"Would consider staying there again if there was another offer to be had. Would have been very dissapointed if we had stayed there and paid the normal rack rate of ?189 per night - ROOM ONLY! Not sure how it gets a four star rating to be honest." (108023613)

Good location, friendly staff, well appointed rooms.

Water was running brown due to water being turned off in the area - not strictly speaking the hotels fault. No air conditioning in room. Lightbulb over the mirror in the bathroom was missing. Loo roll holder didn't hold the loo roll!

Although clearly old-world, the hotel has been refurbished and the room was larger than usual with a massive double bed. The view over the city was breathtaking and a welcome change from hotels where the view is limited. The gym is a welcome addition to the usual package.

    Breakfast was disappointing, but adequate.

"Generally OK - for a hotel so apparently plush (as on website) the overall feel was tired. Staff were generally friendly and helpful. Didn't get to use gym/pool so can't vouch for it." (107129896)

    Generally comfortable stay

Room toilet barely able to flush a sheet of tissue paper away, possibly due to being at low level of hotel. Reported to reception but no improvement. Resorted to using toilets in public areas. Table d'hote menu (spelled "table dot" in menu card) was more expensive than buying most of the components seperately. Only a small number of choices meant you got any kind of "deal".

"Excellent, have rebooked to stay again" (107112517)

Very good and varied menus in restaurants. Location of apartments. Quietness.
