    Cost

    Very basic

Cuisine was good but lacked variety in the English menu. Nice setting.

Insufficient staff. Insufficient cleaning of bathroom. Dirty laundry left lying in corridors throughout the day and outside our room until well into the evening! Reception unaware that we had already paid for our stay after booking online. Window in first room offered to us was not attached to its hinges and presented a clear danger to any guests!

"Hotel bar had disco on until 1am and noise continued outside until approx 3am so sleep impossible.I paid for two nights and only stayed one." (107102761)

    view from room

Room was advertised as an "executive double" when it was clearly not. Apart from being small and in need of redecoration, new carpet etc, the shower room was very small and the shower itself was filthy. This hotel should not be classed as three stars.

"The location was perfect. Very close to the aquarium which was one of our things we wanted to see. A very enjoyable walk along the harbour. The food was good and the service was also good. The only complaint was the size of the bathroom, but for one or two nights it was sufficient." (97984654)

It was very clean and our view onto the harbour was wonderful. The amenities were good

The only thing that was not good was the size of the bathroom.

    "Reminicent of Fawlty Towers." (108066754)

    location

No sign to tell guests that the reception is on the first floor so you are left wondering if you are in the righ place. Woken at three in the morning by drunks. On opening the door to go down to breakfast was bombarded by linen which had been stacked against the door by the drunks. (why was the linen available to them and locked away as it should have been. No mention on the web site that the restuarant was primarily asian. At breakfast I ordered bacon and scrambled eggs and received bacon and a slice of something which had once been scrambled egg but what had happened to it from the time it was scrambled egg and the time it arrived on my plate I dread ti think.

    "enjoyable" (97693001)

Staff very friendly and bed very comfortable

Dinner menu fairly limited, mostly asian cuisine which we were not aware of when booking. Breakfast menu good and well cooked and presented

"I have ticked no to stay at this hotel again, but the planned revamp that the manager was discussing with my partner & myself sounds promising, I may in the future consider it." (97776764)

Staff where very friendly & helpful, breakfast was nice.

The food on the evening was poor, this I must add was from the European menu, we did'nt get to try the Indian food which I did hear from someone was very good. The rooms are in need of up dating, however I was informed that the owners had just taken over & this was on their to do list.

A little run down but clean

Could not fill the kettle at the very small sinks in the en suite

Excellent wireless internet coverage in the hotel Lacked off street parking but adequate on street parking available Very good Aqua restaurant Overall very good for a business visit" (97258154)

"No name sign outside hotel meant we drove past and had to stop and ask someone. Maybe new owners hadn't got around to that yet. Staff were very cheerful and friendly. Excellent Indian food in restaurant but 'bacon' at breakfast was more like a slice of gammon." (97151925)

clean good view of harbour and sea.

"What can I say. We booked an 'executive' double room. On check in we were first assigned a single room, then once that was sorted the room we were given was less than executive. The bathroom was tiny with a toilet squashed into a space so tiny neither myself or my wife could use it in comfort. We then looked at the bed to find that the bed clothes were ripped and full of holes, at this point we decided we could not live with the room. We complained at which point we were asked what had happened to the bed clothes! We did get a family room in the end, but were very glad we only booked one night!" (97537248)

    cheap

poor customer service, tiny, scruffy room, torn bed clothes, unusable toilet

Had all the basics. Good food, although curry was a bit salty. Staff were friendly and polite - always good.

Breakfast menu could include more alternatives, e.g., croissants. Porridge was too runny. No Bible in room. Details of local Churches in rooms would have been good. Bathroom was very small.

    Comfortable, warm, great view.
