"Hotel recently opened. Very tastefully decorated . Very clean. Big plus for us no children. Owners very friendly wish we could have stayed longer Highly Recommended Would help if directions on this website a little clearer. Access via narrow lane close to one way system easily missed. Would be a shame not to visit this lovely hotel" (97801805)

"The hotel is on the outskirts, a five minute walk down to Lake Windermere. We found this perfect, the hotel is down a quiet lane with no traffic so at night it was very peaceful. Wheatlands has its own car park which is useful at busier times. The welcome that we received was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We only stayed one night. The room was stunning, the view was superb and the bathroom was absolutely perfect with its huge made for two bath! We were there for a romantic getaway and this hotel was perfect. The breakfast was fantastic, warm brioche, cereals and a variety of fruits, full English all served at a lovely pace - nothing felt rushed. We will return very soon for a longer stay." (97186149)
The hotel has recently undergone total refurbishment, the rooms are stunning, the bathrooms luxurious, it is a beautiful hotel.

"The owners made us really welcome from the moment we arrived and made our stay a very special one. I chose the hotel to propose to my girlfriend(now fiance) and it was the perfect weekend away. All the rooms are clean and are decorated with a nice modern feel that could appeal to all ages. " (97639380)

"Considering that Joe and Sarah only bought the hotel in April 2007 they have done a fantastic job transforming 4 run down apartments into a lovely hotel and opening their doors at the end of October 2007. The hotel has been beautifully renovated to create a lovely place to hide away in Windermere. Our room at the top of the building was a beautiful space where we could really relax. They have got it just right with the breakfast they provide with lots of healthy options for those who don't want the full english experience!" (97320059)
Joe and Sarah who own and run the hotel gave us a very warm welcome as well as providing us with a beautiful room and great service.
I can honestly say that there was nothing to dislike about our stay at The Wheatlands Lodge. We had a really lovely time.
