resolving the problem. However, there was no compensation given for the inconvenience. Even a free cup of coffee would have been a good PR gesture.

The room was clean, tidy and of reasonable standard. Has a good bar and restaurant with friendly service.

Only issue was no cold water! this made having a shower problematic! Staff did fix the problem but took couple of hours.

It was well situated for shopping, it offered a triple room which we found quite difficult to find and the price was extremly reasonable. I would use this hotel again in the future.

    No on site parking.
