" I've already reserved a room there for my next stopover. The cleanliness & convenience, for the price, won me over." (108035641)
The hotel was very close to the metro; extremely convenient, with multiple restaurants, a grocery store, etc., within a few blocks. My room was small but everything was very clean and comfortable. Wireless internet access was free in the rooms. The breakfast was nothing fancy, but nice and in a pleasant room: bread, boiled eggs, juice, coffee.
You are asked to leave your key at the front desk whenever you leave the hotel (even if just for the day), which is strange. Inside the room, there is no deadbolt lock or method of preventing personnel from entering at night. There is a nondiscreet 'Sex Shop' close by which could be uncomfortable for families.

"Dont stay in this hotel unless you've no alternative" (99184821)
Staff were efficient at processing a refund when we decided to leave without staying a night (needless to say we lost one nights fee)
Room was not made up when allocated to us. Unsafe electrical wiring. Inadequate fire safety. Room very shabby and generally unclean.

"A really good choice!" (108029918)
Particularly impressed with friendliness of staff. Arrived at nearly midnight on Eurostar and was installed in room in minutes! Luggage looked after next day whilst I visited Montmartre.

the elevator, friendly and reliable tips and advise from staff. they went out of their way to assist us everyday. The room was the best we found in its area of paris and i am suprised it didnt run us more.
none, i only wish we could have staye don our return trip. But it was booked and i chose a hotel around the block, which was more expensive and not even close to on par with this one.

"It's a basic hotel, for functional purposes only owing to it's ideal location to the station. For that reason the hotel was fine. If you're looking for creature comforts however, you may be best looking elsewhere" (97669568)
Location. Close to Guard De Nord
Rooms were very small

"As stated above the heating did not work so we had to sleep in fleeces, there was only tepid water to wash with, the bedspread was covered with cigarette burn holes and the walls were badly stained so I was glad we only had to stay one night and it was not worth the money we paid for it." (97344459)
The proximity to the Gare du Nord was excellent
The heating did not work so the room was freezing, there was no hot water available only tepid, the bedspread had cigarette burns all over it, the walls were stained and there was no curtain at the bathroom window

Friendly and helpful staff.
Room was clean but tatty and in need of some renovation. Did not get room with balcony, which I'd requested.

Very convenient for central Paris, able to leave luggage at Hotel before check in and after check out, bed linen clean, ceiling fan in room.
No facility for making drinks {tea coffee), had to ask reception for a toilet roll as none in bathroom.

"The hotel is what it is, basic accom close to the train station. The rooms are small and the beds are in need of replacement. Saying that we had a good nights sleep and the staff were more than helpfull. We opted not to leave our luggage as it was just left in reception which we felt was not very secure and we left them in the lockers in the train station. Would we stay again ? If the stay was 2 nights or less then yes, much longer we would prefer a larger room with facilities like tea and coffe." (97710867)
Hotel was very easy to find, less than 1 miniute from the gare du nord
Beds are in neeed of replacement.

"the hotel being directly opposite the Gare de Nord and with a taxi stand directly outside and bus pick up point also it was great for transport. a lively street with great resturants and bar choices. quaint little balcony out the french doors of the room and the original hotel lift and staircase with the touch of France! the staff were happy and helpful. one occassion at 1:30am the next room had several rowdy male occuppants, a quick call to reception and the matter was handled politely and quickly. For travellers using BusAbout it is a 2 min taxi or 10min walk to their hotel pick up location. Slightly expensive, but not comparatively for Paris." (99205250)
fantastic location! good outlook from french doors. staff friendly and helpful.

"I would book a room and ask for a balcony next time. That made the difference for us." (99670152)
We had a room 204 and that was nicely located vieuwing Gare du Nord with it's great diversity of travellers and the local community blending. Also nice to have your breakfast outside on the balcony. The greatest show on Earth. 1 minute fro TGV and within a fair walking distance of every single famous item in Paris. Walked a lot and enjoyed the weekend. Nice people serving you in the hotel.
The cover over the bed was kind of suspect in terms of cleanliness, but refreshed immediately. I did some DIY activities with the shower myself. Problem solved.

Quiet and peacefull,Sheets were clean but the blankets were a little suspect.
The plumbing was atrocious, when you let soiled water out of the basin it re-apeared in the bidet. There was no hot water in the evening and there was a short circuit on the light bulb over the mirror in the shower room. This meant to have any light one had to keep adjusting the flouresant light in its holder. This is highly dangerous where water is close by.Avoid room 203.

Helpful, efficient hotel staff at check in. Plus they were happy to allow us to leave our bags at the hotel on the day of checking out until later in the day when we travelled home.
Little space to sit on the toilet! The kitchen had run out of butter for breakfast. No cold water was available to drink at breakfast.
