"Surprisingly good food and a pleasant stay." (107116983)
The staff were particularly welcoming and provided good service (with exception of one member of the bar staff who was sullen and appeared not to enjoy her job).
The water in the shower was far too hot, couldn't adjust it. Complained to reception and thermostat adjusted too much so that it was only luke warm! No light bulb in table lamp on the desk.

"Suggest customers are advised if they are going to be placed in the seperate building; breakfast serving a little late at 8am especially when Crufts opened at 8.15 giving insufficient time to eat cooked breakfast." (97221211)
Convenient; good food
Room decor and furniture very 'tired'; cracked toilet pan and seat; noisy extractor in bathrrom; bed creaked with slightest movement; TV so old and out of condition it probably needs a new valve!

it was a clean comfortable hotel nicely decorated.
we thought that the serving of breakfast was a bit slow and i was told that there were no tea pots left when i could quite clearly see used ones on breakfast tables that had not been cleaned away. i was then asked if i would like one of them washing for me to use and that should go without saying not to turn round to a customer and ask them that other than that we had a pleasent stay.we did think that the alcoholic drinks were a little bit pricey.

Location friendly staff
Bed was very uncomfortable and heating in the room could not be turned off, which made the nights even more uncomfortable.

"The staff were friendly and accomodating and this was helpful." (99077588)
The fact that the family room was spacious enough to accomodate 4 people comfortably plus a baby. It was good value for the cost.
The stairs with a young family. And the room was a bit stuffy initially, needed more airing.

"The hotel was very well situated for the NEC. The food in the restaurant was good and the staff were polite and helpful. I felt that apart from what I call atttention to detail and the care of guests (which I think on both accounts could be rectified easily with a little thought to detail) the hotel was good." (99958636)
easy access to the NEC.
bad reception on arrival and departure. Blocked toilet in room. Very poor curtain rail.(fell of wall very easily in our room.)Very loud music could be heard in our room from the restaurant and bar. (It was lucky that we were exausted after a day at the NEC , so we were able to sleep through most of it.)

"Apart from the observations already mentioned, our stay was perfectly plesant and we would most definitely stay again." (99112930)
All the staff were very frendly and helpful. The rooms were of good size and clean.
The only negitive thing about our stay was the food. The food was cold on more than one occasion and had to be sent back to the kitchen. My wife and son ordered steaks one evening, which were barely warm and unfortunately, tastless. Also, it would have been nice to have more variety on the menu.

We stayed in a room in the house opposite the hotel. It was quiet, warm and spacious and had all the facilities you would expect. The hotel is convieniently situated for the NEC.
